  1. These are for PettyWulliegrew.
  2. Forget the band. Will it have a HOOP? Although I think I know the answer on that one and it won't be what I want to hear.
  3. I've seen them. Nothing that a amber 'Dylon' fabric dye couldn't sort!
  4. JB appears to be in hiding. You would like to think that he is back from his holiday by now. There was more flak in todays PM addition of the Rancid. A double page spread of Mark Hateley complaining that our pitch is a major danger to professional footballers and should be shut down until it is fixed. Clicky
  5. I like the design of all the 70's 80's Adidas football shirts as well. It is purely the canary yellow colour that I hate. A change of colour and the addition of a hoop it would have been a Motherwell classic. A missed opportunity in my opinion. Our 80's V neck Patrick number was a much better colour.
  6. The Adidas kit was a canary yellow colour nightmare. I remember at the time being shocked at how yellow that kit was. It also would have been much better with a bold claret hoop. It probably was an off the shelf number with this being the main reason why it was so yellow.
  7. I would settle for a hint of claret & amber to reflect the change from blue to C&A. Roma produced a green shirt many years ago with a claret and amber hoop and it looked well smart. It would also look good in blue. They also had an adidas blue kit in the early 90's with some C&A in it as well.
  8. I don't think it will happen due to shirt numbering problems which would require the hoop to be printed on rather than the current stitched band.
  9. We had one in 2006-2007. The shirt was a homage to our 1950's cup winning kit.
  10. You should email him those pictures as a reminder of the state of tynecastle last year.
  11. I see Frontlinefootball are mentioned on the shirt website footballshirtculture.com could be a good job for any budding sports journalists. Edit: Just noticed the company mentioned on here is livefootball and not frontlinefootball I had assumed this was the same company as the journalist offer seemed similar. Not sure if they are in any way linked.
  12. Slagging the forum for no one having the balls to phone in.
  13. Claiming that our pitch has been this bad since 1999!
  14. A least Roughie is trying his best to defend our pitch. The guy Cameron is a wind up merchant.
  15. Available online: www.realradio-scotland.co.uk
  16. The 70's and early 80's certainly were a bit of an experimental period for Motherwell kits when only one top briefly had the hoop at the start of season 73-74. (See picture of John Goldthorp below) This was quickly changed to the now legendary Pettigrew claret sash top. I prefer if our kit has some sort of claret band but it took until season 84-85 for Patrick to re-introduce our traditional band/hoop. Apart from a few exceptions in season 90-91, 96-98 and 2000-2002 it has remained. The tragic 2004-2006 Zoom effort was a band of sorts, all be it a blue and white one! Since our colours changed to claret and amber in 1913 around 47 of those seasons our top has had some sort of claret hoop or band. This is reason alone to keep it where possible on all our home tops. In my opinion too many teams ignore their kit tradition. I really hope we can keep our signature kit and not just accept the latest design templates.
  17. Klimpl was booked purely on where the incident took place. The challenge seemed to knock the boy into the concrete part of the tunnel just next to the home dugout. Could have been a nasty injury if he had hit his head. He probably would not have been booked if it had happened in the middle of the park and could have just left it as the ball appeared to be going out. An avoidable booking which could have cost us dearly.
  18. O'Brien for me. Special mention for Reynolds and Craigan despite the mistake for the goal.
  19. Not many on target but you only need one against a less than free scoring Celtic side. One against Rangers now one against Celtic. Paul Quinn hammer of the Old Firm.
  20. It isn't over we've still a lot to play for this season. You just need to think back to helicopter Sunday, to know that the season can be exciting right to the final whistle on the last day of the season. That game was easily in my top 5 Well moments of all time. Here's to another one today. Mon the Well!
  21. A potential money diaster for Motherwell if true despite the Setanta cash. You would think that the Old Firm games at Fir Park are generally the seasons highest earners. More crowd = More profit. No doubt that attendance seems to have dropped in these games and tomorrow could be the lowest in recent years. The self titled 'Greatest Fans in the World' will choose like many Well fans to watch the game at home or in the pub.
  22. I would assume you are being moved. It's a bit late if they have not told Cooper season ticket holders yet. Being in the East Stand I'm not sure how it works. Do they post you out a replacement ticket?
  23. Sack our esteemed leader and bring back the 'Dream Team' of Butcher & Malpas. With them in charge Inverness are now a top 6 certainty. Mind you Butcher might be lured by the possible vacant Hibs job and Malpas will be left to take the farmer boys down.
  24. They don't know the half of it... (cue Hovis music). With the likes of Provan Sports on your doorstep replica kits even for smaller sides are readily available. Still too dear mind you.
  25. I'm sure at the time you didn't mind that it was a knock off or even notice. Parents really struggled to find official kit for sale. Your lucky I never even got a knock off version.
