  1. I'm glad the board has seemingly decided to seek outside investment as that will be what will safeguard our immediate future as a Club. The WS has reached it's ceiling and I think everyone has been disappointed at the relatively low take up of the more expensive options. From a personal point of view, when it comes to the more expensive personal memberships and the business memberships, I would much rather be investing that type of cash directly into the club in the form of private shares as opposed to a WS membership.
  2. Cleaners, labourers, dinner ladies and call handlers are on relatively low incomes. Professional footballers, including those at Motherwell, are paid hansomly for what they do. I don't see many part time cleaners driving brand new £50k X5's and staying at the race course...
  3. Last/this season's County shirts were good quality from Macron, but the sizing is very dubious.
  4. Discussions on contract renewals won't take place until 2nd/3rd place is confirmed and Europe is guaranteed. It will probably be around mid-June at the earliest before anything is resolved either way for ALL players.
  5. A very assured performance by big Gunnar. After all the criticism for his poor showings over the course of his spell here, a hefty dose of praise is due his way. Despite conceding 3, there wasn't a great deal he could have done with any of the goals.
  6. Unfortunately, it's reality. I would love nothing more than to see us skelp these cunts, but this Celtic team are a fine tuned machine when it comes to winning matches. They certainly aren't a modern day vintage in terms of entertainment like the Burns side was or had the star names of O'Neill's side, however they know how take 3 points from almost every match they play and how to shut out the opposing team in the process. They remain on course to break/equal some pretty impressive records.
  7. Can only see a pumping to be honest. Recent collapses against Killie and St Mirren don't fill me with confidence. We have to hope Celtic have a major off day and we are at the very top of our game.
  8. I've done Amsterdam to Hamilton via Calais several times, it's not that bad. Hamilton to Inverness is worse.
  9. No looking forward to the drive up and down tomorrow anyway.
  10. I certainly wouldn't have Kerr anywhere near right wing anyway.
  11. I've heard Aberdeen are on the verge of some serious investment, however a lot hinges on the new stadium and surrounding build. Eye watering amounts that are ready to be plunged in should everything get the go ahead though. Lucky bastards.
  12. UK rules protect Clubs up until a player is 24. Hutch isn't 24 until November.
  13. Where's the money coming from? I doubt Rangers can afford development fees for Hutch and McLean.
  14. Everyone should still be going to support the team on the park rather than doing a Geoffrey.
  15. An admirable assumption, unfortunately the reality is different. Nielsen is consistently costing us points and goals against. This is a bare bones of it. We are now at the stage where we must score at least a couple to take results in any game because he is likely to cause at least one goal. Hollis is solid enough in comparison and despite his size, commands his box better than a near 2 meter tall keeper does. Eventually a tipping point will happen given the poor performance of Nielsen over the course of the season. I would assume almost all fans of Motherwell, be it those who go home and away, Fir Park regulars and TV viewers will be wanting Hollis in as soon as possible and judging by McCall's reactions to Nielsen last night, I would expect Hollis to be between the sticks on Saturday if he's fit.
  16. If Hollis is fit, he simply must play. I'm not as confident as I should be going into this game given the last two performances.
  17. Just to add a small bit of positivity, Craig Reid did a solid job on the right and put in plenty of effort.
  18. Just back from Perth, Neilsen MUST be dropped before he costs us anymore. Brutal for the first with what should be a keepers bread and butter and St Johnstone had clearly ear marked he was a weak link by trying to expose him at every opportunity. His kicking tonight was fucking horrific and McCall looked as if he was going to go on the park and deck him after he had kicked the ball straight out of play for the umpteenth time. The defence has zero confidence in him and it shows with the risks that they are willing to take rather than rely on him. Angol really needs dropped and maybe even a spell back in the U20's to get some confidence back. His awareness for a professional footballer is incredibly shite, 9/10 makes the wrong choice and was hopelessly caught out for the last. Vigurs was mostly poor, but mixed in with some nice pieces of play just emphasises what a frustrating player he is. Sutton and Anier didn't work well at all tonight with both looking really lethargic and frankly disinterested on occasion. MacLean found himself between McManus and Hammell for the second goal however I think Hammell should have done a lot better as MacLean was his man at the time. Big Mick should be scoring the gilt edged chance he had just before half time, in which case we may have been looking at some points gained because St Johnstone really aren't up to much. One of the poorest, uninspiring and insipid performances we have produced this season. Virtually no positives whatsoever to take from it.
  19. Probably not, considering Tim Howard is a proven top class goalkeeper with over 300 Premier League appearences for Manchester United and Everton, nearly 100 international caps for a good US team that has had numerous quality keepers whilst he has been playing for them and the reality that Tim Howard having bad games is a relatively rare occurance.
  20. Adding in the fact the defence looks a lot shakier than it has since the Celtic game at the beginning of December.
  21. A new keeper is essential this week. I'm at a loss watching and trying to work out how Nielsen was ever on the books at Manchester City. McManus and Hutchinson were losing the head with him at every Aberdeen attack. You can clearly see that our defence has no confidence in him whatsoever.
  22. He's still held in high regard up here and rightly so. Great defender and hard as nails. The only disappointing aspect of his time here was that his exceptional porno tache didn't follow him to Scotland.
