The fog had better not ruin the chances of a televised game ! We have a real pea souper here too. -
Motherwell Vs Celtic-score Predictions,team Line-up
trafficlight replied to dazamfc's topic in Club Chat
Guys, is it Sky Sports 3 for us armchair viewers ? -
What brought about their change of heart , Matt, and will they be taking a cut ?
-
Very fair point,1984, but I will challenge those who don't know what they're talking about, same as you would in relation to MFC. It's the same thing, regardless of size, wealth etc. We stick up for our own.
-
Not true at all. I would rather face so many more people who say they don't give a fuck, instead of the confrontational ( and envious ) nonsense from ignorant fans of other clubs who go on about London fans, gloryhunters, cheating ref, fear of Old Trafford etc etc etc.
-
I read your PM Brazilian and agreed with much of it. However, on the forum of another team I won't be told what I am or what the people I know are about, same as I don't try that on with Motherwell fans. I ask questions, I attempt to learn, but I don't post cliches about a support I have very limited personal knowledge of. I certainly don't start threads with the deliberate intent of misrepresentation. As for those who don't care about Manchester United, I have no problem with that. It's those who say they don't care whilst they attempt to undermine the club and its support that piss me off. We didn't win the league for 26 years after Sir Matt left, but we consistently had the highest gates in Britain. Gloryhunters from London ? I think not ! I only wish that those who feel qualified to have an opinion would read a little and learn a little. Those who live here know the truth that so many others merely guess at. We have the graves of some those who died at Munich within walking distance, so of course uneducated opinions from those hundred of miles away cause anger. I have no problem with apathy, I have a big problem with uneducated antipathy. Up my own arse ? When those who have never been here in their lives start saying how much they hate us, I will accuse them of lame cliche and envy. I've lived with it all my life and have always confronted it. Even as a boy, when we were shit, it existed, and now it's a hundredfold. The fact I won't be browbeaten on the forum of another club causes problems, but I won't be misrepresneted by anyone in Scotland or elsewhere. I know what I believe in and I know I only react when provoked. I don't go looking for trouble. I will speak up for my community and my club with everything I have, and same as yourselves, for those people have guided so much of my life. It's been handed down since at least my great-grandad's day. I don't mind rivals hating us - Liverpool, Man City, Leeds, whoever - but I do mind when those who know very little make judgements about me and my life. I will gladly have abeer with you, Brazilian.

Constant presence ? I haven't posted for weeks. It all sounds very petty, and just because I defend my club from those who don't understand it, it doesn't equate to any kind of personality. It's all internet bullshit , and whilst it would be so easy to be meek and browbeaten, I know shite when I see it. I don't make claims to know about the personality of Motherwell fans or their motivation, so I won't accept it when its said about my community. Is that reasonable ? Everyone seems to think they have some right to comment about Manchester United - even those who have no personal experience at all. We are public property, something other clubs don't endure. Yes I'm from Manchester, yes I have a Manchester accent. No I'm not from London. Is that ok ?
-
I'm not lying. The liars are those who say it was all in the today's football thread. As netherton pointed out, it took you long enough to acknowledge the 'Fuck Man U' thread. You talk about 'arrogance'; a typical cliche of those who have no experience on Manchester football. So for one who is so knowledgable, how many times have you been to Old Trafford ? Please provide a full account of this arrogance, or are you on some bandwagon you have no personal experience of? What's your problem with one English club above all others? A club you don't know about, same as the rest ?
-
So I never said you threatened me then ! I never suggested it. But if you want to talk about sacks, how about a long mirror. I'm a fanny indeed, as you're so desperate to say in the Cooper Suite
-
How many do you know ? How many times have you been to Old Trafford ? Are you lying again ?
-
Oh let's play semantics. So who started it ? You participated in all the tired cliches about arrogance and London, as can by seen from the link. You only put your oar in on a subject you know nothing about, as usual. So who STARTED it , the thread of cliched rubbish from those who know nothing about Manchester or its football ? I read that thread, and it didn't start out in the today's football thread, as has been said.
