  1. It was old school Umbro from circa 1959. It would need to be brought up to date, however, you can see just how unique it was from this...
  2. Not much, just one comment from a Plymouth fan in the local press... ”This is sad. The best of luck to him but from an Argyle point of view such a shame. I can't remember seeing him give anything less than 100% for us. I'm sure we'll all miss him. Motherwell signed a good'n!“
  3. To me our late 50s/60s white away will always be associated with the legendary Ian St. John. A unique design that I have never seen any other side adopt. The C&A sleeve hoops were particularly novel. A sponsor free modern version would look superb under the floodlights.
  4. I did a quick mock up based on two of the more recent adidas kit templates. Looks pretty smart to me.
  5. He looks the part, however, I never like to judge players on one sided You Tube montages. I would much prefer to see a mix of errors and good saves to get a more balanced viewpoint. Even the legendary goal machine looked good on You Tube. Seeing players weaknesses can be just as important as their strengths.
  6. The Dumbarton have always tried to be true to their signature look. Some of their 70s kits are design classics.
  7. I posted this very quick mock up in the football kit thread to demonstrate how this Macron collar would look in C&A. It could work well on either a home or away shirt.
  8. So any clues as to which Macron template we are getting for our kits this season? In the three years they have been supplying our home kit we have had a crewneck style collar 2014-15. In 2016-17 we had a V neck collar and last season we had a polo style. We normally like to switch it around, so I suspect we might revisit the crewneck look. If we do I wouldn’t be too upset if we used the same collar as the new Stoke City home top.
  9. Two positive signings, I’m looking forward to seeing who’s next.
  10. Interesting to see Scott talk about Skippy Sunday game on the BBC site.
  11. Our 70s Umbro away top looked a bit like this mock up...
  12. The design was a 1970s classic designed by Umbro. It’s surely due a modern day revival similar to the Roma away you have linked.
  13. We should never mess too much with the home top. I prefer a proper hoop combined with a classy design. The ones that haven’t worked so well recently have been the ones that have been a bit fussy and over complicated the design. The away is for experimentation and no matter what the decide on it will split opinions. I am also in the white away camp, however, the one we had this year was not one of my favourites. The 91 success has been over done in my opinion and only shines a beacon on how long we have went with silverware. I can’t say I was overly keen on the denim away shirt either, although I praise them for trying something different.
  14. He has had a fall out at Rangers, and I don’t see any way back for him under the current manager. However, if the move wasn’t permanent then it would be foolish to agree to a loan situation.
  15. He never said, however, I assumed it was permanent.
  16. My neighbour works for SNS and he has told me that Rangers have offered £200,000 + Michael O'Halloran for Louis Moult.
  17. I’m not sure of the context, however, it produced this picture of the man.
  18. McGhee was shit at targeting/recruiting players. Robinson will need to be better than this if we have any hope of avoiding a bottom six scrap next season. There is also no place for sentiment at this club and a few of the older players and the younger ones who don’t look as if they can make the grade will need to be moved on to Partick Thistle.
  19. If any decent offer comes in I suspect we will bite the buyers hand off. However, if he does go I would prefer he went down South rather than to another Scottish club.
  20. About 4 years ago I mocked up a kit with tartan collar/hoop. This was the result...
  21. I reckon it would look too much like a Bay City Rollers shirt.
  22. The County tartan top was produced just for them. It’s the one thing Macron are good at is adding bespoke touches to an existing template. Without these bespoke additions our home kit would rarely have the claret band/hoop.
  23. I assume we are. Their designs have been reasonably good for us, and with a few minor tweaks they could be excellent. I’m sure PSL still broker our kit deals and they will be the ones fully in the know.
