Garbage. 4-5-1. Robinson isolated, shocking goal to concede. -
That's quite a strange post match interview. Yes we had a couple of chances that Robinson should have done better with, but Accies were the better team for the last hour.
-
Taylor is untouchable, but he is so, so poor. Kennedy had a decent match as did Robinson and Moult when they were playing near each other. We seemed to switch formation after 30 minutes and started giving Accies all the time they wanted in midfield. We are certainly a good shout as the worst team in the league and I would fancy us as relegation candidates as long as we persist with Baraclough. So tactically inept, the players again seem like they have downed tools, his away record is frighteningly bad and his team is playing some of the worst football I've witnessed in a long time.
-
Can only see an Accies win unfortunately. We are incredibly predictable, they've picked up slightly after a nightmare spell under Canning. 3-1 Accies.

Wiljan Pluim is one of the names I've heard for the Dutch lads.

The society has been on the go for the best part of 4 years and has so far failed to convince half of their core supporters to invest in it. They have failed to convince anyone wealthy of note from the local community/businesses to invest serious money in it. Let's not forget the thousands of Well fans who don't go regularly that also haven't bought into the idea. I would say that's pretty damming evidence that more people than not, don't have confidence in it.
-
Well given less than half of our season ticket holders have confidence in the WS, adding to the wealthier supporters and businesses that the WS have consistently failed to impress enough for them to invest even a few grand in the venture should have alarm bells ringing loud and clear. The WS is doomed to failure, it has been unbelievable poorly organised and breeds zero confidence in its future for potential investors. I would imagine wealthier supporters would rather buy their own private shares in the club than contribute the same amount to the WS. They've also now hung us out to dry when it comes to Hutchinson as they have no (and will never have) means to repay this era of Baraclough spending in any reality.

In the case of the midfielder, I can't believe he hasn't been signed up by an Eredivisie side like ADO, NEC, Willen II or Roda. Would be a great edition by the reports of his trial and previous playing experience.
-
2 Dutch players coming back so both parties can decide whether the move is right. A Midfielder and a full back who were on trial with us during the training camp and impressed, but were more keen to try and tie something up in The Netherlands first. No rush to conclude anything though, so it could even be up to the Accies game before they are seen.

McStay is the 4th most capped Scottish International of all time and 3rd highest appearance holder at Celtic of all time. Granted he could have maybe hit higher heights had he chosen to leave Glasgow, but to say he was shite is simply untrue. -

Ferguson was an excellent player, for a "crab" he scored 18 goals from midfield one season. The injury he picked up at Blackburn certainly affected him throughout the rest of his career. -
Very favourable draw for us. Hopefully lady luck continues to shine on us in this competition.

I perhaps should have made it clear when I included Leitch in the players with pass marks. The addition of McDonald and Thomas greatly improved his options with the ball. The change of shape sealed up the gaping hole in the middle of the park that Lasley and Leitch had previously been struggling with when trying to do the job of 4 players. I'll need reminded who set up the equaliser...

Sink or swim time for Baraclough. He is on the cusp of losing the majority of the fans after last night's debacle, should he lose this one, it would make his position untenable imo. Thomas and Watt must start, McDonald has to start closer to Moult as they seemed to have a bit of an understanding. Probably due to Moult's immense work rate and Skippy's quality. If Law is down to start, I would sack him before K.O he is that poor. -
I would say so. Watt definitely covers his side like a right back should, nothing spectacular, but assured nonetheless.
-
Fair play to Leitch, Thomas, McDonald and Moult, they have dragged us through tonight. More promising is how good an understanding the three attackers that finished the game seem to have. Ainsworth started to make better runs aswell after the changes.
-
Law put in one of the poorest performances I've ever seen from someone in a Motherwell shirt tonight. Watt looked more assured and better defensively in his brief cameo than Law has all season.
-
IMO Laing and McManus have struck up a decentish partnership. Laing genuinely looked lost at times tonight, but Kennedy didn't look a great deal better.
-
The team that finished should be the team that starts on Saturday with only McManus to replace Kennedy
-
Law should never play again
-
Scrappy as fuck, but a good finish in the end from Moult. Leitch and Thomas have taken the game by the scruff of the neck, it'll be a scandal if they don't start on Saturday.
-
Law getting a roasting by a couple of their players down our right.
-
We look like the lower league side, all high balls and aimless punts, that on the other hand are knocking the ball about pretty decent.
-
Darnell Fisher signs for St Johnstone on loan until the end of the season. He would have been a good signing for us as he is a very decent player.
