Yes this. This must be part of the reason. No cash makes it a lot easier for staff and that must be part of the reason that they've stopped the cash gate.

I also think part of the reason we don't have cash gates is to make life easier for staff. I've worked turnstiles at Fir Park and at Accies and having no cash gate makes life a lot easier for staff and theres less room for error when no one is handling cash. I'd be surprised if that wasn't a factor in the decision too

I actually support us having a cash gate. I was only trying to say that the spl had rules on under 12s not going into games alone and that's why the OP might have had problems

You aren't wrong but there must be reasons for that - why people aren't engaging - because when we get to a semi final or a final everyone comes out in their numbers (typed that and just saw you said the same).- we pay over the odds to watch a game. If it's a choice between paying 24 quid or watching it on tv of in the pub then some folk will take the cheaper option

It's not easy is it. We sold Bair and he's a big miss. And the injuries as well - a concern. I'm happy for Aston but I think it's too soon to judge whether he's better than Kelly was.

I completely agree with you. And thankfully the club won't listen to people on here or elsewhere on social media calling for his head. I personally think some fans are high on the smell of their own farts and think because they offer PhD level critical analysis on Motherwell fc on forums and twitter on a regular basis they seem to think they are qualified to suggest when Kettlewell should go - like every week since he was appointed They actually think their posts are going to see the manager off (I don't think so). I don't think for one nano second that any manager should walk because of social media noise I don't think Kettlewell is a poor manager - I think he's got a section of fans where no matter what he does - it will never be good enough.

I assume the reason for that is that kids under 12 can't go into games on their own which is apparently an SPL ruling. I agree that there should be a pay at the gate but many clubs don't have - not just us.

They've said they will but I've said this before. A lot of people can't afford to go. If it comes to people being skint and paying 24 quid to see a football game or spending it elsewhere then then a lot of people will opt out.

I don't think it was - but we were never really in relegation trouble under Alexander - that's not a criticism of SK but it's a tight league and it's going to be tough again by the looks of it.

I've never harassed anyone on here. Most of the dms I've had with people have been very ordinary conversations and there have been times where I've sent people dms to say sorry when I thought i got it wrong. I've had mostly very ordinary chats with people - no more. Some of whom contacted me first. I don't have grudges against anyone on here - ludicrous - completely the other way round given some of the public posts I've had aimed at me and some of the dms I've been sent. There are also people on here who have sent me dms, out of the blue just to have a chat. I've had people crossing over from pie and bov to send me dm messages on here that were completely uncalled for. If people on here think my dms have been uncalled for - they can report them to mods. But there's nothing offensive in anything I've sent to anyone in dm - and I've not spoken to anyone privately for months. (and I wont again). I dont have a grudge against anyone on here. I have absolutely no reason to have a grudge against a single poster on here -you included and I'll be putting you back on ignore. I've had horrible dms from people on pie and bov who don't post on here but crossed over to send them I had someone MAKE an account on pie and bov to post abuse at me. And yeah - we can all get it wrong on here and say things we shouldn't say but if I do that - I'll own it. Ps. I know what online and offline harassment is. I've lived it to the point my entire life was almost wrecked by it. If your definition of harassment is someone sending someone an unsolicited message on steelmenonline I can assure you - you're really lucky. I didn't think I needed to run it by you or steelboy if I wanted to send a dm to someone - and what I've said on here to people in dm is not his business and it's not yours either. I'll definitely ignore you going forward. BTW. I don't think you needed to get quite so personal in your response but you chose to - and that's your choice.

Thankfully the club won't listen to people on fans forums when it comes to making a decision. Yes it's going to be a make or break season but some people just want him out. That's clear. Nothing he ever does will be good enough. And it is tedious when people are constantly going in on Kettlewell and the players week in week out to be made to feel that they are in the wrong if they don't back him. He's crap and all our players are crap. Who wants to listen to that week in week out every week for a season. I don't.

I had someone on here refer to me as corrosive because they believed the crap about me being an Erik Barmack plant. I lost a family member to suicide 6 months before Motherwell won the cup in 1991. It was one of the very few normal moments in what was a completely horrendous year and beyond. But apparently I don't care about Motherwell. And that is why the comments that someone on here made upset me so much. I'd be happy to be called a troll or a pant wetter right now tbh... I agree with you. I don't always on here - far from it but I think this is spot on. We signed three players last year on loan in August and at the beginning of September. So seriously. I see no reason to be pressing the panic button right now
