  1. Hope this performance is a one off by Ruddy as Fraser doesn't look too hot.
  2. Would probably take 2-2 but here's hoping we can still sneak it.
  3. The best pinstripe away strip launch this year was clearly Linfields.
  4. Thread closed me thinks!
  5. Signed on loan to Plymouth Argyle today.
  6. I tend to agree, where possible keep it simple. I'm not keen on overly photoshopped backgrounds as it makes it look too fussy. Where possible kits/players should be photographed against a simple background in the studio. That way the kit design really shines through.
  7. I must admit I do quite like pinstripes and like yourself Fatcalf i'm a skinny bastard. As you said though given a choice I would have preferred a straight reverse of the home this year. Old guys like me don't like change and I would happily have a hooped strip every year. The only alteration I would make each year would be to the shape of the collar. Mind you I always cut some slack on the away design as it lets you be a bit more adventurous. And for what it's worth this years is none too shabby. Well done to all involved!
  8. Nothing to do with the colour purely for the use of the horizontal pinstripes and the self colour sleeves. Pinstripes seem to be in at the moment!
  9. Reminds me of Evertons new pink and black away kit.
  10. Nice kit, and just the right amount of amber on the top. Well done Canterbury. Glad to have you back!
  11. I wonder if he has his dad's dress sense? He used to wear some honking gear.
  12. We have a fairly good record on games televised on BBC Alba so i'm going for 2-1 to the Well.
  13. Mark McGhee and Scott Leitch were also watching last nights Thistle game, so Aberdeen could be set for a triple transfer scoop.
  14. My Partick supporting mate told me that Jim Gannon was watching Thistle play Liverpool last night at Firhill. Maybe a chance of picking up some young Liverpool hopefuls on loan?
  15. A massive difference from last season. Just remember that visiting teams will be able to play better on our new surface as well. In saying that our shocking performance on St.Mirren's 'bowling green' surface is a reminder we don't always play at our best on a decent park.
  16. Who cares, we could just 'steel' it. I'll get my coat.
  17. We would need to get you to be the Steelman mascot Haggis to show them what a real Superman should look like.
  18. Just make the blue amber, the red cape claret and your sorted! Steelman!
  19. I would be all for a claret and amber Steelman Superman style mascot. The Man of Steel anyone?
  20. Canterbury is not the only kit manufacturer that is having money problems... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/8184832.stm Adidas sees profits plunge by 95% Sportswear giant Adidas has reported a fall in profits for the April to June period of 93% as consumer spending fell during the economic downturn. Net profit came in at 8m euros ($11.5m; £6.8m), compared with 117m euros for the same period a year earlier. Sales fell 2.5% to 2.46bn euros. But the company was upbeat about its prospects for the rest of the year. "I believe we have seen the bottom in our financial performance this year," said Adidas boss Herbert Hainer. "We did not see any fundamental deterioration in our business since publishing our first-quarter results... I am confident that our results will improve as we go through the remainder of the year," he added. Sales grew in the US and in Latin America, but fell in most major European and Asian markets. The company also said that profit margins were squeezed due to higher operating costs and an increasingly competitive retail environment. For the full year to date, the company reported a profit of 12m euros, down 96% on the same period a year ago. Sales were down 2% to 5.03bn euros. Adidas is the world's second-biggest sporting goods maker, after Nike. The German firm bought Reebok in 2006 to help it compete against Nike. It also owns the Taylormade golf brand, where sales actually increased during the second quarter.
