  1. New kits are “...definitely worth the wait” according to our marketing and commercial manager Suzanne Reid. Well she’s not going to say they are distinctly average and lacking in creativity.
  2. Or we could just paint it on like Ayr United do every year. How they get away with that I’ll never no.
  3. Nothing since Flow announced it would be on sale before the cup final. They will need players to model the kit, however, I suspect they are all off on there break. It could be a while yet unless Flow wants to model it from a fans perspective?
  4. New sponsors are always welcome and I see the Tullibardine whisky distillery have become our official whisky partner. Motherwell have agreed a two year deal. I wonder who’s going to be announced next?
  5. Tastes can change due to the amount of different designs being released every year from the various kit manufacturers. The one thing I would like to see would be a move back to Umbro (we haven’t had them since the mid 80s). However, as PSL are our kit middlemen I’m not entirely sure that is possible. A change of kit supplier can sometimes provide a much needed fresh outlook. It’s well known that I’m a traditionalist when it comes to our kit, although I do have sympathy with any fan who may want a change from our usual claret hoop/band design. I’m not sure how much influence Flow has on how our kit looks but I’ve always taken him to be a traditionalist especially with the home kit.
  6. As a retro fan I would love to see a one off return to black socks with C&A trim.
  7. Right now that all that cup final nonsense is out the way what are we all hoping our new season kits will look like? The kits have already been designed and are due to be released soon, however, here are a few questions that you might want to contemplate. Do you prefer loose or fitted shirts? A claret hoop/band or no claret hoop/band? What colour are you hoping the away kit will be? White? Claret? Black? Blue? Faux texture? Retro? Do you prefer sponsor free and sponsored replicas? Polo neck, crew neck or v-neck? Mainly white, claret or amber shorts? Plain or hooped socks? Should we revive our 1920s/30s/50s black socks? We won the 1952 Scottish Cup wearing black socks with C&A trims. Stitched badges or printed patches? C&A training gear or do you not really care? I’ve already posted two home and away mock ups using an existing Macron template. The template is important as we are still with Macron and they use different designs to other manufacturers. I also have a preference for claret and amber training gear, however, that appears to have fallen by the wayside of late.
  8. When we reach next years final we will need a break, and that break will be Celtic not being the opposition.
  9. I personally thought the rendition of Flower of Scotland was a tad embarrassing. The Celtic Palestine display was also cringe worthy as politics should be kept out of football. No doubt they will face a fine from the SFA.
  10. I can’t complain, our team cost £10,000 the same amount that most Celtic players are on a week. Despite a positive first half performance the game was lost in the first half. Smaller teams who win these cups normally do it against lesser sides, we have been a little unfortunate that in the two finals we have come up against the best and strongest financially in the league.
  11. I’m afraid not we wore the reverse of our home kit. I’ve always loved this top and would love to see it revived...
  12. Thanks for clarification Dave, however, I suspected it was all nonsense. You wonder where these unfounded rumours start?
  13. My uncle was a big traditional Scottish music fan and he bought me the single way back in 1969. I still have it, however, I don’t remember ever seeing us playing in the pictured all white kit. I went to every game, home and away so it must have happened at some point and I’ve blanked it from my memory.
  14. I meant to change that for you. What we really need is a time machine and someone who can draw a proper graphic representation of the Steelworks.
  15. You’ve nailed it. For what it’s worth I don’t believe we are changing it anyway. The current badge is on too many things around the stadium and to change that would cost money that frankly we don’t have.
  16. I can but pray. I don’t want it to be too radical, just a decent modernisation of our current club badge. We need to remember it was originally designed/drawn in the early 1980s. Motherwell are a forward looking club and that should be reflected in our club badge.