-
You did start the thread. 'Fuck Man U' - never been here in your life and don't know any matchgoing fans, but go on about arrogance. Second hand bullshit. Stop lying. If knowing we are a great club makes us arrogant, so be it, but stop lying.
-
True. I was furious after Chelsea cheated their way to a win at Stamford Bridge, and I stand by that. We should have had a clear penalty and their free-kick for the goal was never a foul. I stand by that and don't deny what I said, nor that I'm a bad loser. But the vast majority of what was said occurred in a thread specifically called 'Fuck Man U', started by Gazzy B, and some who even posted on that thread said they had no interest in Manchester United but agreed with the sentiment - a paradox if ever there was one. So to say there was no such thread is a blatant lie. It was there in black and white and must have been merged by admin. Futhermore, those who contributed know nothing of our club apart from the cliches of coming from London, when in fact outwith Manchester the biggest constituency of the United support at matches is Irish. If they were genuinely clued up, they would have known this.
-
I know that, ye bam . You were spot on. I don't lie, I know what was said and where it was said.
-
We know that's EXACTLY where it was said. They start a 'Fuck Man U' thread than try to say it's all my fault because an admin merged it. Fuck that, I said what I said in response to those snidey types in that very thread. I know what I said and I regret none of it. They start a 'Fuck Man U' thread than claim they are totally ambivalent and don't care about my club either way !!! Not likely. We aren't the greatest club in the game for nothing, and I will always believe that's what Manchester United is. Scared off ???? You and I know what was said, and like yourself and any other football fan, I will defend my club to my last breath. I know how good we have been/are/will be.
-
Did Gazzy B start a thread called 'Fuck Man U' in which all this was said ? Yes or no ? An admin may have merged it or deleted it, but that's exactly what happened, and those who have never been to Old Trafford in their lives yet who think they can make judgements about all of us, the hundreds of thousands of us, are totally wrong. I stand by that. Scum ? On what basis? Gloryhunters ? Manchester born and bred Read something before comment is passed. Come and talk to us and mix with us.
-
You didn't start the 'Fuck Man U' thread in which this was said? Are you sure about that ?
-
I have the same wan, and it cost me more than that
-
It WAS a specifically started 'Fuck Man U' thread, as started by Gazzy B, and to say anything else is a lie. Plenty on here saw it, and whilst I shouldn't have taken the bait, I did. It may have been pulled, but it was a 'Fuck Man U' thread started by him. I say again, the people who I grew up with are not scum and you can fuck who you like. I talk complete bollocks. Let's leave it there.
-
I'll buy a Bellshill boy a beer, no problem. The land of Sir Matt and her indoors ! I hope you're a Guinness man

1984, I'm looking forward to a new experience, and one that's very different from my own life watching football. I'm used to being part of a crowd of 76,000 in a magnificent stadium. The Motherwell experience will be totally alien to me, but that's exactly why I'm looking forward to it. Almost within touching distance of the players, and for £18 in a derby game - I'll have a bit of that. I mightn't know all the players, and I won't demand to see football a la Rooney, Berabtov, Giggs, but I'm really looking forward to it and I'll create my own atmosphere if I have to. 'Well bar scarf/United beanie hat ensemble I think. Come and say hello, you rockets
-
No it was a 'Fuck Man U' thread, clearly started for mischievous reasons, knowing I was on the forum. It wasn't in the today's football thread. I shouldn't haven't taken the bait but I did. And I didn't accuse you of threatening me. You sent me a PM about that, and I ignored it, thinking you had sent it to the wrong person. Perhaps you could quote me verbatim ?
-
Do you a deal, Mr Ross. You join MUST and I'll join the MST !
-
Nice one, Robyn. I hope all the players were a pleasure to talk to. Nice touch to do that for the fans.
-
No I never. Remind me what the quote was ? I hope you'll be at the Accies game, Gazzy. I'd like to buy you a drink
