Not the type of game a ball player can flourish in and on a park that doesn't allow a passing game to be played, so he did well today as did Murphy and Jennings. His ball retention was good and always used it well. Did the job that had to be done, nothing spectacular though did nothing wrong and unlucky with his free kick. The inclusion of Forbes in a formation that suits him was the key. Ran the game and was our playmaker, which is something we haven't had. Jeffers and Murphy playing off of Sutton worked brilliantly too. Was impressed with Jeffers tonight on his first start and I just hope he had ran out of steam. Aberdeen offered the square root of fuck all, one team in it and the right team won. Credit where credit's due, McCall has decided the wingers haven't been working, we looked a lot more balanced and played the game at our pace. Hutch and Hateley put in cracking perfomances too. In saying this, I did think our changes killed the game a bit, although they looked forced rather than by choice. Great win and we will rarely be as comfortable as that at Pittodrie. Mon the Well!

Can see it being a tight affair with Aberdeen winning it by a single goal. The fact that their defence has tightened up and we can't score will be the deciding factor.

One particular positive of Casagolda playing tonight was the fact we ditched the long ball game and outplayed Killie. It's the best football we've played in a long time. The emphasis changed almost as soon as Sutton came on though. On to the man, put in a decent performance considering it was only his second start in 6 months and first in a few months. Considering the guy has come from Belgian football and not had the game time to acclimatise to the SPL, I think he did enough to stay in contention for a start in Stranraer, our front line looked a lot more mobile tonight.
