  1. Andy Ritchie, a great natural talent, however, he never quite fulfilled his potential.
  2. Sadly we don’t score many goals and to win games you need to put the ball in the net. With that in mind I reckon it will be 2-0 to Aberdeen. The search for some much needed points continue.
  3. That’s a crazy amount to be fined for a word that will be said at every game up and down the country. I have belted it out the ‘F’ word myself on numerous occasions without comment from a steward or policeman. Not that I don’t believe you, however, are you 100% certain this actually happened, and the story hasn’t just been exaggerated by the FAC to cause a stir on social media? If I remember correctly, even the ‘Bovril Two’ made the press.
  4. Do you you have a link to the story? I can’t find anything online about this madness.
  5. It’s a flawed system when you can be found not guilty, however, you still have to pay £800 costs. Mental.
  6. That’s shocking Judge, your story just demonstrates what could potentially happen when you are reported by a steward to the Police.
  7. With all the chat on alleged fan victimisation by police and stewards, I have decided to start a poll to find out how many posters on here have had ‘personal dealings’ with the authorities due to their perceived actions at a football match. Answer honestly, and if possible leave details of the incident and outcome. I have personally had no dealings with the police, however, I did sit near the ‘Bovril Two’ boys (remember that incident?) when they were unfairly banned (in my opinion) from games for throwing a cup of the popular meat flavoured beverage onto the playing surface.
  8. That’s mental, when did this happen? Just curious was it reported in the news, and do you have a link to the story?
  9. Maybe I have been lucky, however, I have attended games for 50 years man and boy and I am happy to report I have never been close to being arrested for supporting my team. I sing, cheer, swear (god forbid) and celebrate goals and at no point has any steward or policeman ever approached me about my behaviour. I am not sure what these young boys are doing to get arrested or harassed by police and stewards, can anyone enlighten me?
  10. Early days, however, I have already prepared myself for another relegation battle. With Rangers walking the Championship, at least this time there will be no play off against the boys from Govan (they are much stronger this year). Is our team good enough to beat Raith, Hibs or Falkirk in a two leg play-off? Assuming we are not relegated outright, on our current poor form I can only see one outcome.
  11. Agreed, I would have been livid if they had went against us, how the ref never gave them I will never know. We are still a zero to one goal team, unfortunately against the better sides it is zero. Today was poor, however, I wasn’t expecting much from this one. We move on.
  12. I was there weeyin and it was mobbed. We had beaten Celtic 3-2 in the previous round and If my memory serves me correct we ran out 2-0 winners. After a quarter final marathon against Hibs, Rangers knocked us out in ‘that game’. We should have been in the final that year against Hearts.
  13. 91 Cup Final, it was a dream come true and a game that I will never forget.
  14. It will probably be nearer 8,000. We had under 8,000 at the 3-3 draw (around 7,500) and the 0-1 defeat (around 7,700) at Fir Park last year and I see no reason why this game will be any different attendance wise.
  15. In order to visualise a Motherwell cup run, it would require Opium not Optimism.
  16. What drugs are you on, and can I get some?
  17. Of course only the management and players can say whether your view holds any water. Our poor performances may just have been down to the managers tactics and team selection/formation and nothing to do with players allegedly downing tools. Baraclough, seemed liked a really nice guy, however, his tactics and team selection were in my opinion at times baffling.
  18. I think this is how most level headed Well fans will view his appointment, however, he has a lot to do to change the opinions of the doubters and the haters.
  19. Probably not, however, in our current situation we couldn’t take a risk of employing an untried ‘rookie’ SPL manager. We needed someone who is respected in the Scottish game and knows what it takes to be competitive in the Premier League. Like it or not, Mark McGhee fits that remit. He would not have been my first choice, however, he has been appointed by the board and we should back him.
  20. Missing this one as well, however, hopefully we can at least put up a fight. Sadly, I reckon it will be 3-0 Celtic.
