Somewhere in Netherton used to have a contract to make the repli-kits for Liverpool and the likes , was that Daiwa sports ? Im with you , worth looking into. Though theres a chance we were getting Canterbury . Xara , Bukta etc cheaper than Daiwa could do if they were being made in India/China or similar.

It isnt , look back through the thread , not sure about RJ but Solskjaer's name was on an agents list that was faxed through - a large agents list that half the professional clubs in Britain mightve recieved. He was never anywhere near Fir Park . Hypia and the likes may be true , we went through a fair amount of trailists back then. Peggy Arphexad , Marvin Andrews spring to mind.

Rubbish edit : and thats before ive read the rest of it which doesnt sound much better at first glance !
-
Dont think Airdrie will see a penny of our money. It isnt their stadium , they dont even have offices in there now as they couldnt afford them , they are only in there now on matchdays.
-
Wasnt Solskjaer just one name among about 1000 on a list of available players faxed by agents to us and a (large) number of other clubs and thats as far as it went ? Im pretty sure McLeish had ever heard of him nevermind scouted him , chased him or had him put up at the Moorings while he trained and we had a look at him as ive read on here before
-
Because it clashes with The Open ?
-
Seen others mention this. I dont buy the tops and im genuinely intrested. How does that work ? How do Sellik manage with their hoops ? Is it to do with making the strips washable or not in their case ?

Sorry Guys....unhappy Topic But Need Some Help!
ML1 replied to walking down the Fir Park's topic in Club Chat
Spot on , i see that old boy in all weathers after the games on Knowetop Avenue , obviously seldom misses a game if ever. With the amount of shite he mustve watched over the years he is more entitled than most to enjoy the rare euro jaunts when they appear. Sad day when a guy that age isnt safe in amongst his own. Hope he's ok and it hasnt put him off attending. -
Bottom line is he most definately does want to leave What's your definition of playing well ? Knocking the ball about 40 yards from goal from side to side against a side making no effort to come out any further than 30 yards from goal when we had the ball ? Inability to concentrate/defend at a set piece ? Complete failure to break down what was in effect a glorified amatuer side ? Their keeper making one save (from a kid that came on and showed McGarry and O'brien how to be direct and threatening against dross)
-
Didnt take long , O'Brien and McGarry. If they didnt even take the field some folk would vote them and most of the time if they never took the field they would be more worthy - tonight being a prime example. Playing against utter shite and still neither could say they had the upper hand on their opponent. Shouldnt be near the SPL and shouldnt be near MFC .
-
I think not. Maybe Jim Gannon is not to blame BUT If Jamie Murphy is the great white hope , Jim O'brien is half the quality some folk on here think he is and Keith Lasley is the player those who were up in arms at Falkirk think he is the players have to look at themselves for not being able to play their way through that side and in actual fact they looked unable to run past them. Number 4 included. Good enough from the players ? They have a chance to redeem themselves next week. Scoring goals would be a worry though
-
But will still be lauded as "quality" players on here . One of them throwing a "fuck off" to the crowd was nice , i think he really does believe the pish that his been written about him on here We didnt deserve to lose IMO , they are a bad lot and got lucky with their one scrambled chance. We'll have to be much better down there but its well do-able. Good thing as others have said is Gannon has seen what he has (and hasnt) to work with and he still has 4 weeks before the season starts. Slane for example showed more threat within ten minutes than our alleged wing wizards had managed between them in the entire game , dont be shy with that axe Jim.
-
Dont get him started , he never shut up for weeks about the policeman confiscating his feather.
-
You must be psychic , ive never been pot holing in cornwall or train spotting in milton keynes either Ive never lived
-
Aye , very homoerotic ! They'd be quicker sending a punch by 2nd class recorded than throwing one
-
No idea what that is mate as i dont go in for those kinds of shenanigans , im not even curious to tell you the truth. Something that goes on in the clubhouse i assume ? I'm certainly not terrified of going down there as there may be a gang of lard assed egg chasers who's idea of fun is putting their ties around their heads in a granny knot , slapping each others thighs as they sing rude songs while generally being "barmy", lighting each others farts in between drinking games - and to top it all these ones will be Welsh !

