  1. 1 more match imo. If we get roasted next week the we have to look at bringing in an old head to keep us up. We have to stay up this season, the very future of our club depends on it. As I said previously, it pains me to say it, but we really need a Calderwood or the likes to come in with the sole purpose of keeping us up.
  2. For the first time I'm hoping the board put the likes of Calderwood in charge just to keep us up. If we stick we are down. I really have to emphasise how much this opinion hurts me.
  3. Nothing again. Baraclough is learning no lessons. Straker is an abysmal footballer. The only positives are Grant, Moore and Erwin.
  4. It might actually encourage more folk to go the local bars on match day. If you usually drive and think, fuck it I'll have a pint during the game instead of taking the motor then you are more likely to stay out socialising with friends afterwards. I wouldn't think most local pubs in Motherwell would have too much issue with it.
  5. In Dundee's case, the second time was due to not getting promotion after speculating to accumulate. Relegation was almost certainly a factor in Dunfermline nearly going to the wall.
  6. Eh? All 3 were dangerously close to going bust at one point due to bouncing around the divisions. Dundee on several occasions, Dunfermline very recently and Accies chequered history is well known. Make no mistake about it, relegation is a very real threat to our future.
  7. This is the poorest league in terms of quality in my lifetime, so it's not that an outlandish statement. In the 80's the Scottish league was awash with top class footballers, certainly not the case in 2015.
  8. Don't fucking give me support the Club and the team. We have fans just like any every Club, we have vocal supporters, we have vocal detractors, we also have happy clappers that watch a competitive sport who have no ambition and accept mediocrity because it is what they are used to. The usual bullshit response from yourself atop your place on pedestal as the holier than thou superfan who goes to games now and again, buys a fleece from the Club shop and strives to be on a committee. For those that go to games home and away, we can see first hand what is happening. We will be relegated with Ian Baraclough in charge because he hasn't changed it, we are poorer and he is picking formations in every match that don't work. But hey, Motherwell fans don't know what we're talking about and these folk definitely do, so he must know what he's doing. We have lost 3 goals yet again, we have created very little and we have failed to win for the 7th match under Baraclough. It can't continue no matter how much you want to bury your head in the sand and play the superfan. M v.d Gaag was the right man at the wrong time according to the Club. He was probably first choice, but due to his insisting on changing the Club, we went for the safe and cheap option. It looks as though we'll regret such a poor decision.
  9. So 70 minutes into Baraclough's 9th match, we are being thumped and outplayed by the bottom of the league. What is your excuse for that? Successful business people can recognise a mistake when they make it and they can also spot when reacting to a situation is better than allowing it to threaten the future of the business. Pep Guardiola would certainly have us playing well and winning because he is a terrific football coach and brilliant motivator. We play in a sub standard league and when you look around it, a good coach makes all the difference.
  10. The more I read this, the more stupid it becomes. So Motherwell fans can't be successful business people? Motherwell fans can't have coaching qualifications? Motherwell fans should just shut up and allow us to nose dive towards the trapdoor.
  11. Show me the evidence that Baraclough knows what he is doing? Show me it. We are worse off since he has come in, his 2 signings that he brought into the team were woeful. We are now playing a must win match against one of our main rivals and are second best again despite having 2 full weeks to coach and prepare for it. Les Hutchinson certainly knows how to make money from an already established, succesful business. Does he know how to run a football club? We'll see.
  12. The reality is, he has brought in his own players, has had two weeks to coach them and prepare them for this match. He has been here long enough now to make his mark and hasn't impressed at all. How long does he need? Football is a results driven business and he isn't doing the basics. We cannot lose this match.
  13. The manager has no excuses left. A disaster if we lose this.
  14. Unless there is some sort Motherwell themed Khmer Rouge revolution within the halls of NLC, they will continue to do a disservice to their commodity.
  15. Not news. NLC/NLL really wanted Celtic to train there when the weather got bad, but since Lennoxtown is the all singing and dancing facility Celtic said it would be, it put them up shit creek. Arseholes to a man with absolutely no interest in the local teams(Airdrie and Albion included). Motherwell had to travel far and wide to train during the recent cold snaps rather than being able to use the multi million pound sports complex right next to our ground.
  16. Dirty Airdrie Bastard!! Best rid of the kunt!
  17. Fyvie definitely wasn't what was needed. Glad to have avoided.
  18. Cummins has fitness issues. Unsubstantiated attitude problems won't help either.
  19. We are currently offering less than BPA, whose yearly wage budget is the equivalent of McManus, Lasley and Nielsen's wages? York City do not pay players more than Motherwell, infact we pay players more than several Clubs in our own league. If we are paying less the BPA for players then we are as good as finished as a professional club. Bellshill, Pollock and Tayport can compete with BPA for players, so if we can't then we are being misled to the financial predicament of the club. I would suggest the snippets posted are utter bullshit. Maybe an attempt to try and give credit to IB when it remains to be seen if he deserves it, the poster may have some personal attachment, but not everyone is impressed by the standard of player being brought in. Sink or swim time for the manager.
  20. One of the easier decisions he'll have to make is Laing's red card.
  21. Quality team today. Only 4 right backs and both new boys make their debuts. Dan Reid Ramsden Carswell Straker Watt Erwin Law Sutton O'Brien Laing Subs: Gunnar, Thomas, MacLean, Cadden, Ainsworth, Kerr, Moore
