  1. Thank god for that I thought I was going mad.
  2. I didn't realise PSL had an agreement with Hib's. Do they run the club shop?
  3. Hib’s are a bigger concern and yes individual contract terms will decide on what level of service a team gets. I think Provan Sports are still our kit design middle men (or has that changed?), whereas the likes of Hibernian will deal with Macron directly. I suspect that’s why Leanne Dempster was pictured outside Macrons Italian head office last year after finalising next seasons Hibernian kit. Lets be honest Motherwell will never be first in line for bespoke C&A training wear from any kit supplier. Consequently, I suspect the conversation with the Macron rep will have went something like this... “You can have any colour you want as long as it’s not bespoke” That usually means black, grey or blue. However, in the past we have had C&A training kit from the likes of Patrick, Umbro, Admiral etc... who have all provided this service. I do accept times have changed, however, as a kit fan I still get romantic over every last detail and that includes training kit. Will bespoke training wear make us play any better? No. Will it make us look smarter in the pre season squad pic and warm ups? I think yes. Does anyone care apart from me? Probably a very, very small few. Although I was heartened to hear our new media man cite the importance of consistency of our corporate colours throughout all our branding in the recent podcast. I can only dream that this will extend to training wear.
  4. I’ve campaigned for that for years. I very much doubt it will happen as unless you are a big club they usually just stick a badge onto an existing colour template. We had C&A training gear all through the 70s/80s/90s until they the manufacturers got lazy.
  5. The new AIK Stockholm away kit has adopted the retro two coloured chest hoop design. Available to buy without the shirt sponsor.
  6. Our casualty list is growing, however, hopefully come the final they will all be patched up and ready for battle.
  7. Jamie’s European 1994-95 matchworn shirt is available from Shirts of Excellence
  8. If I had my way we would wear a white away kit every season. In my opinion nothing beats a pure white kit with flashes of claret and amber. And as a bonus it looks great under the floodlights.
  9. Club Brugge had this away last season and it would look good in C&A A very rough mock up...
  10. Also worth noting the same steward would have done nothing if this had happened in a packed Rangers or Celtic end. They would have been allowed to keep on filming and welcomed onto the pitch at full time to record post match interviews.
  11. He took a right sore one and I wouldn’t be surprised if this was the case.
  12. Same here, I never buy present day kits. I just enjoy seeing them done well. Although I do still buy the odd retro top.
  13. You are right, however, there was only 26/27 fans watching not exactly Champions League rule breaking.
  14. I’m hoping for a full claret hoop home top and a maybe a white away kit. Macron away kits 2014-15 - Mainly white away top 2015-16 - Mainly claret away top 2016-17 - Mainly denim blue away. White special third top 2017-18 - Mainly black/grey away top 2018-19 - ?
  15. Impulse buys pre Cup Final can add a few more pennies into the coffers. I wonder what percentage we get from Provan Sports for each kit sold?
  16. The jobs worth steward told her to turn it off after about 33 minutes.
  17. We appear to have cottoned on to the money making potential of an early kit release.
  18. I see no reason why we won’t be wearing this seasons home kit. I expect Celtic will be wearing next seasons kit as they are unveiling it before the end of the season. It’s the sort of thing they do to boost sales.
  19. As a designer I’ve been harping on about brand guidelines for years and I’m glad they are eventually coming around to the importance of implementing this properly. Consistency of club colours and logos are a must. I recreated the original MFC script logo for our 125 celebrations and I’m happy to see it is still being used for certain media items. Prior to that they were using any old script font which regulars on here will know used to drive me crazy. I can now rest easy as long as the official club badge is finally applied to our kit in a consistent manner. Fingers crossed.
  20. Why would Celtic play the Republic of Ireland in a testimonial match? Nope can’t think of one non bigoted reason.
