I was crying when we were two nil up! 😂 That's just me. You know how it is ... The rollercoaster 😂
-
I'm just over the moon for once that I gave my season ticket away to my brother's pal and we won! (Still got a broken nose and two black eyes). My mum doesn't go to games these days apart from cup games but she phoned me to tell me it was four nil then I phoned her to tell her it was five nil. Good times. I actually started crying when i saw on twitter that we were two nil up. That's just me though

I agree but Kirk scored a lot of goals from the midfield back in the day. I think Kirk never got the credit he was due back in the day tbh Blair is just an excellent all round player. I hope we keep him
-
I very much hope he will be here
-
Maybe. But I still think he brings a lot to the midfield. For all his faults he plays for the jersey like Spitts

I didn't phrase my point in the best way to be fair. I wasn't trying to suggest we weren't struggling. By slump I meant if we went on a losing run. It's ok. There's absolutely no worries.
-
I think when slats is on his game hes excellent to be fair. I personally hope to see him in the claret and amber again
-
Thanks. Appreciate it

Strange. Because you referred to me as a Kettlewell apologist in another thread. I've got Stockholm syndrome apparently. I've asked the mods to delete my account. I'm a season ticket holder. I know exactly how many games we've won and lost this season. No one needs their nose rubbed in it just because they aren't calling for Kettlewell to be sacked
-
I'm not going to predict the score... Because I have it on very good authority that I'm a Kettlewell apologist. Good luck to the team tomorrow though
-
Im not a Kettlewell apologist just because I don't agree with you. People should be able to have different views on the manager without being referred to as apologists. If there's only room for one opinion on this or any other football forum then what is the point of having a platform where people should be able to express different viewpoints?
-
Yeah that is a sore one - but that's football. The fact that he didn't talk to the media after the cup defeat was a sign that it was all over. He's working at Celtic just now I believe.
-
Its not the fact you are posting guesswork or not - you are suggesting that Hammell wasn't well treated but you can't say exactly what because it's for him to say - that's completely fine but it explains nothing to anyone on here. I personally didn't think Hammell was the right person for the job from the outset. I thought he was too inexperienced at that level. It was very clear that something was wrong as time went on - you could see how stressed he was in post match interviews. And yes - we are struggling just now but as someone said above - we are five matches unbeaten. From my point of view when Hammell left we didn't look as if that bad spell was going to turn around. I think we'd have been relegated without Kettlewell last season. It's a result driven business as everyone knows - sure Kettlewell knows that too. And if we hit a slump again I'm sure Kettlewell knows his job will be at risk.

Some people on here have been quite open about the fact they want Kettlewell to go. And from recollection a lot of fans didn't want Hammell to go and were hugely supportive of his appointment. If he hadn't been a club legend I think he'd have parted ways with us sooner. I certainly don't recall fans calling for his head all over social media the way some people have been with Kettlewell. A lot of fans seemed genuinely sorry that the appointment didn't work out. You seem to be suggesting that he didn't get the support he needed in the August transfer window and that he played the team in a style that he wasn't comfortable with? Surely if you are the manager and you are on the kind of run we were on at that point - if you need to make changes on the pitch you have the authority to make those changes. Otherwise what is the point of being manager?
-
Is that to me? We won two games on the bounce as soon as Kettlewell took over with the same squad. Im quite aware of the situation we are in - let's sack Kettlewell and get someone new in eh - the revolving door
-
Hammell wasn't getting results and how does anyone know who he wanted moved on and when? He made the decision to punt half a dozen players in one day? That's the same Hammell who couldn't face the media the day of the cup defeat yeah? Couldn't even be arsed to tell the fans he was sorry about that result? When has Kettlewell ever hidden from an interview?
-
I think Paton is getting too much unnecessary stick just now and Halliday is an important player to have on the park.
-
Agree
-
I can't be bothered tbh. It's clear there's no room for opposing opinions on here. I'm as concerned as the next person about the position we are in just now.
-
I'm not suggesting people can't question Kettlewell.
-
Don't think we can blame everything on Kettlewell. Like the fact we were priced out of the bidding for Van Veen. Or the fact that another team didn't want to let a striker go to a potential relegation rival. Surely there's lots of factors in the mix leading up to the club not having lots of spare cash - like paying Alexander and Hammell off and other reasons.
-
I don't think it's as simple as to say that he's at fault that we lack attacking options. Do you think he wasn't trying to get a striker in during the transfer window?
-
I personally don't think the team is playing for draws. Everyone knows we are light up top and this is where our problems lie.
-
How do you know the new players we have recruited are awful. You don't want Bair? So you don't want someone who is scoring goals for us just now? Just get rid aye? Our defence was leaking goals ... Maybe that's why we signed some.
