I think everyone knew he was off. I personally think he won't drop his game. I wish him the best but we move on
-
Im really not a fan of all this I know something you don't know stuff. Pretty sure Casey was very late to commit to us last season. Just because folk night might have said no right now doesn't mean they won't re consider Staying up matters to me more right now than who is staying or going. This stuff shouldn't be getting leaked onto fans forums as far as I'm concerned. It hurts the club particularly as we aren't yet safe from relegation.. And anyone connected with the club who is leaking this info... They are an arse as far as I'm concerned.
-
But not unexpected. At all. Some folk didn't rate Spittal even at the beginning of the season
-
I didn't receive it either. Saw it on here and filled it in

Holloway. Valakari and I believe Lambert said he was interested but wanted the club to approach him. I have no idea who else applied
-
I believe it was fairly common knowledge that he applied for the job Alexander got.
-
There were only a few people interviewed for the vacant position if I'm right. Holloway I believe and possibly Valakari. Its not as if Kettlewell was competing with a host of big names and got the job ahead of them. Surely it also has to come down to who actually applies for the vacancy.

I personally don't understand why Motherwell appointing Kettlewell suggests a lack of ambition. Look at some of the names earlier on in the thread that some people wanted, because they thought they were decent managers - Jim Goodwin for example. There are zero guarantees that if Motherwell appointed a bigger name we would automatically do better. It's all finance driven as you say anyway. The club needs more money to be able to succeed on so many levels. I personally don't understand why criticism of the clubs lack of ambition as some people see it seems to be linked in with Stuart Kettlewell. Is the suggestion that he isn't good enough to be our manager?
-
Yes. There was a list online a couple of months ago showing decisions given that were later shown that shouldn't have stood for all the spl clubs. Think two penalties for us.
-
But we've had VAR decisions that have worked in our favour too. I completely agree that goal should have been given but we've benefited from VAR over this season too
-
A complete disaster for them. Was always going to be a gamble given his fitness
-
If killie can't afford to keep him. We won't be signing him. He'll be off back to Holland
-
In my view Hammell was the wrong person at the wrong time more than Kettlewell. SK kept us up last season and for that he deserves credit in my view. It's also not easy to say what other people who applied for the role did or didn't have as attributes compared to SK and why the club felt that SK was the better option. It's not something fans will be told. SK also got I think it was two games as caretaker manager and from recollection we won them both - so that had to go in his favour surely.
-
The club may budget for tenth but I'm not sure that's what they aim for. We had top six and European football two years ago and we were 7th last season and 5th the season before. We need investment, as everyone knows.
-
We were in free fall when Robbo left. He left for a reason. He did the right thing going.
-
Well the I know something you don't know re a new manager was spoken on here a couple of months ago. I saw more than one poster saying they knew who the club would appoint if Kettlewell left and someone said everyone knows who it is. I had no clue. My personal view is that Kettlewell might have been the cheap appointment. But he wasn't the wrong one.

Completely agree. I think he's brilliant

I don't agree with most things steelboy has to say on here but if people want to feel welcome on these boards (which I absolutely don't) then they surely have the right to their own opinion unless they cross a line. Hes not the only person on these boards who is negative about Motherwell in just about every post. I personally don't think any poster on here should be on the other end of personal comments full stop. And I don't fucking care who that person is. Whether it's someone I agree or disagree with. Maybe the consideration should be with the moderation. I completely get it. You don't want to ban people. But you can't complain about anything steelboy posts when he's been allowed to post his opinion on here for years. Either people have the right to say what they want on here or they don't. As long as it's not hateful Calling posters out as a mod is a really bad look as far as I'm concerned. Given the complacency over what some people post. And I totally get it. You are a small mod team. But you can't have it all ways. You've let steelboy post what he likes for years. Why should you be surprised when he's going to be controversial

Not everyone on the bench gets brought on. How much game time has Elliot had for example? Or Van Veen at Killie. It's clear KVV has had fitness issues but he's still made the bench every week since he signed for them. I think this is just unnecessary nit picking.
-
Completely disagree re Ebiye. Irrespective of the mistakes Kettlewell made today think he knows better than us if someone is fit enough to be brought on.
-
I understand the point you are making but some folk have been shouting all season to get Ferrie on. We can't have it all ways.
-
Moses hasn't played competitive football since January. Kettlewell made that clear in interviews this week. Obviously there must have been a reason why Davor didn't start today.

It's completely fine. Im not on here to give anyone a tough time. And its also no issue if i stay or go. Its irrelevant. Ive just had enough. I didn't come on here to be anyone's emotional punch bag. He crossed a line and that's it. I dont want to share a forum with someone like that. That's the end of it. Mental health slurs are where I draw the line Thank you. Good night. I appreciate you responding to me. Genuinely. p. X

Thank you to the kind people who have given me an ear over the last couple of weeks. Take care. P x
