What happened to the £30m he was going on about pre takeover. This could get even more funnier! I have to admit I enjoy these threads every transfer window. The whole stories like I know a taxi driver who had him in a taxi/my wife works with his dog walkers mum/I heard from a guy at fir park who makes the coffee for the guy that makes the tea and such like. There's no football on so it keeps me entertained. There's no harm IMO in us speculating on players coming and going.

I always feel when we release a a strip in mid July we are missing a trick. I'm not saying people won't buy them however there maybe a few folk who would maybe buy one for going away on holiday etc but with it being released so late on this year some may decide against it

Would love a trip to Elland road for a pre season game, possibly as part of the Erwin deal??? , it's a nice dream
-
However it was against their beloved Rangers so I fully expect us to get a hefty fine for this one.

Just had a listen to the Sportsound podcast from last night. Chic Young is hurting big time therefore was spouting more nonsense than usual, I thought Tom English seemed to contradict himself at times but I thought Ferguson, surprisingly, gave the most balanced and accurate view on things. I thought Flow spoke very well, said the right things, without getting involved in anything which could have been deemed controversial. On that note I would like to congratulate Flow on the job he does done, especially in the past week or so. I for one doubted his ability to be GM, the main reason being I know him very well and I know how much the club means to him having used to speak to him and travel to games with in the past. This I thought would make it difficult for him to make tough decisions. However I can't fault anything he has done so far. The way he stuck up for the club with the ticketing allocation was first class. He didn't allow us to be bullied into giving them more tickets and that was wonderful to see. I also think that the decision with the allocation and the whole media circus and "outrage" that followed sort of galvanised everyone at the club and we stood together, and the players went out and done the business on the park.

Fraser Kerr!! Best bit of defending he's done all season
-
Totally agree! The man, along with players of course, has given me 2 of the best days I've had as a well fan. For that alone, in my opinion, he deserves a full pre season to put the finishing touches to what is already a decent base of a team

The Rangers V Motherwell Spfl Playoff Final 28/05/15

As previous posts have said I really do hope the club aren't bowing to the demands of this horrible club. If they are refusing to budge on our allocation then I'd cut there's. This is why I didn't understand the club brandishing about the 4800 figure for away fans figure before we even knew our opponents. This should have been kept quiet until negotiations had started with sevco. Give them 950 of whatever they give us. And I don't buy into the theory that it will hurt us financially either. This is a game we wouldn't have budgeted for. It's also a game that we wanted to allow season ticket holders in for free. So in that sense you around 3000(just a guess) paying customers that we didn't expect to have, throw in the 950 away fans and it's not that much of a difference. Also less away fans means less stewarding and policing. -
Rangers supporting mate just said it's all over one of the h*n forums that they have already been buying up tickets for the well end. Apparently a few got tickets today with no questions asked whatsoever. Not overly surprised to be honest but hoped our ticket office staff would do more to try limit the number of them in our end, could well sell out after all
-
Think it's just at the wee ticket office at behind the away stand from 13.30 today
-
I seem to recall our captain indulging in this "cheating" in the final game of last season
-
Was thinking the same earlier. I believe we should be doing everything as club to get as many folk as possible to these last few home games. Whether that be through reduced prices and/or some sort of free ticket offer.
-
Anyone know if/when there is a pitch inspection planned for today? Its been pretty wild down here and seemed like it was meant to be worse up that way. Hope there's no problems with the game as I feel we are playing them at the right time, their fans will be saying the same about us I'm sure, however I reckon we are going to sneak this one. 2-1 to the well

Saturday for me was all about getting 3 points, didn't matter how we did it we just simply had to win, which we did. There were a lot of positives though. The goal was a great move and when watched back was one of the best team goals we've scored in few years. Also I felt there were times where you could see what the manager wants from the team in terms of keeping possession and waiting for the right pass but its early days, however the very early signs look decent. I would also like to mention the celebrations from the players at the goal, they were buzzing, which showed how much this means to them. There's nothing better,as a fan, than seeing players show a bit of passion. Finally just a wee mention to the bois, there songbook was at times hilarious. Well done lads
-
Im looking forward to today's game. I fancy us to get the 3 points and I actually think we will win comfortably. Nice wee boost before Xmas to cheer us all up. I'm going for 3-1 to the mighty
-
Hoping for a decent crowd for this one from us as I'm sure Utd will bring a fair amount. As for the game itself it really depends on which team turns up! Although I have to say I'm not totally convinced Dundee United are as good as they are often hyped up to be, and with ciftci out then I reckon we have a chance. I'll go with 2-1 to the good guys and for us to maintain our 100% home record under Kenny Black

The Next Manager, Who Would You Want And Who Could We Get
stevie_mfc replied to stuwell's topic in Club Chat
Not really been paying much attention to the rumours simply because the last few managers have came from nowhere so no point in trying to guess names. All I would say is we need someone who can get this bunch of players playing again. Forget the manager, if the players dont get the finger out then we will go down simple as that, doesn't matter who we get to take charge. We need someone who can somehow get us up to at least 10th place and that looks like one almighty challenge for someone at the moment. -
McCall has been away with Scotland loads of times since he got the job. It didn't seem to harm us in the slightest last season. Yes this season has been poor but its not as if the players are going to be off till he returns! I think its the players we should be more concerned with.
-
I think its down how we play on the plastic park, the times we have played on it so far doesn't fill me with confidence however hopefully the players are still hurting from the disaster there last season and go out to prove a point! There will be some changes from Sunday because we surely have to be more attack minded in this game. I would start with Ainsworth and Ojamaa to put a bit of pace in the team, but i have no idea who to leave out. I do have a sneaky suspicion McCall might be tempted to leave out McManus though because if i remember right he struggled to train all week after the killie game on a similar surface, but thats just a wee feeling i have. Hopefully theres a big support there to spur the team on aswell, I will be positive and say we will sneak this 2-1
-
Have to agree that they are not that good however they are miles ahead of everyone in Scotland! Can't see us taking anything but you never know. As usual when we go there if we score first then that gives us something to hang on to but as soon as we lose the first goal in recent times in there we've lost a few goals.
-
Job Done! We needed 3 points and got them, simple as that. Bring on the Celtic

As far as I'm aware there's no buses going up!
