  1. However, his fashion sense was only a one.
  2. I don’t think he will take my call. However, I remained very calm and polite during our brief spat and Jim appeared to lose it! I’ll make do with listening to the excellent podcast instead.
  3. Unfortunately Jim Spence blocked me after our Twitter spat as I can’t view any of his tweets. If I remember correctly he told me to “feck off!” after I challenged him over an emotive, tabloid style rant that that he posted on Twitter.
  4. I found this on Twitter. Here's a spread of possible positions following fixtures on 21st Feb
  5. I had an argument with Jim Spence on Twitter, thinking back I think he had, had a few as he was starting to ramble.
  6. Historically, Hibs are seasoned bottlers, however, they are looking much stronger these days. The premiership side that gets the play off spot will require nerves of steel.
  7. It will be a lot tougher, however, Killie recently managed a draw at Ibrox in the cup, so maybe there is a glimmer of hope. In saying that, the very same Killie side cut through us like melted butter, so maybe not for us.
  8. Yes I would agree, however, given our current form that total seems a long way off, but it is achievable.
  9. With 13 games (39pts) remaining would anyone care to estimate how many points we will required to secure 10th spot and our premiership status? Kilmarnock finished 10th last season on 41pts (we are currently on 26pts) and I suspect we will need to achieve at least that in order to avoid the play off spot. So by that reckoning we will require 5 wins to reach the 41pts target and pray that will be enough to escape 11th. On our current form 5 or perhaps 6 wins seem like a pipe dream.
  10. In football you can assume nothing until it’s mathematically impossible for you not to get relegated. At the moment our form is just as bad as Dundee United’s and I believe them and the other teams are smelling blood. We on the other hand are only smelling salt from all the knockouts.
  11. Has anyone told them that they are going down? Maybe we could let them know before Tuesday so they can pin it to the dressing room wall to remind them that there is no point in trying.
  12. Too early to revive this thread from last season?
  13. To be fair I think the top two (Rangers, Hibs) have improved this year.
  14. If we do get relegated, we will have no option other than to build our squad mainly around young players. Hopefully by the time it takes us to get promoted (assuming we do at some point), these young players will be ready for the step up.
  15. Agreed, everyone is entitled to leave whenever they want. You pay your money, you make your own choice when to go.
  16. In my opinion he was sharper in front of goal and I believe the Skippy of old would have converted more of the chances. I like the guy, however, I understand that he will never be the same player who scored 42 goals in 108 appearances first time. And certainly not the player who scored 51 goals in 88 games for Celtic.
  17. You can’t deny his work rate and without his goals and assists we would be much poorer off. However, he is a different player to what we had first time around and I sometimes think managers forget that.
  18. MacDonald’s best days are well behind him and no matter how hard we wish, he will never reach the heights he achieved first time around with us or Celtic. Davie Cooper and Phil O’Donnell were the last players that I can remember who actually lived up to their former glories. I had hoped that Faddy would have fitted into that category, however, he has not had enough game time to really judge him.
  19. So I believe, however we were comfortably beaten by a shite team yesterday. Rather you than me, hopefully the team repays you and the other travelling fans with a positive result.
  20. Unfortunately, on our current form we are heading in that direction. I hope we can stop the rot, however, if we can’t, we will need to find some positives from the situation and that is what we tried to do last time around.
  21. And their parting legacy could be relegation from the top flight, however, for the future of our club that might not be as bad as it sounds. It would allow us to build a young team for the future, without the pressures of the premiership. We did it in the early 80s, when our late 70s team were replaced by much younger players after relegation.
  22. This game will show who wants it more and if United still have it in them to perform the great escape. You can’t play for a draw, however, if offered, McGhee would take it right now.
