    Eternal Hope

Were you at the game on Tuesday night ? If you were then fair enough. If you werent you're just another on the list who sit on here taking a pop at folk who shell out pretty serious money to go follow their team I wasnt there on Tuesday as i was working and havent even made the effort to see the highlights. But if someone spent the best part of £50 on just getting there and getting in and thinks we shouldve done better then i'll hear them out , not tell them from the comfort of the big chair in front of the fire that they arent real Motherwell fans , and they've to fuck off and follow the Old Firm...
  2. i did say "those" rather than "you" or id have had a right go If someone gets up of a morning and says i dont know whether or not to go to the game this afternoon , i'll be associated with some of the lesser behaved sections of our support then they are a prime , prize, grade A , fud. Thats my opinion on it
  3. What was i saying the other day about the ecstasy of sanctimony on here ? We had bigger away supports when we had naughtier fans and less of the self righteous holier than thou squad. The handwringing and dashing rush to condemn our fans on the back of media lies at Pittodrie and a commentator mentioning arrests at Tannadice is up there with the most embarrassing behaviour of Motherwell fans Id bet those delicate flowers would summon up the courage to be associated with the ruffians among our support if we managed to reach Hampden , they managed to get to Nancy alright. The rest of what you say is spot on mind you. The likes of 'Onthefringes' also have the added expense just now of a new skirt and pheasant feather for the upcoming International qualifiers
  4. One of us was due an away imbalance then , not necessarily us though. With the state of our pitch i think we have little grounds for complaint on it anyway. Theres nobody got an easy last 5 games. Beat Hearts and 5th should be ours , beat Hearts and Hibs and we should be looking good for fourth
  5. I might be wrong and cant be bothered checking but if we've played one more away game than home come Tuesday night before the split how are we due 3 away and 2 home after the split ? Awaits to be corrected
  6. Its on the official MFC site 3 tough away games

Without going into whether you are right or wrong , with his assists and goals scored what does that say about the rest of the midfield who cant get near those stats despite more starts and sub appearances ?
  8. Why wait ? Driving past the outside pitch is laid , goalposts and lines are there and the doors on the building are always open
  9. Better than what the driver shouted at Jim Jeffries out of our motor BTW I thought Deucher had the beating of Reynolds just about every time on Saturday. Was a no contest in the air at least IMO

  11. If he wants to be hailed a creative genius on Steelmenonline and be told he's good enough for the Championship he's gonnae have to learn how to play the guitar , simple as that.

    Kaiser

Although im more in agreement with him than folk that think Corrigan shouldve been anywhere near international football or was some sort of Kaiser on he park.

    Jim O'brien

Bit of a relief that we seen against Killie that we make chances even without our "most creative player". I was thinking we'd struggle when he headed to the Premiership. Predictably he still got 3 votes on the MOTM poll from yesterday !
  14. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ell/8535722.stm A difficult decision for the SPL to allow the game to go ahead on Saturday accoring to Doncaster Broon on the other hand says all is well , didnt take him long to pick it up !
  15. Bearing in mind he was available for comparitively hee haw a couple of weeks ago and 'Championship' scouts have been at our games most weeks it would seem a wee reminder to these "bigger clubs" is in order. Where his agent has failed maybe Derek Johnstone can succeed. Has nobody sent them the steelmenonline MOTM poll results !?

    Jim O'Brien

Co presenting with Steve Claridge !? Clyde tonight is a bit of practice ?

    Jim O'Brien

His agent seems to be doing a great job , Middlesbrough , Aberdeen , Hearts , Hibs and St Johnstone all wanted him and now he's on Radio Clyde. Still at Motherwell i see though
  18. And as i recall i was looking resplendent that day in a new jumper bought from "System" Loads of good memories of Falkirk around that time , we usually took a fine following to Brockville, the Drookit Duck , taking a couple of thousand freeloaders to the replayed abandoned game , ending our scoring drought under McLeish (or did i make that one up ?) , someone setting off fireworks that they got from god knows where at random buildings outside the ground

    St Mirren Thread

Agreed , thought we looked low in confidence until into the second half, cant believe a post elsewhere names a few players as quality today. Wasnt much quality on view today IMO Not much quality but the team stood up and were counted , big big win today , the type of games we normally shoot ourselves in the foot in . Surely the gap we have and the form St Mirren and Killie are in sees us safe from the drop

    St Mirren Thread

We're gonnae take pelters for the pitch , especially when it comes to time for the semi final Great result against a team we normally struggle against today, especially after Monday's costly loss. Another goal for Murphy can only be a good thing , the more confidence one of our only players capable of scoring has the better

  23. First off , apologies on the personal stuff , what you like to get up to at that wee dookit at the back of the Cherry Tree and with whom after closing time of a weekend is a matter for you and nobody else on the board 3000 folk managed to get to Nancy on a Thursday night no bother and find two days for Wales , these same folk have used up all their annual leave this year by the second week in January ? That by the way isnt the point i nor the thread was making anyway , i wasnt at Killie and wont be at the game tomorrow so id have a cheek. I wont however be sat here berating those that do go for what they wear , what they shout or what they call the supporters bus that takes them there -as some folk (and it seems to be the same weirdables getting their knickers in a twist from the comforts of their own homes most of the time) on here do . I'll take a raincheck on the debate , i was always told never to argue with a fool , they drag you down to their level then beat you with experience
  24. Well i'll bow to your superior knowledge cos if anyone knows about talking pish its you , ya knob jockey Ill bet more than 200 folk wouldve managed to find leave from somewhere had it been something a little more attractive than Inverness on Monday night, i didnt go up there to see Inverness , i went up to see Motherwell That aside , im judging nobody , i couldnt make Killie on Saturday due to work , im not sitting at the laptop fuming at what those who did go are wearing though And this is the same Motherwell that told us that Bukta , Canterbury , Mark McGhee , Jim Gannon and much more have been the cats pyjamas recently , if you want to rely on them for yer info more fool you
  25. I think its a Claret and Amber fishing rod youve got. A half dozen feet transplants is what that squad needs , dont think a scarf would make much odds - unless you dooked it in water and whipped their backsides with it to encourage them to take on the opposing defenders when we have the ball.
