  1. I agree with you that we have a squad as good as any other in the league but we've also been battered by injuries. It can't help when you can't play a consistent team - I also get that we aren't the only club in this position but - someone can correct me if I'm wrong - we've probably played quite defensively for some time now, although looking at our placing in the table last year we scored a decent amount of goals and let in almost as many. I think part of the issue is that we didn't replace Spittal effectively although I completely get that you aren't just going to get a like for like player. Bair moved on and we don't yet have a consistent goal scorer. We've had important players out too as I'm sure you don't need me to tell you. Miller. McGinn. Slattery. Gordon. Now Ox. As a self confessed "happy clapper" of course I want to see my team do well - I personally think we should be challenging for top 6 - but I'll stand by saying I think survival is the most important thing I don't want to see us in free fall either - but hopefully if we get a couple of good signings in the transfer window it might stop the decline. It doesn't help that we are competing in a market with teams who can offer better terms
  2. Yes. Welcome back the very lovely Callum Slattery!!!
  3. We do need a cash injection. That's clear.
  4. I personally don't think this is all on Kettlewell - do you think he doesn't want us to win games?
  5. Do you honestly think if Seddon was in a position where he might pass the ball to someone who might see a scoring opportunity that he's going to stop and go - hold on I can't do that because my manager told me not to. I saw someone on Facebook at the weekend saying that Kettlewell was screaming at his players to play the ball forward
  6. Just introductory (I'm joking). Great post. I do understand people's frustrations but I think our management and players get too much undue criticism at times.
  7. I think some people (I'm talking about social media in general) - not the person I was responding to haven't got over the fact that he wasn't sacked after the 15 game winless run. (They are entitled to that viewpoint). Folk are also completely entitled to have a view on anything to do with the manager and the way we play - but it wouldn't matter what he does for some fans - they don't like him, rate him and want him out. I think it's quite astonishing that he's being referred to as semi competent given that we are 5th in the league - and given the injuries we've had to contend with lately. St Mirren fans probably aren't very happy right now - and I don't blame them but I don't think they are shouting for Robbo to go We also don't have the budget of some of the clubs who are below us in the table just now.
  8. I think it should be pretty obvious why I go to games - because I support Motherwell.
  9. I'm personally happy with the points. And I said the same under other managers. Of course I would like to see us play better football - but survival is the main thing as far as I'm concerned.
  10. I don't agree re Kettlewell but that's fine. I think stick is ok to a point - but it went over the score with Alexander in my view. Someone grabbing the mic when he was being interviewed to give him abuse. No need
  11. Of course you are entitled to your opinion. I was also delighted to see Slattery back and scoring. I just think it's a bit knee jerk the Kettlewell out opinion - and I'm personally sick of it - not aiming that at you btw. All over facebook. Some folk on here. Let's get rid of him then and see who else could do a better job. Robbo got the same treatment towards the end Alexander got it too. No one is good enough for the well in some peoples eyes
  12. Im sorry but this is absurd. We can't afford to be paying yet another manager off. He's kept us in the spl since he was appointed and we are top six but he's to go. Thankfully you won't be making that decision
  13. No need for that. It's clear you don't like Kettlewell and that's fine but we are surely all entitled to our opinions
  14. Im not so sure. We got through the 15 game winless run last season. The pressure will mount on social media - don't think from the club.
  15. Casey is on the bench. Gordon took a nasty knock on Wednesday as folk know I'm sure - not surprising he's not involved.
  16. I personally don't compare anything to the EPL. I have no interest in it whatsoever. I don't have a TV though which might help.
  17. We don't play dross every week. We are in a very decent league position and we've been very unlucky with injuries over the last 18 months or so. The negativity on here is astonishing but not surprising
  18. That makes no sense to me sorry. You don't monitor players
  19. 2 nil up and all folk can do is moan
  20. What do you mean monitored?
  21. I think Stuart has every right to say his piece without being marked for it. Tony Watt said today that several decisions have gone against us. The standard of refereeing in Scotland is terrible and VAR is making it worse. If we have to stay silent as not to enrage the officials - something is very wrong
  22. I completely agree. I don't care how many times he gets sent to the stand. Id rather have a manager who cares
  23. Casey has been a stalwart as far as I'm concerned. And I believe Slattery has another year option on his contract. Baffles me why anyone would want to let Casey go.
  24. Well done Motherwell. That was nerve wracking
  25. We didn't win when we played cup finals when Stephen Robinson was in charge. That's not me slating him - it was fabulous that he got us there but even if Kettlewell got it wrong yesterday it's completely correct that it's hard to compete against Celtic and Rangers - even if it's an off form Rangers. I've seen posts tonight on Facebook suggesting that Kettlewell should get the sack - ridiculous Im also totally gutted at the result by the way. Devastated isn't the word.
