Thanks to Iona and Amber for answering my questions. Much appreciated. Sally too. The sound was a bit poor but not their fault - was on my phone and would probably have been better from my laptop.

Tony Watt? According to someone on pie and bov who said they had "sources"
-
I completely agree. And you know when someone has an injury such as a leg break and ACL tear I don't think that's someone being injury prone. It's a freak injury. I've seen people online slag off the manager for injuries that happened on the pitch. Also agree that Nicolson is bad luck. He played 16 games since he was signed. I hope he recovers and kicks on. His name is Callachan. Other folk have been spelling it wrongly 😏
-
I'll respond to you another time if that's ok. I'm not dismissing your views.
-
Great post.
-
You can't predict injury though can you. And you know some of the previous injuries to Callachan were what you would call freak injuries - leg break. Acl. I personally take my hat off to anyone who plays again after an injury like that. I think there's a difference between being injury prone and having injuries that have happened out of nowhere. Like Slattery did his ACL, so should future clubs be put off by that? I hope everyone who is currently injured recovers and kicks on and that's all you really can hope for. I also think it's been made worse by the fact we lost Bair - and aren't scoring. Spittal too has been a big loss
-
Yes there is. I'm watching on zoom. I got the email yesterday
-
They put out two videos I believe - I think two candidates were added slightly later on - the other video is on the Well Society's twitter page. She was definitely on the list of candidates you can vote for.
-
Perhaps the loss of Spittal is also why the midfield is struggling just now - that and Slattery.
-
There was one female - think a couple of people were added in a bit later.
-
Im not trying to dress anything up. Some people are saying that it's easy to get players in - that's the post I was responding to. As for Callachan - surely once he's fit people can make a decision on him. He's only signed for one season with the option of another.
-
You think it's as easy as just picking up the phone to get new signings in particularly when we are competing against other clubs who can offer better terms.
-
He stopped playing in April in Australia I believe and then he was called up for the national team. He also said in interviews that he was keeping his own fitness up and I believe he took part in the game against Everton. He's not exactly had no minutes coming into this game and part of the reason Kettlewell put him on was surely because of injury to other players - what is the manager supposed to do with so many other players out Other players we have just now have had muscle injuries with a full pre season behind them Also. Do we think the player was forced to play against his will. I highly doubt it
-
No need to talk to people like this.
-
So who do we sign
-
Slattery caught his studs in the turf. A freak injury and nothing that the club or Kettlewell can be blamed for
-
I agree with you and I've also seen posts on social media blaming Kettlewell for Blaney, Slattery and Patons injuries. Two happened on the field of play and I believe Slattery did his ACL by catching his studs in the grass. A freak injury
-
Yes this. This must be part of the reason. No cash makes it a lot easier for staff and that must be part of the reason that they've stopped the cash gate.
-
I also think part of the reason we don't have cash gates is to make life easier for staff. I've worked turnstiles at Fir Park and at Accies and having no cash gate makes life a lot easier for staff and theres less room for error when no one is handling cash. I'd be surprised if that wasn't a factor in the decision too
-
I actually support us having a cash gate. I was only trying to say that the spl had rules on under 12s not going into games alone and that's why the OP might have had problems
-
Indeed 🤣🤣🤣
-
You aren't wrong but there must be reasons for that - why people aren't engaging - because when we get to a semi final or a final everyone comes out in their numbers (typed that and just saw you said the same).- we pay over the odds to watch a game. If it's a choice between paying 24 quid or watching it on tv of in the pub then some folk will take the cheaper option
-
I honestly do hope that the well society do get attendances up. I had a very pleasant conversation with Sean about it. Hopefully their plans will see more people renew and new people going to Fir Park
-
It's not easy is it. We sold Bair and he's a big miss. And the injuries as well - a concern. I'm happy for Aston but I think it's too soon to judge whether he's better than Kelly was.
-
You're completely right on that one - I've been going to games for over 35 years and the numbers we have right now have little to do with who is manager
