Youd think it must be cup related as he says "if you believe in this sort of thing" However I well remember watching Hearts blow up in 1986 in the league and Aberdeen horsing them a week later in the cup final. Rangers also won in it in their centenery year in '73 and it was 97 and 98 Killie and Hearts won it before the OF went on to dominate again from '99 onwards Ban the chunt if he's got us all scratching our head on a wild goose chase

Hardcore ? Hark at Wolfie Smith there with the molotov cocktail , bloody fist and face mask You're preaching to the choir on the 50/50 split and with 25k tickets there would obviously be plenty of day trippers. However folk that are turning up on the day for the first time in 20 years IMO are fuck all fans compared to those who spend the time and hard earned following the team up and down the country week in week out. I dont think that's elitist , theres plenty of elitism on here though. Uberfans on the big couch of a weekend at kick off time moaning about songs and smoke bombs and the likes. And sorry to burst the fantasy but becoming a moderator on here might give you a wee bump on the front of your trousers and something new to put on your next tweet to Tommy , it doesnt give you the right to be telling regular attenders like MJW to stay away from the final though :wank:

What a load of pish. Folk that have suffered week in week out over the years deserve the day out more than your granny whos out for the day and no doubt moaning like fuck about the unpleasant shouts and nasty songs in between asking what colour we play in and what way we're shooting

We're up to our knees in postal fees surrender or you'll die ... ?

Strange then that you should have so much to say after Hibs and on this thread.

Not really the case though is it. The guy that the pack is after just now has said all along that he doesnt think McCall is the man for the job , he isnt blowing in the wind and has given his reasons for it. The usual suspects have then rounded on him and used the victory last week to have a go at him. Never ceases to amaze me that the biggest and best fans on here , the ones complaining about songs , behaviour of fans and negativity from others are more than regularly the ones sitting on here while the match is in progress.

Other than the skirt , bumbag and hat with the ridiculous feather is there much of a difference ? One lot thinks they are soldiers/brigadiers are more interested in politics than the football , have a superiority complex , sing songs about battles hundreds of years ago in among other cringeworthy ditties whereas the other lot ... er erm are a bunch of hypocritical wankers ?

Agreed , loanee premiership strikers who would do the damage in the SPL are plentiful. The question is are we willing to pay for them ? Have things changed under Derek Weir and there will be no Blackman , Ruddy , Jutkiewicz type loans , the downsizing on the managerial appointment front suggests perhaps

McCall's initial reaction to seeing the team in action "ah'm gonnae need a bigger wand"
-
Butcher had already been at the club for a year and couldnt fit what he knew about the club , its playing staff and the league in general outwith the h**s on the back of a postage stamp. Good luck Stuart

He wasnt moaning about being out of his depth or the attention during the last few months when he was propelled from taking the youths (ministeelmen ??) to sitting on the bench and being heavily involved with the first team His 3 games in charge have been shite , Sunday especially being a complete embarrasment Drinking down the Electric and being everyones pal wont alter that im afraid So aye cheers for conducting yerself well in interviews and picking a team , the wages you were trousering will have to do though , we wont be striking a medal
-
Well he hasnt been announced yet but will be at the Piggery tonight
-
Sounds like the decision is made so my moaning wont do any good Of course every appointment is a calculated gamble. At the present time we can ill afford more than any time to lose that gamble and i really dont see any sense in this appointment. Going plainly and simply on his managerial record would you touch him with a bargepole ? What attracts then ? Fuckin tough though , looks like he has the gig

Did we have (m)any other options than Butcher at that time ? If McCall is the best finances allow then fair enough , its a shite state of affairs though and IMO will end in tears fairly soon . If we had Broon on no contract and McCall on a fairly lengthy one it confirms the world has went mad Like others ive spoken to im scunnered with the news edit : Butcher was also working in the SPL , not scouting for one of his old Rangers pals in a league we cant afford to shop in
-
Nevermind balls , with the players and finances at our disposal its a bit of managerial skill we need. Personally think Boyle has lost the plot on this one Stuart McCalls dazzling CV : Played for Rangers (whoopdefuckingdoo) Was shite as Bradford manager Er thats about it Even at this late stage im hoping for a twist to this tale Stuart McCall ...

Good to see him not afraid to go in for the crunching challenge . Also bossing folk around with marking and the likes at free kicks , seems his confidence is high. Well played

Who next ? The irreplaceable , insuppressible Jim O'brien !!? We've had some world class wingers at Fir Park if ye listen tae some
-
I think its quite simple. The product is shite and over priced and a fair chunk of those who go do so only through habit thesedays. There's barely a supporters bus runs to away games now compared to days gone by , most of us know scores of folk who have gotten out of the habit of of going to the games week in week out and wont be coming back. If we move to the 'Craig we'd better hope to attract a lot of new fans because we will lose a lot of fans. Agree wholeheartedly with Fatcalf and have had the arguement with Onthefringes many a time , the thought of playing outside of Motherwell , being bussed into home games sends shivers up my spine , "We are Motherwell" ? Not if we are playing in Carfin we arent.

Craig Brown Enters The 'atmosphere At Fir Park' Debate
ML1 replied to Steve Diggle's topic in Club Chat
Another nail in the coffin. Good luck Scottish football on surviving with a handful of greetin faced asthmatics coughing up £25 to watch shite each week and be told to sit down and shut up while theyre at it. Smoke bombs FFS , hardly napalm. -
We mightve drawn Man City , been horsed 10-0 and been back in administration
