  1. You're right - it's Feely that's the accountant.
  2. Do you think the vote will happen now? Given that EB has been posting on P and B and there are posters over there talking about the deal being dead and a new one being worked on. (I get that it's just posts on a forum but theres been a lot of dialogue over the last few days). I found it interesting that Dickie is a chartered accountant with decades of experience. Im not suggesting that he voted one way or another because of his background - but there clearly are people on the well society board with a lot of business experience (not just him).
  3. We don't know the wishes of the members yet obviously as the vote on this proposal is still to take place. The vote seems to have been whether the MFC Board wanted to accept this offer - not what WS members do or don't want. Particularly as I think WS members hadnt seen the full proposal before the Board voted. Potentially it would have made more sense to have the MFC board vote to accept or reject after fans had voted - but assume there must be legal reasons as to why that didn't happen.
  4. It looks like the people who are Co chairs of the well society board get the positions on the MFC board. But - there's nothing online that I can see that explains that either - if that is the case. All it says online is that they are both MFC directors and Co chairs of the well society board. What was confusing me is that both Feely and Dickie are MFC directors - which did make me think they must have been voting in their capacity as MFC board members - but it looks not. In regards to Dickie. He's been involved with the Well Society since 2016 and Feely has been involved a similar amount of time I believe.
  5. All I can see online is that Dickie has been on the board since 2016 and Co chair of the well society board since 2016 as well. And Tom Feely is also Co chair of the well society board. I was also wondering if Dickie was on the MFC board first or if he was on the MFC board because he was Co chair of the well society board.
  6. No Scotland no party 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
  7. Feely and Dickie are both listed on the MFC website as directors and I assume (and this is just an assumption) that they were MFC directors before they were voted in as well society board members. I don't know who on the well society apart from them if anyone has a seat on the club board (but I'm sure someone will know better than me).
  8. How were they there as representatives of the well society if they are both on the MFC board and the board of the society? They were surely voting as members of the MFC board and not in their capacity as well society board members. I agree that there are things that do need clarification but how do we know that they went into that vote to represent the position of the other members of the society board? They didn't because they voted in favour of the deal.
  9. Just bought my Livi ticket. Two quid concession. Just hope that I'll manage to get there (all hail the moonboot I'll hopefully have by then) 😉
  10. I think surely we need to remember that a very tiny proportion of the fanbase post on pie and bov and on here compared to the number who will have a vote. I saw someone on Facebook on Saturday on Motherwell fc page saying they just wanted the deal done. This is someone who probably has had zero interaction with EB. There's around 3700 people going to be voting or thereabouts? How many post on here or on pie and bov. 200? 300? I know a lot more people lurk but I've personally no idea how people will make their minds up. I assume some people will say no on the advice of the society.
  11. I think it's him. He seems to run his own twitter as well.
  12. I would think yes and yes its well society members who will be voting - shareholders too I think. As for the rest of the questions I have no idea.
  13. The reason I mentioned other clubs was that he referred to it in his interview with the BBC. I'm not dismissing your views - but we've been fan owned for 8 years now. It's not like the Well Society has just come into operation and someone is trying to take our club over. There are also people who have been on the board for more than one stint now.
  14. I personally don't think EB needs Motherwell fc to raise his wealth. He's a millionaire - if this deal doesn't go through he can easily try and invest in another club.
  15. I agree. Particularly the society as they've advised fans not to accept the deal.
  16. The thing is though when the vote is clearly split - surely you would think there would be a mechanism in place to deal with that. 6 members want the deal and 3 don't so they vote the way the majority want for example. You wonder why that wasn't put in place. What to do in the event of split views on Society board?
  17. Oh come ON, you surely knew that was the cunning plan all along - EB doing live webcams to the sounds of up the well. Takeover was just a smokescreen.
  18. I don't think we will find out unless they choose to speak publicly about the reasons why.
  19. We pay money into the society - we should have been told why the board weren't actively involved in discussions. Whether that was for legal reasons or issues between the society and the MFC board. Members are being asked to make a big decision. There's been disconnect between the support and the board for some time now and all of this has just exposed it. This has just turned into a shit show and it should have been positive for the club and it's support.
  20. I completely agree. He also only went on there because he was getting name called by some fans. The radio silence from other parties is embarrassing.
  21. I think EB is going to be able to buy EB for a fiver by the end of the day. I might put in a counter bid if that's the case - just off to "tweet" my lawyers. (Actually I'll probably spend it on wine).
  22. Who knows. Id like to think fans will keep it civil because some of the dialogue I've seen aimed at him on twitter in particular has been pretty poor.
  23. EB said the other day that there had been dialogue with well society board members. He referred to Sean, Jason and Derek and said that he was aware that they weren't in favour of the offer but that it hadn't been communicated in as strong terms as in the well society statement. I personally think the folk who can answer the questions on the voting issue are the Well Society board. Right now there's a lot of speculation as there's always going to be. I personally don't think the issue is that it's a poor offer that fans don't want. If members don't want it they can reject it. The issue is that the board have decided to look for external investment - and the Well Society are opposed to this - at least in its present form where we would see the society lose majority control. There's obviously a conflict between the board and the society - as a lot of people are aware. If the offer had been tossed out before fans got to vote then some fans wouldn't have been happy with that. I suppose some people will be concerned that the bid might be accepted but that was always going to be a possibility given the way the vote went earlier in the year. I don't have sources like some fans - so I don't know anything about what's going on in the club - and I'm fine with that.
