  1. Anyone know what channel this is on? I believe bbc sports 1? But can't see it on my tv listings
  2. Player at the club, don't worry it's happening
  3. Faddy is signing people, don't panic!
  4. still has his house in thorntonhall, but he defo wont be returning in the summer sadly!. millwall looks likely at the moment for him
  5. The return of higginbottom and faddy and I would start to feel more confident about next season. Still feel we need another winger and forward at least to add to any other positions we are keen to fill
  6. There's been a number of clubs in for our players and interested in them over the last year and a half in particular, I know that for sure, they don't make offers though because we are known for sitting back and letting players contracts run down, so those who do make an offer do it in jan are more likely to do it when there's only 6 months left on their contract.
  7. Not really sure why you posted that mate, simple point I'm making is it would be nice to think the club were a little more proactive in extending contracts at the right time or moving players on if they have 6 months/1year left and have no intention of resigning! Appreciate that sometimes keeping players can help us move up the league, but it's frustrating over the last few years to watch good players walk away for nowt, surely we can be sticking players on 1 yr extensions with the understanding that if a club moves in and they fancy it, then we will let them go, bit of protection for both parties and what's better is we won't even need to hypnotize them
  8. Club not offering contracts to players at all, higgy should have been offered one before end of jan, was in his contract according to his agent and still ain't been offered one. Reckon another player will be sold and think it will be Randolph- think we are going to see a bit of a restructure in the summer. Disappointed at the club in the respect that if sold our squad of players could have brought in quite a few quid. Especially when as highlighted earlier players that have hardly kicked a ball for first teams are being sold for 300-400k ie Allan of hibs or Fraser of aberdeen
  9. I have every faith we will see faddy play for us this season! I believe!
  10. ex charlton winger on trial this week, can't mind his name though. possible loan return of Jim o Brien in the offing as well
  11. Good shout, I'd consider him especially the fact he can play a couple of positions
  12. Porter allegedly has tried to fix a move back to the club only to be rejected due to lack of funds! I know he has been spoke of as a shout but heard it from a player tonight who is still friendly with him and he is defo keen to return! Shame, him and higdon along with murph would be a fantastic threat going forward!
  13. I filled in the forms to pay for my season ticket 6 weeks ago, still no payment taken! Have called twice to see what the script is been told they will call me back and had nothing! Starting to wonder if they actually want my custom!
  14. thanks mwellhighland, support is greatly appreciated
  15. Hi Folks I wrote on the old site a few months ago about a trek in which myself and 11 other friends and former team mates of phil's were embarking on in May in his memory. With only a week and a half to go I thought I would give fellow well fans a wee update on our challenge and our fundraising. The idea to do something in phil's memory came about through casual conversation between some of the guys, and in a very short space of time we found ourselfs registering to take on the challenge of climbing cotopaxi, one of the highest active volcanoes in the world. Prior to taking on the big challenge of cotopaxi itself which stands approx 19000ft high we embark on warming up with 4 other active volcanoes standing on average approx 4,000ft high each, no easy task but it is one in which we hope will help us raise £100,000 for the British Heart foundation . We have held various fundraisers to date and I am delighted to report that we have raised nearly £50,000 on our just giving page with further donations now coming in taking us to just over £70,000 . The cotopaxi 12 have been very greatfully supported by past and present motherwell playing staff, back room team and by Leeanne dempster and her team at the club and we would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all fans and staff at Motherwell FC for their continued support. We have been been very fortunate to have had great support in attendance at our events such as the tribute to phil dinner at the thistle hotel in march and our question of sport evening in January and have quite a few more ideas for events scheduled for the rest of the year which we will keep all well fans in the loop about in the hope of smashing the £100,000 target. The SFA have also been supportive in showing initial support for our cause at the cup final with bucket collections taking place around the ground prior to kick off. Personally speaking I would love for the final to be known as the Phil O donnell final just like the cooper final a few years ago, a sentiment i seen at the weekend which was shared by Ally Maxwell. Personally speaking as a well fan I am gutted to be missing the final due to being halfway up a volcano but it is an honour and a priviledge to be doing it in phils memory. I wanted to take the time to update you all on how our efforts were progressing and in the hope that you will dig deep come cup final day for the collection buckets with all funds raised going direct to the British Heart Foundation. We have also set up some simple ways of supporting us and in sponsoring our trekkers which include ex players willie kinniburgh and Jim paterson at www.justgiving.com/tributetophil . We have also set up a text donate service, by texting phil to 70007 you will be donating £3 to the target and every penny is greatly appreciated by us all. For more details on the trek, who is involved and how our fundraising is progressing please visit www.tributetophil.com In the meantime thanks for reading, and here's hoping I have another reason to celebrate coming down cotopaxi with a well win on the 21st May. mon the well!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. not what I was told, but it wouldn't be the first time a contrasting story appeared on this board
  17. The 3rd one was clarky. firmly believe in Mccall and sympathise with him as some of the guys he had earmarked were top players. have every faith he will do well in the summer, and hope to see plenty of youngsters coming through from now until the end of the season. One of the things that everyone loved about gannon was he gave youth a chance, mccall will albeit slightly forced to, no doubt do the same which I think is a good thing for the long term progress of the club and in attracting young players in the future
  18. the truth to the charlembous situation is that he is allegedy a horrendous football player, and no one at the club knows why he was signed in the first place!
  19. he's signed with stirling albion, knew it was wherever jocky scott had taken over
  20. There's somthing in the clarky rumour, altho i can't get anything on the porter one. I agree think iwelumo would be fantastic, fits the mould of the big strong centre forward that mccall was sayinghe wanted when he first came here
  21. clarky- yes!!!!!!!!!!, porter- yes!, iwelumo- aye would defo take him invincible- not a chance, no thank you
  22. u mean michael stewart?, michael fraser returning would scare a few folk on this site
  23. 2 young players off to partick thistle on loan
  24. trafficlight- top man thats fantasic, thank you kylie- no its £75 per head for the dinner and £700 per table working on some top entertainment acts for this event, with a lot of scottish footballs past and present being in attendance