From FirParkCorner. Sounds to me like they want money up front from us to cover the size of support they dont believe we'll take http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=3...;mid=2125584093

They have spent what one assumes is a few quid on getting their ground UEFA compliant and played their Champs League qualifier there last season. If the figures of £20k are correct giving up their own home to go play a prestigious euro tie elsewhere would have to be worth their while. So say 1000 Motherwell fans to break even. With another 500 on top of that to make profit - worth it for them ? Im as big a Motherwell fan as you i can assure you and would prefer to play at the rugby stadium where id be garaunteed a ticket - to be accusing them of being spoilt weans due to the luck of the draw on this thread is a bit of pot and kettle. If i get a Motherwell ticket good , if i dont ill try for one of theirs , over the wall , bribing a turnstyle man or whatever , failing that ill have a good day and night in the pub with the boys. Cast your mind back to Nancy , Inverurie , Stranraer this - anytime tickets have been tight , our fans are spoiled on the ticket front and a lot act like weans on the rare occasion when they cant get a ticket. We near filled Fir Park for Nancy with them bringing about 30 fans, how many home fans would we get for a Premiership side in Europe. Both those sides i imagine have around 20,000 season ticket holders , with segregation we'd give them what ? We'd rightly tell them to F off if they wanted our tickets or the game moved so more of them could get in
-
Nevermind the rugby players , i heard Llanelli is where the biggest Pot Noodle mine is too. Tough boys PS Rugby players are poofs , they only play so they can put their hands and heads between each others legs - FACT.
-
It would be if we gave them less tickets than they wanted Llanelli think their place is big enough to cope with us Folk wont travel across the dual carriageway to Hamilton then start stamping their feet when they cant get a ticket for South Wales
-
Erm , havent they accepted it and made their decision - to play it at their own home ? Motherwell fans are spoiled, we get a ticket for most games easily enough even cup finals but when it comes to Stranraer , Inverurie and wherever else and there's a scramble folk get their Billy Bigtime heads on and start whinging. If we drew Villa or Everton in this tournament would we move it to Hampden just to please them and their large following.
-
Leitch was in the papers saying as much , then again he said he was taking pre season as well. Those three are freebies that can go wherever they want , they arent Motherwell players. Clarkson has been widely reported. If any manager coming in wants money he's going to have to sell someone. Who else could we sell ? My favourite winger Jim O'Brien !? Quinn has been offered double the wages at Hearts and a fair whack more than that if he moves abroad (i just cant bring myself to say where as it sounds ludicrous to me and i know its true) dont know about Cardiff but he's 99.9% certainly off
-
You've talked me around London Irish. Considering he was unemployed when we took him on, the fact that he decided not to leave after a year (while at Stansted about to board a plane for further talks with Hearts) - only staying due to increased , possibly , double wages is to be applauded. In the year since he applied for 3 other jobs Im starting the collection for a statue. He gets genuine thanks for that first season though , possibly never to be repeated.
-
He was out a job we took him on. He had a foot on the plane last summer but decided to stay after renegotiating his contract. A handsome rise , especially as he was aware of the financial state of the club. He tried for the Scotland job. He applied for the Celtic job and then sent a text to Willie Miller telling him he wanted the Aberdeen job. All in the two years he was here. Now we'll ignore his tendency to remark more on Celtic than his employers when in the media or the squad that he has left behind and just concentrate on the above. Do you believe London Irish that you Mark McGhee showed the club maximum commitment and respect in the short time he was here ? PS He was also still under contract when he decided him and Leech were leaving at the end of the season.
-
Its a dream because he said he wants to manage at the clubs he played for. Guess what club he mentioned before Aberdeen's though (no prizes !!)
