  1. Im not diminishing your point of view but - this is the same Casey that some fans have said should be punted after this season - and some fans have had nothing good to say about Balmer either. I've seen people say he's good at long throws and nothing else Im a big Casey fan for the most point but some people haven't been - he's been shaky in defence more than once this season This is also the same Casey who signed very late for us the second time around because he was clearly looking at other options.
  2. You make very good points. I think we miss Spittal a lot. I think he was very underrated and it's not always easy just to find a like for like player. I know some people don't rate Slattery but I think Spittal and Slattery had a very good partnership - also agree that we can't build the midfield around Miller no matter how good he is
  3. That was really interesting last week. Some very good chat with David - I'm looking forward to it
  4. I have family who are Motherwell fans. One isn't particularly a Kettlewell fan but isn't banging the drum for him to go. We had a chat today and he said the next few games will be important - of course they will. Like someone said the other week on here - maybe fans who post online on forums are more invested than those who don't post. It's changed times really - back in the day when I was supporting Motherwell there was no Internet. You watched the game and you went home - maybe fans made their points in different ways I think it's more short term now all over the piece - like there were a lot of calls for Goodwin to get out of Dundee Utd but they are doing well now - so obviously it's very results driven (no shit sherlock) Potentially managers now have about two or three years to solidify their clubs position and if they aren't cutting it then that's that
  5. The thing is though - we are small in numbers here - and what people post might be representative of the wider fan base - but it might not. I get that the team were booed at the last two home games and I also get that it's a very tight league - but we aren't the only team on a poor run right now. Aberdeen are. St Mirren are. Killie are. I also completely get every single person's reservations about him - even if my views don't particularly align with theirs. If we do sack him now another manager is going to have to get results from the same group of players -and that obviously can happen as we saw when he took over from Hammell The next few games will obviously dictate what happens off the park
  6. I think I'll do the same. Apparently Slattery and Moses were unwell yesterday not injured.
  7. Thanks for your response. I appreciate it
  8. I've never suggested for one minute that everyone is getting at me. If I really felt like that I wouldn't be on here at all.
  9. Listen - I want to apologise for the way I reacted to your post. I'll also say that I will be sorry to see him go but the club has to come first - however I don't think he'll be sacked any time soon - perhaps if we lose the Ross County game he might get to the point where he feels he has to walk. Or the decision might be taken out of his hands. Things might change if we get a result at Ross County - it only takes a win or two to change things around. I don't have all the answers. There are several teams on a poor run just now. St Mirren. Killie. Aberdeen. We aren't the only team in this position - and sometimes when you need a result - you won't get one. Of course there are people who think he should have been sacked last year but he wasn't - and ultimately the decision will be down to the board or Kettlewell or both. There have been other posters on here who have said that as long as he keeps us clear of relegation his job will be safe -but like Alexander - if he does lose the fans then it won't be.
  10. Thank you. I agree with you. I just feel sad. I hoped it would turn out better with Kettlewell. But if his time is up it's up.
  11. I don't for the most part. And I certainly don't have an issue with other folks opinions Im probably just too soft hearted. I get upset when any manager goes - but that's a me thing. Can't change myself
  12. You haven't. Other people have. There's been a few digs at me over the last couple of days - and it's really obvious to me that you can't say anything positive about Kettlewell without being called out. Im not the only person who has said positive stuff about him - but I feel it's only me that's being asked to justify their position. I feel out of place on this thread - particularly after a couple of comments that were aimed at me today and last night - and I'm going to step out. I feel like I'm constantly justifying myself - and it's too much energy There's no worries. Take care I will be sorry to see Stuart go but I think the writing is on the wall -and that's that.
  13. I don't feel comfortable on this thread right now. I'll leave it there. I think it's only for people who have had enough of Kettlewell - and that's ok.
  14. I have a season ticket. I've been going to games regularly since 1987 I never said anything about our style of play.
  15. Im not answering that. I've had a few digs aimed at me over the last 24 hours and it's been made very clear that my opinions on this subject aren't welcome.
  16. I went to my first game in 1979. Me too. Yeah it's been awful but when Stuart goes then hopefully the next manager will rejuvenate the side. That's what people are hoping for obviously
  17. Listen. I completely understand why you are unhappy.
  18. Ok. Let's not cut him some slack - let's move him on after one game.
  19. Well he does when people are saying he's the only person responsible for past issues in the dressing room
  20. It was Balcombes first game. Surely we can cut him some slack
