200 folk could be bothered on Monday , less than a dozen in Albania and you want to moan at them for what they fucking wore when following the team ?
-
Aye , poor fayre from the fans last night. Seems that they only managed to upset one or two judgemental fuckers that think they can police the entire support and are more concerned about having a pop at their own than relegation form on the park. The poor lugs at home that have usually got a moan or ten up their sleeves about those who went to the game are at a loose end today, not one single song to moan about. Bad show by those who went up at no inconsiderable cost and inconvenience.
-
Thats twice we've played them with an extra time lumped in , there hasnt been any gulf and they are a midtable SFL1 side. Only hope Wee Broon is careful when casually hinting to them, with a caring arm around the shoulder that last night wisny good enough or they'll be queuing up at John Boyles door wanting him out. Well played to folk that took the time and made the effort to get up last night , spoke to some who were up again for work at 6 this morning after getting to bed at 3 oclock. One for the players to ponder if they have any training today under the more enjoyable regime.
-
Just back , couple of things to note. Craig Broon may or may not be the man for the job , he certainly isnt the third coming (Jim Gannon being the second according to the usual suspects) as heralded on here after we thrashed the mighty, soon to be out the game Kilmarnock. and Jim O'Brien is fucking shite. That is all.
-
And it might get worse before it gets better , Jim Jeffries may get his return to Falkirk and Gus Macpherson enjoyed his time at Killie

Been on Inverness website for a while that the game is off and being played next Monday night

Cant believe anyone still gives credence to what "football" people say to the media. FFS people they say what they want you to hear. What do you expect ? Players to come out and say Broon's methods are off the Ark and he hasnt got a clue ? They are all sooking in just now hoping to make a good impression to get a game under him. Not much chance of the club sycophants that were telling us Gannon was 'the man' and that we were at the start of the revolution but are now spreading the muck about him saying a bad word about Broon and Knox either (until they leave). Talk is cheap , ill judge my managers on results thanks very much , the players have a cheek though if they think they didnt deserve some home truths . Pats on the back and being told they are world beaters when they arent even top SPL players wont do us any good in the long run. Never mind being allowed to run riot and have a jolly jape at training each day. They need to get the finger out.

And Steelboy clearly meant that not having a contract is worthless , on the other hand McGhee having one made us £200k as without one all we wouldve got was a "toodle ooh" as he waltzed out the door on his way North. Id also imagine they are a reassuring sign of commitment to a player considering signing on for a manager at any given club. Slavery has been abolished , dont think theres any arguing that you cant force people to do a job they dont want. They do ensure compensation for your assets though id have thought ?
-
Hows that ? Aberdeen bought him out his contract for a fair price. I think Steelboys point is if a manager isnt under contract he can just walk away and we wouldnt get a penny for them ?
-
Bit unfair on Leeann , she probably wasnt at the club when the lunch was booked. Now that she is here and has found her feet im sure she'll be having a word with the relevant person at the SPL to make sure the silly football doesnt interfere with the Turkey luncheon next year Oh and i hope Bain and whoever it is at FC Nonce get a similar response when they ask for their 5% ticket fee.

