The ref was shocking. Was this not also the game where Philliben punched the the ball clear on line, stopping a certain goal? I remember thinking at the time that it should have been a penalty and a straight red.

Sadly I am working and won’t be able to make the game. I am hopeful that we can kick on from the Hearts game and sneak a hard fought 2-1 victory.

I agree Al, I’m not suggesting we go back to the past, I just thought it was maybe a missed opportunity at the time (late 70s early 80s). No surprising considering the weather we have had over the last few days.

I have always been a fan of Umbro’s 70s/80s diamond sleeve shirts. However, sadly by 1985 the year of our last Umbro kit, the design had all but run it’s course. Here is a quick fantasy MFC Umbro kit, using a 1960s ‘V’ inset collar, combined with the iconic 1970s diamond sleeve design.

I would imagine Thistle will wear their pale blue away kit.
