We have seen absolutely nothing this season to suggest investment in any form despite posting profits and selling our best assets. Someone at the club needs to step up and galvanize on and off the park and that should not be the responsibility of a manager just in the door. Woeful leadership.

spot on. Leadership on and off the park is sorely lacking. There are elements of our support passive to our current predicament. Seemingly, the bank balance is being prioritized over ensuring we have a squad for the top flight by both club and elements of our support. The silence from the board is absolutely baffling. We find ourselves in the biggest mess in 30 + years. As someone suggested earlier, even Baracloughs team had players like Hammell and Lasley coupled with a bit of quality like McDonald and McManus (not great but clearly good enough and a leader) - this squad has nothing about it. Neither grit, determination or quality. We are sleep walking to relegation. The board should be coming out in the wake of last weeks financial results and at least making it public that they will support the manager to the fullest extent possible. Sadly, once again, the overall leadership is sorely lacking

very few tbh. McFadden the first time he came back was probably about as exciting as it got but with players like McManus you knew you were getting some sort of pedigree. However, I have made on secret on here that I largely disagree with the signing policy at the club.

With the best will in the world, a loanee from Northampton is hardly going to encourage 250 people to put their hand In their pocket and get a ppv pass.

What you have named are 11 players when we realistically need a squad of 18. From the 11 you’ve mentioned, Polworth has gone missing for months (To a lesser extent, Campbell). I don’t believe either fans, management nor the player actually know which position Ohara is most suitable to, Long looks to be finished with Motherwell and lalwess is just in the door. Mugabe isn’t as bad as made out but he isn’t a a leader and we have been crying out for one at centre half all season - like it or not, Hartley talked the entire game and organised those around him. There’s a real lack of maturity and savvy in the middle of the park and we need a quality striker that can hit the back of the net. We’re bereft of real quality. Yes, others in the league aren’t great but it doesn’t mean we need to be dragged down. 3/4 quality bodies in this side would be the difference between 10/11th and 4th/5th which has kick back in prize money and European football. Let’s have a wee bit of ambition rather than trying to edge out accies, st mirren and county for league places.

Credit where it’s due today. We looked much more organized and less like a team that was about to crumble (especially against the old firm). It’s the very starting blocks of any side however we have been so rudderless this season that it was a welcome development. It doesn’t hide the fact that we need 3-4 players brought in over the next 2 weeks. Central midfield is a big problem for all the reasons that steelboy mentioned. A striker, centre half, central midfielder and a winger with real quality are a must. Our bench today was so weak. I’m loathed to criticize our younger players however I’m yet to see anything of Maciver to suggest he has a future at the club, Crawford is a squad player at best and it would be best for everyone if Lamie, white and seedorf never wear a Motherwell shirt again. Definite signs of improvement however we’re going to need to win 30% of our remaining fixtures to finish above 11th.
