  1. According to Tam Cowan his ‘lowlight‘ was when he tried to sue us for loss of earnings. Apart from that he clearly loved his time with the mighty Well.
  2. Good call! Come on Motherwell you know it makes sense.
  3. No reason why that can’t happen, Celtic have several hoops and still manage to stick a shirt number on the back for SPFL games. We have had a full hoop of sorts a few years ago so the powers at be know the score on the hoop front. Europe is a different beast as UEFA have different rules with regard to the backs of shirts. It’s still not unsurmountable even with their strict guidelines.
  4. Every few years I like to see what’s available from the basic online kit builder sites. The adidas one is quite intuitive to use and this is what would be possible for Joe Bloggs F.C. I have added the claret hoop which would be a sublimated option that would be available for professional teams. The ability to choose a claret and amber tracksuit is a nice touch. The nearest online colours they have are burgundy and gold which match claret and amber quite well, however, pro teams would be able to order their desired colour. It looks quite smart for what is essentially a basic amateur kit builder site.
  5. From what I can tell the new home kit looked good today in its first outing.
  6. Not good, I hope you sent it back and got a replacement or refund.
  7. A proper single bold claret hoop shirt as worn by Joe McBride.
  8. The new RC Lens shirt would have made for a real nice white away top. I’ve altered the colours slightly.
  9. The one plus point about having a betting dot com sponsor is that the kids shirts will be sponsor free. I’m not sure of the percentage, however, online betting companies are becoming more prevalent in shirt sponsorship. I’m unsure how Hearts managed to avoid it as the big sides usually get lured in by the money on offer. In the premier league alone we have dafabet, 32 Red, Marathon Bet and Bet Park. There is probably more, however, off the top of my head that’s all I can think of. Also lets not forget that the English Football League are sponsored by SkyBet.
  10. Garment transfer remover spray. If anyone fancies having a go with this stuff, let me know how it goes. Allegedly kills all betting dot com sponsors stone dead. I recommend that you try it on an old shirt first to see how it goes.
  11. It was unbranded, however, it was manufactured by Macron so the quality was fine. They basically helped them out when they were between contracts.
  12. Macron made Roma’s 2013/14 kit. It was unbadged as it was a temporary ‘in-house produced’ kit due to a dispute with their previous supplier. Macron have a habit of making kits that are a little bit fussy with odd shaped collars being one of their trademarks. Even on this Roma top they couldn’t resist adding that amber extension to what is essentially a simple winged collar.
  13. It’s primarily down to the Italian fashion sense. The perception is that they are more stylish in Rome than North Lanarkshire. To be fair their kit is always pretty well designed.
  14. I created this a while back (Although I added an amber hoop). It looks like we have based our new away on this Roma kit...
  15. You could argue that we don’t even need one. Livi can just wear their away kit when we play them.
  16. I wouldn’t be so sure as quite a few teams have already opted for a white away kit this season e.g. Hearts. The top will come in useful against them.
  17. Yes it would be a strange world if we all agreed on everything. However, before I even started the MFC 125 project I consulted with a few designers who are at the top of their game and highly respected within their field. I also contacted Umbro for some information about the original font. They all gave me positive feedback on the recreation and that’s all the encouragement I needed. Some people get it and some people don’t. Just the way of the world I suppose.
  18. You are missing the point. It was produced to replicate our first ever shirt badge, so using an existing font would have defeated its intended purpose. Also I don’t remember ever seeing a “J” with a crossbar. Now that would be odd. So how long have you been a typographer for?
