  1. The reason I mentioned other clubs was that he referred to it in his interview with the BBC. I'm not dismissing your views - but we've been fan owned for 8 years now. It's not like the Well Society has just come into operation and someone is trying to take our club over. There are also people who have been on the board for more than one stint now.
  2. I personally don't think EB needs Motherwell fc to raise his wealth. He's a millionaire - if this deal doesn't go through he can easily try and invest in another club.
  3. I agree. Particularly the society as they've advised fans not to accept the deal.
  4. The thing is though when the vote is clearly split - surely you would think there would be a mechanism in place to deal with that. 6 members want the deal and 3 don't so they vote the way the majority want for example. You wonder why that wasn't put in place. What to do in the event of split views on Society board?
  5. Oh come ON, you surely knew that was the cunning plan all along - EB doing live webcams to the sounds of up the well. Takeover was just a smokescreen.
  6. I don't think we will find out unless they choose to speak publicly about the reasons why.
  7. We pay money into the society - we should have been told why the board weren't actively involved in discussions. Whether that was for legal reasons or issues between the society and the MFC board. Members are being asked to make a big decision. There's been disconnect between the support and the board for some time now and all of this has just exposed it. This has just turned into a shit show and it should have been positive for the club and it's support.
  8. I completely agree. He also only went on there because he was getting name called by some fans. The radio silence from other parties is embarrassing.
  9. I think EB is going to be able to buy EB for a fiver by the end of the day. I might put in a counter bid if that's the case - just off to "tweet" my lawyers. (Actually I'll probably spend it on wine).
  10. Who knows. Id like to think fans will keep it civil because some of the dialogue I've seen aimed at him on twitter in particular has been pretty poor.
  11. EB said the other day that there had been dialogue with well society board members. He referred to Sean, Jason and Derek and said that he was aware that they weren't in favour of the offer but that it hadn't been communicated in as strong terms as in the well society statement. I personally think the folk who can answer the questions on the voting issue are the Well Society board. Right now there's a lot of speculation as there's always going to be. I personally don't think the issue is that it's a poor offer that fans don't want. If members don't want it they can reject it. The issue is that the board have decided to look for external investment - and the Well Society are opposed to this - at least in its present form where we would see the society lose majority control. There's obviously a conflict between the board and the society - as a lot of people are aware. If the offer had been tossed out before fans got to vote then some fans wouldn't have been happy with that. I suppose some people will be concerned that the bid might be accepted but that was always going to be a possibility given the way the vote went earlier in the year. I don't have sources like some fans - so I don't know anything about what's going on in the club - and I'm fine with that.
  12. Exactly what I was going to post earlier. Anyone can buy a blue tick
  13. Clearly less than ideal and I don't envy the well society in any of this.
  14. Surely they had that vote in their capacity as Motherwell fc board members and not as well society board members? The well society also made it clear that they wouldn't be taking part in negotiations and would put a statement out when the vote was over which they have done. So why would they want or need representation on the vote? They can't say they are stepping out until the vote is over and want input at the same time. Clearly theres a conflict and to be fair it's one few people could have seen in advance because no one knew when they were elected to the well society board that there would be this offer of outside investment
  15. I'd never claim to be funny but I think the combined efforts of others could add at least a million onto the proposed valuation.
  16. Around 3000 I believe. Possibly slightly more - could be 3800 or so. Sure someone posted the figure a few months back Just googled and it was 3500 at the end of 2022
  17. The well society said they weren't taking part in the negotiations. So I assume any vote wouldn't have been representing the well society position as they indicated a couple of months ago that they were not going to be part of the negotiations.. I assume then that the people who voted did so in their remit as board members and then felt they had to step down as there was a clear conflict of interests between that position and their position on the well society board. Clearly a lot of questions that need answering.
  18. You never said he might be Captain 🙄
  19. That post wasn't aimed at you I don't think.
  20. Ah ok. Didn't realise it was an Accies fan that posted
  21. The first he's shite post has just gone up on pie and bov 🤣🤣
  22. Joke went right over my head clearly 😬
  23. Another new face in. Tom Sparrow.
  24. I would advise against it 🤣 Yeah. There's lots of avenues open which isn't necessarily a bad thing. On re reading the well society statement it looks like their plans will be made available at the beginning of July.
