  1. You can’t tell anything from a screen grab picture. Whilst we clearly didn’t play well today, context is everything.
  2. We sounded awful on the MFC radio broadcast. A lot of hard work to be done before the season starts in ernest.
  3. That can be the problem with social media as it provides people an instant platform to comment without thinking it through. And when a comment is targeted at a person in the public eye it can have far reaching effects for the accused and there employers (and like it or not as the manager of a Scottish Premiership club you are in the public eye). Of course to quote the boy, the allegations may be ‘bollocks’, however, only the people involved can say for certain. It’s never too late to investigate allegations and if Oldham have any shred credibility and compassion they should respond in private with the complainant to listen to his grievances. I believe Robinson should also be approached to share his versions of the events, if nothing else but to clear his name.
  4. The boy has left one final message on Twitter and he is clearly angry at Robinson. He claims the video prompted him to speak out.
  5. Also, unless he said it later, there was no mention of "I don't think you're good enough, I'm not planning on playing you” You could infer that was what Robinson meant, however, unless either of them say it, it’s just hearsay. The only direct quotes are from the boys twitter feed which are... Whatever, the truth, it’s overshadowed the meaning behind the video message. which is a great shame.
  6. It depends on how it was said. Was it done in a threatening manner, or was it done in a fatherly well meaning way? The boy seems to think that he was bullied. Unfortunately only him and Robinson will know the true intent of what was allegedly said.
  7. It’s a serious claim and I’m certain the tabloid press will have something to say about it whether it’s true or not.
  8. Good to see our continuation of the Suicide Prevention awareness sponsorship. However, it’s been soured a tad by footballer Danny Byrnes having a dig at Robinson for bullying him while he was at Oldham on the Twitter feed. He labelled the video as bollocks.
  9. This was the very reason why we changed from a predominantly blue kit to the claret and amber of Bradford City. Colour clashes were a nightmare and by wearing c&a it meant that a change was less likely to be required. Bradford City’s colours were unique in football but not in rugby. Indeed Bradford City borrowed their kit from the local rugby team before eventually getting their own kit. Prior to that the closest to c&a in the league was probably the Burton Swifts/United/Tranmere Rovers kit that was first worn 1885(Burton) 1889 (Tranmere). The shirts were registered as orange and maroon.
  10. Also worth noting that Montrose wore this same C&A kit from 1912-19 predating us by a year before switching to black and white and eventually settling on blue and white in 1938. Peebles Rovers also wore a variation of the kit in season 1922-23, however the amber section went straight across rather than in a curve.
  11. Summerlee Museum in Coatbridge has an original Motherwell C&A shirt on display (in use between 1913-24).
  12. Correct Weeyin, it’s a nod to their formation. A few teams have worn that C&A shirt (us included).
  13. The new Queen of the South claret and amber away. A homage to our first C&A kit.
  14. All I get is this message, looks dodgy.
  15. Better without it, however, it could be worse we could be Wycombe Wanderers. Time to get Brian McClair on board.
  16. I think he was 15, so not far out!
