  1. News of the World opinion on John Boyle's view on the SPL Setanta contract...
  2. Anybody know how far Nancy got in the tournament?
  3. Historically probably business as usual then. Not sure of the overall stats but we've probably been in the bottom six more than the top six and having a better season than St Mirren, Falkirk and ICT is a bonus. Year in year out our fanbase is similar in size to St Mirren, Killie and even in the lower league Morton who on their day can bring a massive support. I would guess that our average SPL league position would be around 7th or 8th. Anybody got the actual stats?
  4. Would be interesting to see him join a team who he said aren't better than us, they're just luckier. Maybe if he does join FHW he can bring some bad luck their way.
  5. The printed rather than stitched Canterbury logo is the biggest clue yet that the full claret hoop is back. Previous kits have had stitched claret front panels on amber cloth meaning that the back has to be blank for the squad number. A printed hoop means the number can be stuck on top of the hoop like the celtic kits.
  6. Has anyone got a copy of a very old team picture that used to be on the old official site? I think it was captioned as the earliest MFC team pic and was taken around the late 1800's
  7. Yes that's the one. I tried to post the same picture but it failed to load.
  8. Not Roman Road but there was a cracking old picture of Fir Park for sale on ebay last year taken around 1905.
  9. Only two home games left before the end of the season. With one of them being Inverness on a Wednesday night we will be lucky to get more than 6000 punters in total for both games. The Inverness game may attract around 2,500 and the Killie one 3,500. The last games crowd will all depend on how Killie are doing regarding relegation.
  10. The answer this season is no in my opinion.
  11. I ended up confusing myself!
  12. I see Preston have revealed their new Canterbury kits. Looks like ours may not be far away from these designs with the addition of a claret hoop/band. Preston 09-10
  13. After todays second preview it is looking more and more like the Lille canterbury shirt template below. The club crest appears to be in the centre of the shirt positioned just below the Canterbury logo. They may go for a claret collar rather than a crew neck but that part may become clearer in the next reveal.
  14. McGhee gives his thoughts on todays performance. BBC
  15. Couldn't agree more but the fact is no one would want to play for us under that kind of wage structure. McGhee and Boab Malcolm would need to get a second jobs stacking shelves in Tesco.
  16. Just lucky it's not yellow paint.
  17. Looks like our bottle crashed then Mark. Meanwhile the green bottles are most definately still on the wall.
  18. In my opinion he lost the dressing room when he almost got on the plane to Lithuania during the pre-season. When he should have been thinking about Motherwell his mind was on Hearts. He won't take a wage cut, although on performance he deserves one.
  19. Even with my season ticket I don't think I will be back. Due to money being tight I'm not renewing mine next season so it may be sometime before I see them again. After around 38 years as a season ticket holder In true Motherwell style I went out on a low. Sad times.
  20. Today was an absolute shambles. No passion, no skill and no top six. Unfortunately I have a season ticket but if I didn't, I wouln't even go if they paid me a fiver to go in. What now for Mark McGhee? His beloved Hearts job has gone and Jimmy Calderwoodstain looks like hanging on to his. This game was on a par with Malpas's reign and that is saying something. Forget the Sultana deal going tits up this performance ensured that our high earners will be moving on before next season.
  21. Ok it was offside but what was Klimpl doing playing the ball back across the goal. Shambolic defending.
  22. Despite having to play Rangers It's in Hibs hands i'm afraid. If we win and they win the top six place goes to Hibs.
  23. Our record against St Mirren is not brilliant. I can still see Hibs getting at least a draw against Rangers which would mean we would need to beat St Mirren. The rollercoaster rolls on to Saturday.
  24. Probably pay at the gate for me. Money is very tight and it is looking like I will not be renewing my season ticket for the first time in about 38 years! Sad days.
