And reckoning right would be....
-
Gie the guy a break it obvious he making a guess from not the best position in the ground. I no idea how many we took, believe we sold out what we had, 500/600?
-
I suspect many people might have had to make the decision to pick and choose and for most people the excitement of somewhere new in the cup probably holds greater appeal than overpriced league games. I was at Accies but don't blame a soul for choosing to not go under circumstances, even if it is just so they can afford a jolly to a cup tie.

Come on £22 just before christmas with game live on telly!
-
It been pointed out before but 19% of the population of Motherwell doesn't watch the team. Add in Wishaw and Bellshill as two not much smaller towns that we also draw a fair bit of support from. We draw support from a fair whack of Lanarkshire.

SA I think are quite entitled to a cut. That said 100 out of 500 probably a bit much. I imagine many regulars on SA buses also have seasons and could take advantage of snapping up tickets via their season and SA membership. But what ya gonna do, however it dished out people will be disappointed and end of the day it 500 Well fans that will be ending up with the tickets good luck to them however they got them.

This thread seems a wee bit out of date, yeah valid enough point in itself re McGarry being played out of position but we changed it for Inverness and looking to saturday I'd be hoping to see the same starting XI from Inverness game.

What the fuck is the point of this post! Is anyone from the trust making out to be heroes? I happen to agree that the trust does seem a bit pointless at times but if you have specific issues with them why not make them more clear rather than just mouthing off random rubbish. You did kinda manage that in previous post albeit you come across as aggressive and slightly paranoid sounding.

Rotten album, John Squire is a legend but for bugger all he did post Stone Roses!

After saturday I feeling a lot more optimistic that we can push on for top 6. If Porter goes we need someone of similar mopuld to give Sutton competition. Other than that between current Porter, Sutton, Clarkson, Murphy, O'Brien, D Smith and with McHugh getting flung on he might be in McGhee's thinking I think we got what need up front barring McGhee unearthing some gem of a player that would be a real stand out. Midfield wise it maybe a bit early to consider Klimpl a shoe in regular starter but think between him, Hughes, Fitz, Lasley, McGarry can make for decent midfield 3 combos. I'd like to see Malcolm off the wage bill though and maybe some else come in if we can add someone with a bit of guile or who could carry a goal threat. At the back, well I think on their day Quinn, Craigan, Reynolds, Hammell can make a decent unit but feel it is our weakest area at least re cover. We all want an imposing centre half and very least a bit more competition for Hammell. Happy enough with our goalie, but indeed if that polish lad formerly of Utd was in our price range I'd get rid of the faroese boy on loan and give Smith both competition and incentive to decide his future one way or other.

I thought both were pens but both were pretty soft. Craigans the more blatant on the replay so not overly upset but Richmond was generally abysmal throughtout.
-
He did well today, definately to much of a bombscare at the back but a combative presence in the middle of park with reasonable ability on ball and able to do the simple things could well be a useful guy to have.
-
Porter, ok so his hattrick was like 3 unmarked headers but it be churlish to be picky. He there amongdt other things to put it in the pokey and he did it with aplomb. Clarkson and O'Brien were contenders and thought Hughes and Hammell had easily best games of the season so far. ICT are pish mind you, but can only beat what in front of you.
-
Whole team was pretty good today and yes a lot of O'Briens crosses weren't the best but credit where credit due the guy worked his socks off and showed plenty of good things, ability to beat a man and pace. Ideally suited to way we play, hope he gets a run in the team and hopefully he can work on that final ball. I like McGarry but he showed a lot more than McGarry has for some time.

That be the tightfistedness that sanctioned double your money contracts to McGhee and Leitch? Granted I don't think Boyle is opening his own purse strings unless he thinks he'll get a return and I'd love some half sane Well fan to win £100m on the euromillions(ideally me) and buy up the club and try and take us forward with just a little ambition. But is it not shorsighted at a club with limited resources to see such a whack taken out of your budget to line your own pockets with? Diverted into the playing side and keeping us at least in/close to the pack in the european hunt would far better to advance his long term career prospects.

