St Mirren currently 1-0 ahead after a fumble from the Killie keeper. Lafferty is out through injury and that appears to have given Saints a pre match boost. Now 1-1. Now 2-1 Killie

No way were this current Motherwell side winning a cup, we are too inconsistent. Even if the offside goal had been chopped off there is no guarantee we would have went on to win this game. We ultimately lost because two of our players couldn’t score from 12 yards. For what it’s worth I believe Hibernian, St Johnstone and a Lafferty inspired Kilmarnock look far more capable than we currently do to win a trophy. Of the teams currently left in the competition I’m predicting a Hibernian v St Johnstone final. A St Johnstone double would mean that Callum Davidson has won more trophies in one season than Gerrard has in the three he’s been here. Considering the gulf in wealth that would be quite remarkable. I would go as far as to say he should be named manager of the year if he achieves it. Although the media will probably still give it to Gerrard.

I’m going for a St Johnstone cup double.

As a fan owned club ‘serious investment’ ain’t going to happen. If by investment you mean financial, those days have long gone. We are what we are and survival is our main aim every season. Anything else is a bonus.

To rub salt into the wounds, St Johnstone will knock Rangers out leaving the cup wide open.

I’m glad I haven’t paid for this as we’ve been poor. We are still in it and Cole should have scored with his one on one. Lose another and it’s over.

A combination of Hesgoal and Radio Scotland for me as I refuse to give Premier Sports any money.

He apparently is very versatile and can play in other positions.

For what it’s worth I heard from Jason Naismith’s dad that Motherwell have made inquiries about him. He is out of contract with Ross County at the end of the season. Jason is apparently good mates with Mark O’Hara.

We are currently in a shit Hamilton teams back pocket, sadly I haven’t seen anything in recent games that will change that run. Hamilton four from four and 4-0 Accies.

I wonder how much Kyle Lafferty is earning at Killie? He’s proven in his short time in Ayrshire that he can still bang the goals in for a team that’s currently having a worse season than us. He’s the type of striker we are missing and in his short spell has banged in more goals in two months than most of our strikers have all season. A missed opportunity?

Sorry to hear that mate, fingers crossed you get the treatment you need and it results in a positive outcome for you. I was diagnosed with a genetic blood condition at the start of lockdown and I’m only now starting to get seen at the hospital. Covid has been a bastard for getting access to regular medical treatment. There is no cure for what I’ve got, however, they can at least keep it under control with continuous blood checks.

Sadly we aren’t good enough to win a one horse race. I’m predicting we are going no further in this competition, especially if we play like we did tonight. Take the next round money and run, and let’s see what next season brings. Especially as I’d like to be there if we win another trophy, not watching it online.
