A quick note, they do take a wee while to arrive as they are made and delivered from Thailand. 4 to 6 weeks is pretty common.

The original 1986 retro was pretty shoddy. Black umbro badge (?), black printed Motherwell badge and no Skelly sponsor. The Aztec version blows this poor effort out of the water.

Always brave doing Motherwell retro as we are not a massive club and sales will not be the same as for other clubs. The added bonus is that they are really well made and far better than the retro that was available in 1986. In fact I’m sure the retro back in the day had a basic black printed club badge.

This was our 100 year anniversary shirt 1886-1986 and the last time we wore Umbro.

I was at the game at Fir Park and he was superb. However, from a Motherwell perspective we shouldn’t forget that a certain Keith MacRae won the game for us in the away leg penalty shoot out. I’m sure Banks was looking on in awe of the young mans two penalty saves.

Our bubble needs to burst at some point and St Mirren’s fortunes will surely improve soon. However, hopefully not until we have scudded them 5-0 on Wednesday.

The official audio stream is not great either, it’s all a bit stop start. Difficult to listen to at times.

I believe the team we put out today would not win the championship. Do you think we would?

It showed that we are no better than a championship side. Do you still think there is a gulf in quality between a team like us and Ross County? Personally I can’t see it.

Nothing to fear? Difference in quality? Aye, Ross County had nothing to fear. And from where I was sitting there was a difference in quality between the two sides as Ross County wanted it more.

I’m not saying we won’t win it, I’ve predicted a 2-1 victory to the good guys. However, the championship is one of the hardest leagues in Scotland and despite a few bad results the are currently still top. I’m sure they would take that at the end of the season.

Fair point! Even the shirts I’ve helped design there were minor issues that annoyed me. However, for the past year or so I’ve been in contact with the guy that runs the Aztec Retro shirts site so I’m hopeful of some news on the Motherwell shirt front in 2019.
