  1. I asked for a 50s tribute a while back and on first glance it looks pretty smart. Now for the dreaded sponsor.
  2. I’ve asked for this for some time and I’m glad the hooped sleeves have been brought back.
  3. I’ve had a few Bradford City fans saying they would buy that striped shirt in a heartbeat. Extra revenue is always welcome, no matter who is buying it.
  4. As has been stated the blue away shorts will certainly mean that we will be wearing white shorts in the upcoming season. It also gives us the opportunity to wear them with the away if required. I’ve been a supporter of a one off reintroduction of black socks for a several years now, and I suspect it will happen at some point. Who knows, this year might be the one? I’ve also supported the reintroduction of hooped sleeves and the reinstating of our ‘full hoop’ on our shirts. I won’t hold my breath on the latter two being done, although I live in hope that the full hoop will appear again at some point. Personally our traditional home shirt should never be without it. The ‘claret band’ has become more of an advertising feature in recent years rather than an integral part of our kit/shirt history.
  5. Not that I know of. I was excited to see some old images from our 1920s tour and dug this one out from my kit concept archive. It seemed appropriate.
  6. Toffs still do a couple. Our ‘signature’ home shirt is hard to beat. Toffs, £38
  7. There will be a new home kit. Teams rarely keep the same shirt these days as replica money is king.
  8. Sadly campaigns like that only last a short time. I’m sure Paddy Power will have moved on to a different campaign now.
  9. Since we are going down the retro route I’ve dug out this concept from an old hard drive. I’ve added the new Macron branding etc. This concept paid homage to Bradford City who we took our colours from, and our mid 1920s C&A striped shirt that we wore when we toured the world.
  10. It was. It’s all good. If the team looks sharp and they get any small hints/tips from my mock-ups then I see that as a positive. I love the team, and I love classy kit designs no matter who does them.
  11. The sponsor will hopefully be placed beneath the band. If they have any design sense this is where it should go. I’m sure they won’t let us down.
  12. You’re not joking! I just wish they liked it enough to pay me!
  13. I’ve been wondering for a while, since 2005 I think. Worth noting the Umbro concept I created below was done over 10 years ago in May 2010. It’s pretty dam close design wise to our ‘new’ away. Also a few other blue Samp style concepts. I’ve lost count on how many I’ve done in this style.
  14. I went to the same school as Keith, Lanark Grammar.
  15. The 90/91 away version is available here, coincidently for £50.
  16. Of course the ‘petrol blue’ shade is misleading due to the card printing, but I can understand why we have adopted that shade. The blue would have more than likely been a blue not too dissimilar (whisper it) Glasgow Rangers.
  17. A few SPFL kits are starting to surface (Hibs, Dundee, Hearts etc). Any news/rumours on when the new seasons kit will be showcased?
  18. Posted on Facebook, Joe Wark’s original late 60s shirt.
  19. I love experimenting with basic team wear and what potentially can be achieved with some no frills off the shelf kit. These Motherwell kit concepts are based on the current Umbro and Joma range. The claret hoop would require some basic sublimated printing.
  20. Signature trademark gone in a blink of an eye. A woeful excuse from the club. Can you imagine telling Celtic fans something similar?
  21. A bit of spin doctor kit cost cutting down Motherwell way....
  22. He’s putting in some ripped out seats in the away end in their honour.
  23. Yes perhaps it has more of a sweatshirt feel than a football shirt.
