I would like to think that we can keep moving on up the league after the positive result at the weekend. However, this is Motherwell and we are up and down like a brides nightie. Although, I still reckon we can get an away win and I will go for 2-1 to the good guys. -

Sack the board, sack the board, sack the board! I approve of our first victory under the new owners. -
Given this weeks announcement that’s surely that’s a no brainer. I would be shocked if there wasn’t one.

In that case you need to present your facts. -

I have no doubt Brill is an okay keeper, however, it would only take the odd ‘clanger’ for folk to get on his back as well. Samson appears to have become a scapegoat for some, however, there are more than just him not performing at this present time. The penalty aside, Samson did enough in the Celtic game to convince me that he deserves his place. In recent years we have been spoilt for choice in the goalkeeping department (Ruddy, Randolph etc). However, we are an average SPFL side and we can’t expect that level of quality every season. We just need to get on with it and work together as a team to give our keeper more protection. Even the best keeper in the world would eventually come unstuck with the standard of player that we have at this present time. -

I think you are getting too fixated on Samson. As far as I can tell there is no evidence to suggest that Brill is any better than him. As I said previously, in my opinion Samson and Brill are both average SPFL keepers. Making an assessment of a keeper in a u20s game where he hasn’t been tested reveals nothing. -
If performances and results don't start improving soon our home support will continue to slide. There was around 3000 fans at the midweek game and I suspect that won’t alter much against Ross County. I think we need to accept that apart from the odd occasion our average number of home fans will be around 3000 (plus or minus 200). However, if we can turn it around on the park, we can hopefully increase that number to nearer 3500/3800.

I'm curious, what evidence are you basing this on? To my knowledge he has had no starts this season. As a Motherwell fan I wasn't a regular at Inverness games, however, if you were I will accept your assessment of Brill. An average keeper who prevented us from being humiliated by Celtic the other week. And before you mention the penalty, McManus (?) was just as culpable as Samson. Again what evidence are you basing this on? Keepers make mistakes, players make mistakes. It’s just a fact that when a keeper makes a mistake, there is a strong chance that it will result in a goal. Celtic keeper Craig Gordon is just as likely to make a mistake as Samson, however, he gets paid ten times as much. In my opinion Samson and Brill are both average SPL keepers. I can base this on the fact that If they weren’t, they wouldn’t be playing for us. -

Yeah because that is exactly what we need. You would only be replacing like for like. -

Play like we did last night and I can’t see us taking anything from this game. 2-0 Ross County. The team leaves the field to loud boos from the 2900 crowd. -
10 games in, what’s peoples assessment of McGhee’s season so far? Personally I think he has a lot of work to do to get this team looking anywhere near top six contenders. If we continue to perform like we have of late a basement battle beckons.

Me, for managing to sit through the full 90 minutes.

The shirt would have looked much better in true amber, rather than the luminous light yellow that we were fobbed off with. The history of that is well known, however, it is what it is. Happily, that won’t happen again as we seem to now have a firm grasp of our corporate colours. All we need now is to get a grasp of how to stitch a proper club badge on to a shirt and we will be fine.
-
I received my shirt today and the quality is fine. The colour is the same ‘light yellow’ of the original. Adidas substituted yellow for amber, due to the fact we were supplied bastardised yellow Forest away shirts. The stitching detail is not 100% the same as the original. However, the average punter is never going to notice this. It’s certainly the closest you will get to the original shirt as legit companies do not have the rights to use the adidas branding (Toffs, Score Draw). And adidas will never produce a replica of this shirt.

Andy Harrow gives his verdict.

Your probably right, however, adidas have previous... https://www.satra.co.uk/bulletin/article_view.php?id=1649 http://www.trademarkandcopyrightlawblog.com/2016/03/adidas-to-trademark-competitors-two-stripes-youre-out/ http://footwearnews.com/2016/focus/athletic-outdoor/adidas-ecco-lawsuit-three-stripe-copyright-infringement-214443/

They are not only breaking the shirt makers copyright, they are also breaking the clubs copyright. They manufacture copies of rare Man Utd, Liverpool, Barcelona tops and happily stitch a copyrighted club badge onto the shirt. A club with the legal muscle of Man Utd, Barcelona could probably shut them down (or at least try to). I’m no legal expert, however, Retro Shirt City who sell these copies are based in the UK. Although, to my knowledge they don’t handle any of the stock which comes to us the buyer direct from Thailand. So in theory their hands are clean, however, they are making a good living from being a broker. A recent Rangers ‘Umbro’ shirt which they released on their site, sold out within the day.
-
Yes they blatantly rip off Umbro, adidas, Admiral, Le Coq Sportif. Basically every major/minor 80s shirt maker. I personally can’t see how they can avoid being shut down.

I agree, the boys did good.

Yip same here.
