  1. Due to work I’m missing this game as well. However, I’m hoping for a repeat performance against the Dons. 3-0 to the Well.
  2. With Celtic cruising against Dundee in tonights QF there is a good chance if we make the semi we will need to beat one of the old firm to reach the final. Or do we hope for a Hib’s semi and take our chances in the final against one of the bigot brothers?
  3. I’m working so I won’t make the game. Aberdeen are a strong side, however, on our day we can spring an upset. If Moult has his shooting boots on we might just sneak this one 2-1. Mon the Well!
  4. RIP Paul. He scored against us in this 2-0 defeat to Celtic. former Motherwell striker Dixie Deans scored the other one.
  5. I'm hopeful of taking all three points, without being too cocky. A narrow 2-1 win for the good guys.
  6. Or perhaps just order a take away to their hotel room. Although they would need to film it or it didn’t happen.
  7. Watching Sportscene and Michael O’Halloran would have been a great addition to our attack. The boy looks sharp and will no doubt score a good few goals for saints.
  8. Bowman is never a striker in a million years, however, he gave County the runaround when he came on and that’s why he got my vote.
  9. The first half was dreadful and there was only going to be one outcome if it was repeated in the second. The introduction of Bowman changed the game and his strength gave County lots of problem. Still can’t complain about the three points.
  10. If what has been reported in the media is true we need to get rid of Moult asap to try and make some money on the boy. I was expecting him to sign a short extension to his current deal, however, it looks like he’ll be another bargain buy for a bigger club. Not a lot we can do I’m afraid.
  11. County will be out for revenge for the cup defeat. I’m not as confident as some of a victory tomorrow as in my opinion our defence at times looks as fragile as last season. I’m predicting a hard fought 2-2 draw.
  12. Great result for the Wee Well.
  13. I think when possible we should try and support the young Well as the big team don’t do cups.
  14. TV clearly showed Thomson on his mic asking his linesman whether the ball was in or outside the line. This was highlighted on Sportscene last night from a camera view behind the goal. The linesman got it spot on. Should it have been a red? probably not. However, Carson should have booted the ball into row Z.
  15. Yip as I suspected Carson handled outside the box as his standing foot was in front of the line when he initially touched the ball. Dunne’s red card will be rescinded and if there is any justice the St. Johnstone boy should be punished for diving.
  16. Not fully in his grasp, however, the ball appears to brush against his gloves. It’s a marginal decision and certainly one that the ref can’t possibly see. It must have been the linesman that prompted him to make the call. We need to appeal, if for nothing else to hear who made the decision.
  17. Back to the Carson incident, having watched it several times it was definitely just outside the box when he picked it up (millimetres!). However, there was no way the ref could have spotted that as he was too far away, the decision must have come from the linesman. If he did it was a good spot, as even after countless pauses on the video it’s not easy to see. What baffles me is why didn’t Carson not attempt to play it with his foot rather than risk picking it up?
  18. We have been this way for a few years. Early days for this new group of players, however, we will need to wise up quickly or we could easily get cut adrift. Suspensions and injuries won’t help the cause either.
  19. I paused it as well and part of the ball may just have been on the line, however, it’s very difficult to say for certain. Shite quality (phone pic off the telly), however. this is the lead up and the point where Carson picked it up.
