  1. This tie could be at 3-3 now had the officials done their jobs. Excellent stuff from 'Well in that half.
  2. Officials giving Steaua everything. Guys on radio are adamant both peanalty shouts were certainties.
  3. Huge penalty shout. Anyone see it ?
  4. John Sutton causing all sorts of panic in their defence. Just needs to get that vital touch.
  5. Wife's gone bananas here. If you get another, I just might as well
  6. Big Sutty frightening their defence with a couple of headers. Forbes
  7. Young Slane running at the full back. He sounds like a real talent.
  8. Aberdeen 3-0 down at half time. 8-1 on aggregate
  9. An early "Mon yeeeeeee 'Well". Big Rab in the house ! Minute's silence for Paul McGrillen EDit - No silence then
  10. Now that's a surprise. Wasn't the consensus after O'Brien's last appearance at right back that he should never play there again ?
  11. What time should the team news be coming through ?
  12. Yeah, that's a point, haggis. Just need to wait and see what comes out in the wash I suppose, but I think anyone going along would want to see the team of today.
  13. You've probably hit the nail on the head, Kirky. If it turns out to be a goer, an international schedule would take many of the big names out of the equation, but yes, Scholes, Giggs would probably make an appearance. A mix of the old timers and the young kids as everyone else will be away.
  14. That should do it Whereas tonight Aberdeen get nothing, same as 'Well in the first leg.
  15. Bringing a full squad to test how much progress the Jimmy G revolution is making
  16. At least there's live commentary of the game on Radio Scotland Sportsound. It was the Aberdeen game for the first leg, so they must be concentrating on the home legs for the smaller teams to spare the expense. Bet they were in Moscow yesterday, though

    John Boyle

I mentioned the Children In Distress gesture in another thread, and it's a very noble thing to donate some ofthe gate receipts to such a good charity. Get along tonight if you can, folks. You'll be cheering on the team and donating to a worthy cause at the same time.
  18. Anyone know how much the Well Worth Saving campaign raised and how the cash was used ?
  19. Absolutely, put his borrowings against the very club he borrowed the money to buy! He must be laughing himself silly, but this isn't the place to mess with my blood pressure over Glazer.
  20. So if I'm reading this right, Motherwell's position was never as critical as Livingston's is today ? Going to the wall was never a matter of days or weeks away ?
  21. Reminds me of Kyronical's comment during the Flamutari second leg when goal four or five had gone in; "Ahm tempted tae get ma cock oot" I really did laugh at loud at that.
  22. Interesting read that, Malky, thanks. So had 'Well been relegated the year they finished bottom, could that have potentially led to club going bust, or was that never really likely, as is the case with Livi ?
  23. Yeah, really is a case of having nothing to lose and there being no pressure at all on 'Well. If you're going out, may as well go out all guns blazing and go for it right from the off. You just never know what may happen.
  24. The Livi thread has gotten me thinking about the time 'Well were in adminstration. How deep a financial hole was the club in, and was there a serious threat to its existence ? This will be covered in Mr Johnstone's later work that I haven't gotten around to reading yet - sorry boss - so a bit of prior knowledge can't do any harm.
  25. Not my chairman mate, I've been to Fir Park the same number of times as yourself, but I know what you mean
