I suspect the board will want to keep Lasley and Tommy would be the ideal man for him to learn from. Also, he’s within our wage bracket and knows the Scottish game very well.
So if we can’t afford the likes of a Paul Cook, what available managers can we afford? Makes you wonder what type of money the likes of Cook can command. 250k? Ah well the Gary Holt’s of the world it is then.
A manger from out with the Scottish set up would need some help, so I expect Lasley would still have some role to play. Although, any new boss may want to bring in their own assistant.
I’m sure he has an in-depth knowledge of all the UK professional leagues and would demand 100% effort. No hiding if Cook was in charge. I wonder what kind of salary he would command?
Paul Cook would be an excellent choice. However, I’m not sure if he would fancy managing in Scotland. He left Wigan in August and is looking to get back into management.
No disguising the fact that we are truly dreadful and on current form we appear to be the worst team in the league. A league that contains Hamilton (currently beating us), Livingston (currently beating Hibs) & Ross County (currently drawing against St Johnstone).
