I agree but I'd say it the other way round. I want to keep him.

As good as Theo has been for us there is no way on this planet we are going to get 3 million quid for him. He's scored 15 goals. When was the last time we got anywhere near that for a striker? I think anything less than a million is derisory but no way are we going to get 3 for him. If he's worth 3 million Miller is worth 10 million. And as far as I'm concerned Motherwell always sell players on for far less than they are worth. Because we have to. Because we have to sell our best assets. Not in a million years will we be selling Bair to anyone for 3 million pounds. One season and 15 goals. No way. Never. He's good but he's not worth that. And no one is going to offer us 3 million for him

Apparently we are signing someone tomorrow. I get your point about Wilkinson. Just didn't immediately think of that aspect when I saw the socials.
-
I get that, I only get to Fir Park because I get a discounted ticket or I wouldn't be there at all. There is the option to pay season tickets up over a six month period as well and folk can do that if they buy a concession ticket and there's no extra charge for doing so. And maybe that's something the club need to publicise a bit more. Also get that some people want to pick and choose the matches they attend. I do understand the point you are making. I just don't see it changing. The club obviously took the decision to get rid of the cash gate and I don't see them bringing it back.

He signed last July. I don't see the issue if they are doing a recap.
-
I get the point you are making but it's not just Motherwell who have transferred everything over to buying online. We were probably one of the last clubs to do that. A senior season ticket is 235 quid I believe. And surely that would be easier to buy in one transaction than struggle to buy tickets every week. There is obviously an argument for a cash gate but I don't see that changing.
-
Don't see that happening given they got rid of the cash turnstiles and everything is online now.
-
As if they are going to offer us that for Bair. No way. They'll offer us peanuts. But hopefully we won't sell him for that

To be fair I think it's pretty standard to have questions on religion (and gender) in most surveys. I've been asked about religion on more than one survey I've done this year. And with respect I don't think asking questions about religion means that Motherwell fc won't be non denominational. I'm not religious in any way shape or form but I think it's normal to be asked if you identify as being religious and if so what religion on surveys. Or none. They are clearly just trying to find out statistics and a breakdown of religion ethnicity and gender and I think that's pretty standard. They could have included a British option but clearly that was missed. An oversight I would think. I identify as Scottish but get that other people would prefer to tick the British option

Do you think our players could afford a Hup Lee buffet on the meagre wages we pay them 🤣
-
Clearly rates him then
-
Ok. No idea what anyone is potentially offering for Bair either - not really looked the last few days. (up to eyeballs in uni work and dealing with this broken leg). Id hope we would keep Bair but it's obviously down to what another club might offer for him.
-
Surely we would need to have money in the bank to be able to afford the fee without having to bank on a player being sold. Personally I think it would be ridiculous moving on either Miller or Bair to pay for a 100k transfer fee. Given how much of an asset Miller is in particular. It's all just speculation at the moment no matter what's being quoted on pie and bov

Build the statue 🤣. On a serious note that's over 3000 season tickets sold.

I've said more than once on here that I wouldn't have offered Mugabi terms. I have no issues with SOD and McGinn. Obviously it's a topic that's going to polarise opinion. Some folk don't want them. Others do and some want them retained as back up. The issue with going back to them later in the summer after other potential targets have been identified is surely that we risk them having moved on elsewhere. If some people think Kettlewell has made the wrong call, fair enough. Am sure as soon as the full team for next season is in place fans will be better placed to make the call as whether he called this one right or not.
-
Why would Kettlewell be under pressure and from where? This is what I struggle with to be honest. On the one hand we have fans who want top six and a good cup run every year (and that's fine) and others who are happy enough if we remain in the top flight. There were points last season where I thought we were in real trouble but things picked up. As far as I'm concerned it all comes down to money. If he had more cash at his disposal he would be able to afford better quality players, that's obvious but he doesn't. That's not me slating our players either. He can only do so much with the budget he has. He did the job he was asked to do two seasons in a row. There are fans who don't want outside investment and fans who would consider it. There are fans saying we don't need outside investment and at the same time unhappy with the players that Kettlewell is signing. I'm just not sure what it is they want him to do. And I think some fans across the board on social media have an issue with Kettlewell full stop. No matter what he does it wouldn't be good enough. As everyone knows we are a club with a small core support, fan owned and it's fair to say that Kettlewell won't have a large transfer budget at his disposal. I'd expect the team not to have many changes with a few signings added in and some loan deals. Particularly when we are competing with other clubs who can offer players more. Paying off two managers in two years hasn't helped either. We won't improve without investment - wherever that comes from. If Kettlewell did go next season the next manager would have exactly the same issues to deal with in my view.
-
Absolutely this! Why would you just get rid of three or four players without having anyone to replace them. Then he would be getting pelters for not having a full squad.
-
O'Donnell is not up to Spl standard? Just him? Not Casey Blaney McGinn? Who would you replace him with?
-
Think one of those penalties was very harsh from recollection. Ball hit off his arm as I recall.
-
Kelly has gone. Butcher has gone. Mugabi is still negotiating clearly and surely other players will come in. As far as I'm concerned the entire team was poor on that long winless run with the odd exception. I personally think SOD has been singled out a lot. I don't just mean on forums but at games. I think he gets a lot of stick and some other players when they aren't performing don't get the same treatment. I personally don't think these players are bad players - I don't think Kelly is a shit goalie either. I think that long run of games without a win affected the players a lot. Probably haven't explained what I mean as well as I could have there. But hopefully you get what I'm trying to say
-
Bair. Gent. Two players that surely show Kettlewell does know what he's doing. Biereth too. Brodie Spencer. There's been plenty of positives in my view. As for Ox. He's an unknown quantity surely and we don't know yet whether he'd going to be number one or two. I know some people don't rate SOD but others do and some fans do rate McGinn and Bevis. Opinions on players don't always align with what people post on here or other forums.
-
Someone on twitter is considering handing their seasons in for a refund because SOD has signed on again.
-
There aren't actually that many players who could re sign. Slattery. Connolly and Mugabi I think.