True , flogging a dead horse , some think he's won us many points , others dont. Last post from me on him as im sure some of you are only out to wind me up A couple of things first , when Gannon had Humphry and Slane available he wasnt adverse to moving Obrien from the attacking position or out of the team altogether so its not something out of thin air. He does have pace and a change of direction but so does a waltzer. Unfortunately his direction is just about never towards goal with purpose , heading for the corner then holding it up isnt heading to goal as far as im concerned , i think he should learn how to tackle and try for a defensive position somewhere. He's shown here and elsewhere (lets not forget his scoring and assist records elsewhere) that he isnt going to get goals or set them up in this league - and this league isnt of a very high level when it comes to defending I stand by he cant beat a full back , Slane shamed him against Llanelli when he came on (welsh part timers FFS) does winning a few throw ins out of Whittaker in what was lauded as one of his better games count ? He won us points at Tannadice by winning a penalty , if he could make meaningful runs like that for himself and not just on occasions rarer than the solar eclipse when the last defender plays him the ball in the box id see what a lot on here are seeing. 18 months , give me one name of a full back who he's had the better of (if anyone manages that, bonus point for 3 games where he's created a goal from open play , 18 months to pick from and he was doing it week in week out when playing apparantly, i'll give you Killie at home to start you off) We havent missed him IMO the past few games , the United and Aberdeen games speak for themselves. Oh and everyone is entitled to their opinion but if anyone thinks he is worth £100k ...
-
Labouring on the Redcar site dismantling the steelworks ? FFS He cant pass an SPL defender , didnt exactly rip apart the SFL ones we faced in the cup and the least said about Llanelli the better, yet you think he's Championship bound ? freeing up his wages and getting £20k would be a good bit of business IMO , not much use to us in the stands , surpised if Aberdeen offer the £20k though.
-
Whats to be upset about , if he's worth any more then there will be a queue behind them with bulging pockets .... wont there ?
-
Havers , ignoring that it's different games from the ones before and against better sides than when he played and therefor fantasy football, there is nothing factual at all about what you just said. We were beating United and Aberdeen without him and on he came , match turnaround. He didnt alter the Hibs result any when he came on. We drew at Parkhead without him so not as if he single handedly kept us unbeaten . In fact you could argue we look more dangerous without him (i would and dont actually think there is much of an arguement otherwise). Theres no way O'brien wouldve stuck the goal in that Murphy did at Hamilton for a start. Im not blaming him for the games above going tits up when he came on BTW. I am pointing out that folk saying he's won us loads of points are talking out somewhere other than their mouths. We've lost no attacking threat at all without him in the team IMO and im pretty sure that the stats and facts back that up on one side of the arguement - versus folk saying he's won us loads of points in games but they cant remember which ones on the other .
-
The yellow card should hinder the defender but the truth is supposing we blindfolded the full back and made him hop on one leg Obrien still wouldnt attempt to go past him and head for goal , he'd be hiding in the corner laying it back or playing for fouls - shouting "i can play the guitar." Its an arguement that will go in circles, the facts and stats are there for all to see though IMO , and ive yet to see anyone produce much hard evidence of him being threatening to the opposition defence , a decent half at home to Killie excepted. Failing to get past Whittaker or do anything productive with the ball within 25 yards of the Rangers goal yet still be hailed a potent attacking force that day sums it up for me
-
Maybe we could sign Rob Walters to replace him then eh ? Sums it up for me , good guy , tries hard , can play a guitar - surprised all the above wasnt enough to see him win the MOTM award for Saturday on here. Goals , assists , general effectiveness in the job he is supposed to be doing , er um , well
-
The joys of watching the Newarthill boys being huckled off the park after the equaliser , im pretty sure they caught sight of the second before they disappeared into the cells
-
We are playing better teams to be fair but i disagree anyway , first half against Aberdeen for example i thought we were as good as we had been this season. I challenge someone to tell me what we'll miss (have been missing) with O'Brien out the team
-
If O'brien was going to score us even half the goals or do half as much good attacking work as McDonald was giving us then get him in the team. That after 2 years a good game is hitting a shot within a foot past the post or winning a foul says it all. His goal scoring and assist records are there for all to see (entire career if you need further convincing) That stands up against these mythical matches where he's been terrorising opposition defences as far as im concerned. Has be been missed ? Has he what , Murphy gives us more going forwards. Lets see where he ends up , more fool Aberdeen if they take him on and i'll be surprised if they do.

The last 3 times the rotten mob have been here they have been allowed to decorate along the front of the top tier of the South stand with what looks like wooden and metal religious style crosses. Mustve been divine intervention that saw them stand all game with no harrassment. Meanwhile the Gannon flag is confiscated and you arent allowed to take in a bottle of juice for your kids in other stands. Good to see Motherwell are willing to accomodate fans attempts at atmosphere in one section of the ground.
-
I'd have you up front before O'brien Jphnstone , his runs into the box winning us a good few points ? Do you believe that the moon is made of cheese as well ? Onthefringes , i'll warn you now dont offer me tickets tomorrow morning !
-
What you on about ? What's next ? Young laddies with Arsenal tops getting arse and necked from the East Stand because of the offensive badge ?
-
Well whoever has had their flag stolen should ask Jim Gannon if thats the case. I suspect he'd prefer the colour and noise from the support rather than the sit down shut up and f off again until you pay in next week that is trying to be imposed. Rocky , who told you it could lead to charges and a ban ?
-
Who told you that ? Theres no way you could be charged with anything - they do know it isnt a real gun ?? Surely they wouldnt dare ban you for it either ?? Either way if theyve fucked it in the bin add a zero on to what it cost and send them an invoice.
