There was a discussion on pie and bov the other day about Kelly having lost the goodwill of the support and that he would be best leaving - I find that baffling tbh. I agree. I rate Davor too but I think when Slattery and Spittal were both on their game we had a really good midfield. Slattery would also get the odd goal now and then.

Id be surprised if Spittal had anything to do with the release of the news tbh. I'd think it was more likely to be Hearts or his agent. His performances have tailed off but I think that's pretty normal - there's always going to be a bit of feeling unsettled when you know you are going - I thought he was decent on Saturday and I genuinely wish him all the best.

I think confidence has a part to play as well. Like when you go on a bad run it's tough to pull yourself out of it. I think it was obvious after that defeat to Celtic last Sept that the entire team lost confidence - it was visible that nothing was going right for us. The goals for and against aren't that different compared to last year - it's just that obviously we had more wins last season. We've been incredibly unlucky with injuries this season and that can't have helped.