Team I want to see.... Smith Quinn Craigan Reynolds Hammell Lasley Hughes Fitzpatrick Clarkson Porter Murphy Longer term I might give Reynolds a go at left back or in midfield. But for what it worth that back four is the one that played together most and should be able to do us a job at least short term for all its flaws. I definatley think Hammell is capable but needs a rocket up his backside and if more isn't forthcoming very soon I'd love to see JP or Lappin back to replace him. Lappin would be a good signing all round but probably not going to happen. I know the 4-3-3 doesn't have the surprise factor of last season and without McCormack we are missing a player with a bit of real class who even on a off day takes up the thoughts of the oppositions defenders. That said in Murphy we have someone I think can play that sort of role. Also if we are to get some use from them so could Darren Smith and O'Brien. Neither of whom have really staked a solid claim but are in theory the right kind of player. Would like to see a big centre half come in, someone in mould of Marvin Andrews or a Rob Jones if such a player can be found on our budget. Another body in midfield be ideal as Fitpatrick will do a job but lacks confidence and a section of crowd always wants to get on his back. squad we have for all its flaws should be doing enough to get us out of trouble but I have my doubts under current leadership. maybe a couple of fresh faces will give everyone a lift, just hope there is money in the budget.

Thought he was a bombscare yesterday but given he been out injured for months and had 60 minutes in reserves before being flung into first team I not expecting to much. Not sure we can afford to give him a run, but Quinn about the only fit alternative managed to get sent off twice this season already i not sure he give me anymore confidence in our shaky backline.

There are a whole load of reasons that would take all day to go into in detail with but we have a manager who in my opinion has lost the drive and enthusiasm he had for the job. This seems to be reflected in the body language of the players. We were for large parts the better team yesterday, but we lacking confidence and bombscare at the back. Any ball humped towards our backline had us looking very creaky. I have no idea why Murphy got hooked, he without setting the game alight was playing ok and looked capable of doing a job in that sort of advanced wide position. Been said by a load of people but Sutton and Porter isn't working. Ideally with everyone available we have Clarkson and Murphy playing off one or the other, probably Porter. O'Brien, Smith and Sutton being the back up to these three to keep them om their toes. We just don't have the wide midfield players to play a 4-4-2, McGhee needs to get back to the fluid 4-3-3. By all means get someone like Lappin in if possible to allow us be more flexible and maybe play 4-4-2 but we only hurting ourselves recently by trying to stick square pegs into round holes. Also the defence, best teams are built from the back. Last season we had one big flaw, weakness at set pieces but otherwise a fairly solid unit. We certainly not went forward. Hammell isn't a patch on Paterson defending or going forward. For all his limitations we missing Craigan. Reynolds isn't really a centre back in my mind and been exposed enough times that I hope the manager sees his future elsewhere and Quinn not been as effective either. Add to this Klimpl who was a bombscare yesterday but fired into team after been injured for months and a 17 year old who not disgraced himself by any means, but it a high pressure time to be blooding a youngster over the next few games. I want McGhee to go, not because I think he is a poor manager or that someone better is waiting but you could have the best manager in the world but if he not interested then you not getting the benefit. Boyle should never have caved and doubled the management teams wages, there went a huge chunk of the budget. No wonder we struggled to add to the squad. We have missed a big opportunity this season and I can't help thinking it wouldn't have happened if we had a manager whose mind was 100% on the job at hand.

It barely plausible to suggest it a simple typo, I'm presuming Flow meant Now and not err Not, but come on man there 2 keys in between those letters. Shocking stuff!

I lent my season ticket to a mate and played 5's instead. Watched bit of the first half on the telly but glad am I of the choice I made. Hope Santa is good to me as it looking like a grim christmas/new year doon Fir park way!

Whilst what you say is not entirely untrue, how can you justify the crap that has been served up so soon after the success of last season? Should we just accept heartless rubbish, seeming complete lack of planning, tactical inepitude and go merrily on our way because it is our lot in life. We'll never be giants and like most scottish clubs success will always likely be fleeting but.... ...I tell you now, from the most blindly optimistic to the most blindly pessimistic Well fan not one would have thought that we'd walk it to 3rd place easy or split the old firm this year, but likewise neither would have thought we'd slip so quickly back into relegation fodder. In terms of silverware if we pick up anything again in my lifetime I'll be quite happy, I'm quite realistic as to what we can hope or expect to achieve. But McGhee seemed to have a magic want with his success last year and whilst keeping that level going might be hard hard going I don't think we should accpet a team that can barely string two passes together and canny beat a Killie struggling with both form and injuries themselves at home. So this isn't just moaning Well fans, this is diabolical pish and it needs addressed quickly.

I never forgotten how goodthat goal was! I kinda agree with Mitch, think it best just to remember Phil in private but that just my opinion.

Forecast for what it worth says it might dip to approx 0 degrees on monday at coldest, but it to be milder than of late between now and then. If we got any pitch protection or part functionality of USH then game should be in no danger. If it ends up being off, we are lying through our teeth about the USH. Which I reckon we are but still thinl weather should be mild enough to get this game on.
