If it was as simple as that then we would not be having such a discussion. The problems that will concern Motherwell FC are much more serious than a few cosmetic issues like shite tin roofing and dirty seats. The cost to repair these two stands alone would run into Millions of £'s.

I'd say within the next decade, we won't have the choice anymore and as I said previously, I don't foresee the East and POD stands staying open beyond the next 5 years. Airdrie, Hamilton or Livi beckons if we don't do something quick.

Blame can certainly not be attached to Motherwell FC if Scottish Power have powered down the grid, but surely to fuck Motherwell should have known about the potential for it to happen? If not, then Scottish Power should be reimbursing MFC for the inconvenience. MJC is right about one thing though, Fir Park is a shit hole and sooner rather than later the POD and East stands won't have a safety certificate in place leaving only the Cooper and South Stands open. That's unless MFC spend millions of £££ redeveloping the two of them of course...

The only saving grace McCall has is that it's the League Cup and nobody really gives a fuck about it. In hindsight, with our squad, it's a good thing we don't have the extra games to worry about. I'll agree with that. He was far too kind to Ian Black who is a terrible footballer with very limited ability and a penchant for diving and kicking fuck out of the opposition. Being "Busy" doesn't transfer as actually being any good, hence why he has looked decidedly average in SFL 3 with poor distribution, awareness, tackling and fitness on show for all to see. Ian Black's best ever and probably one of his genuinely only good games was the SC Final, one swallow doesn't make a summer and I've yet to see him "DOMINATE" against any Motherwell side in the past 5/6 seasons.

One thing that must be said, this will be a game to leave the children at home and pack the boxing gloves and chibs because there will be mayhem outside Ibrox when we win.

The striking choices of McCulloch, Little, Shiels, Kyle, Sandaza and Templeton doesn't exactly fill me with dread. None of them are top SPL players, so it really isn't anything to worry about. Their defence is absolutely hopeless however, so much so that Ojamaa/Murphy/Humphrey/Higdon/Law could have one of the most productive games we'll see from them all season. I did enjoy reading the statement: "They would love to have our players" Aye, right ye are That being said, the Diddy Cup is a distraction from the league and I hope we treat it as such by giving the younger/fringe players a decent run out.

Gutted we missed out on Del Piero. Owen, McFadden, Hargreaves and Tchoyi should be decent free signings when we make them.

We looked like getting Stevenson until Hearts put their oar in after it became public knowledge. We'll play it the same way we always do, keep the actual transfers schtum until the ink is dry on the contracts whilst at the same time having improved our squad(which is hardly shite in SPL terms) and will comfortably be top 5 again. Fear not as there will be some decent players coming into Fir Park today...

Would take all three. As has been said, if McCall got Riordan to screw the nut he would be the SPL's signing of the season. Kerr would be a decent addition alongside Lasley and Broadfoot would be decent addition to the squad.
