Hutchy is injured and had been previously as well made comeback about a month ago played a few games then got injured in their cup tie before Bristol rovers game.I went to that and got chatting to a millwall fan who goes to every game and he confirmed never dropped just injury prone sounds like Lucas lol

To me that proves why our football is in dire straights at the moment .its a bit of coincidence McGhee gets charged for having a go at a ref who made biggest blunder of the season and at same time same ref gets awarded a cup final .As cup finals are awarded on merit it shows how incompetent the ruling bodies are and at same time they are saying to McGhee f..k you wonder what will be said if he makes as big a howler in cup final .

Wound be surprised if back before winter break for McHugh but you never know depends how long it takes to get up to fitness as done nothing for 3 months.

Don't understand Tweed you say Beaton was right to overturn linesmans decision of corner as he was right to do so ,so what's the difference with goal as once again he thought it was in so why not over rule again or was it because one was in favour of Motherwell and 1 wasn't .

Scott McDonald says in paper today Beaton told him at half time he thought it was in and as he was only 20 yards away looking unobstructed straight at it why not give goal. He overruled linesman in cup quarter final from 40 yards away because he thought Sutton was offside even though linesman said he wasn't and TV pictures proved he wasn't just seems very strange he only over rules his assistants to the detriment of Motherwell never the other way round. I have felt this way about Beaton for 3 years now and every game makes it grow even more as I honestly feel he has an agenda against Motherwell and never felt that about any other referee in my 45 yrs of watching Motherwell .I must admit I have been shot down constantly when I say this but how many decisions does he have to get blatantly wrong against us before somebody agrees because they are mounting and mounting .

I understand what your saying and have no problem with that' thought process as you should never think any ref is out to get you but for me I honestly feel Beaton is and every time we get him he makes it worse. I actually was thinking of going yesterday but when I seen he was referee I decided day in pub better for my blood pressure and that to me says it all. Collum and Thompson make many bad decisions but as I said some go in your favour some don't but with Beaton none go on our favour it's a shame I feel this way but can't help it and because of that u remember every bad decision he gives .As a final word on subject I did say my feelings on him before game so at least I'm consistent on the matter .

Super superward but I have to disagree when Beaton is concerned and lots of proof .Most Scottish refs are poor but IMO make mistakes both ways with Beaton I have never even seen a 50/50 go our way he giver me the fear of death when we get him . Some examples below 1. Invisible penalty against Aberdeen 2nd 1 in match to this day nobody knows why given even sportscene couldn't even come up with reason possibly given. 2.Disallowed Sutton goal 1st minute in league cup quarter final over ruled linesman who was in line he was 40 yards away told McCall he would apologise if wrong TV proved he was goal was onside did he apologise no he didn't as McCall mentioned it months later when he was ref in another 1 of our games. 3. Last minute penalty for Dundee last season never a penalty . 4. Non goal yesterday when 20 yards away looking straight at it never over ruled linesman this time . So u call it paranoia I don't I expect a dodgy decision every time we get him and he normally obliges unfortunately in 45 years of watching Motherwell I have never thought this of any other referee and to me that's a terrible way to feel. We have had many a decision go against us over the years and had some in our favour as well of course but never when Beaton in charge .I know I will be shot down in flames for this but would love it if he never got a Motherwell game again which won't happen if course .Rant Over

The 1 guarantee with John Beaton is we will get a dodgy decision against us just typical SPFL he gives Dundee a dodgy last minute penalty last year and what to they do sent him back to Dundee so he can give them another 1. I wish I could work out why this man is so anti Motherwell growing up in Fir Park Street did someone smash his window or something because by god he hates us .

I knew we would have a decision against us as Beaton ref hope it wasn't Mullaley again as that would be 2 skippy goals disallowed wrongly at least that's it out the road so let's keep going and get a 2 1 win fee up with Beaton never known a ref to hate us so much and can't believe that's twice in Dundee he's shafted us

Will need to score twice at least to win this 1 if Dundee convert penalty they get awarded by John Beaton as that's normal practice for him in Motherwell games. From memory had him once this season penalty given 3 times last season 2 given and only game I remember from previous season was Aberdeen when 2 given so in the 5 games I remember 5 pens given against us Finally just to rub it in assistant is Mulvanney who disallowed skippy,s goal at Firhill so will need to play well to win this 1 .For some reason I have great memory of decisions against us but can't remember what I ate last night lol .

Shocking performance I'm afraid and can't believe way team set up with top scorer on wing and scoreless striker through middle . Now I an niot going to pick on youngsters for abusive but for me McLean was not in game at all and yet McGhee left him on for 76 minutes which says more about a stubborn manager than a young kid against most physical team in league . Don't know how we can sort this but team formation these days is a shambles so we need to get a shape that suits team and as an experienced manager can't believe McGhee is setting team up wrongly most weeks since Johnston left we have been clueless.

The reason I said thought crowd influenced him was because flag only went up after ball hit back of net and as he was in perfect position couldn't understand how he could get it so wrong would not be the 1st time a top ref been swayed by crowd reaction . Maybe it was just a glaring error and as will never know one way or the other will just move on and hope we start getting the rub of the green next few games as will certainly need it with the games coming up .

Never meant it to sound like the fact he came from mossend had anything to do with decision just that thought I could remember article in Motherwell times years ago saying local man would be competing in top league as an assistant referee so googled it and it was him .

The assistant referee who disallowed blatant goal is very experienced as also on FIFA panel of assistant referees so very disappointing and not that it should matter but also a local as comes from mossend.
