In all fairness we could be having this debate about any number of about 7 or 8 players just now. Simple fact is the whole team has under performed so far by their own standards from last season
-
I think we need to score the first goal on Saturday then we have a chance, however if we lose the first goal then it could be sore one. The team is low on confidence at the moment from what i seen at Killie so scoring first on Saturday would give everyone a lift and hopefully go on to win the game. I agree with previous posts that this is massive for us this week, dont think id go as far as saying its Must-Win however we do need something from the game. After the break we are up at dingwall, where we have never been great and then away to celtic so if we dont take anything this week then its possible we could be sitting bottom of the pile after 7 games. However i support Motherwelll and strange things happen when you least expect them .

Any decent pubs near the ground that allow kids in?
-
This is slightly off topic so apologies in advance but didn't want to start a new thread. The wee man got his strip signed at the end of the season and is wanting to get it framed to keep it good. Anyone know or used anywhere local to get such a thing done?
-
I think as long as shiels took a basic wage then I'd give him a chance. Would hate to see us break the bank so to speak to get him signed up
-
Anyone else slightly worried that Lasley hasn't signed yet?
-
Never ever thought I'd go to a game that was anywhere near as good as this but have to admit the recent game at Aberdeen runs it very close. More for the fact that the only team that benefited from us winning that one was us. Whereas Skippy Sunday was portrayed as us "doing rangers a favour" Was a fantastic day though
-
Got asked this by a mate the other day and it took me a while to come up with one. Ended up going for Ainsworths goal up at tannadice, early on in the season if I remember right. Just wondered what others thought was the goal of the season.

Anyone know of any buses heading up for this game?
-
Massive 3 points today. Thought we were the better team in the first half. But 2nd half I thought we looked nervous at times. However we got over the line at that's what matters at this stage of the season. Roll on Wednesday
-
Thought the club would maybe have sorted something with regards buses for this game, there is still time though. However it is a tricky one because a number of different scenarios could be played out between now and the final whistle on Wednesday night which would have a major impact on the interest in such buses. If we win the next 2 games and then i believe we could fill a good few buses but on the other hand if we lose a game and/or the sheep pull a result out of the bag against Celtic or Utd then i don't think there will be many at all wanting to go up. Like i said its a tricky one, do the club book buses now with the chance that they could end up with no-one wanting to go or wait till Thursday morning and have a mad scramble for buses.

This is massive on Saturday! Apart from the Celtic game our form of late has been disgraceful. But we have the first of 2 home games coming up and i believe we are capable, on our day, to beat anyone in the league at Fir Park. So I'm going for 2-1 to the good guys
-
Massive game this weekend, big chance to tighten our grip on 3rd place and obviously keep in touch with the sheep for 2nd. Some tough calls for the gaffer this week in terms of team selection. Keith will come back in but for who? I suspect a few changes with possibly Ainsworth starting as well. Any sort of performance similar to Saturday will see us win, but we are Motherwell and it's never that simple! Think we can sneak a 2-1 victory though

What a game that was. Wasn't looking forward to game at all but the team were outstanding. Right from the first whistle we were in about them and started at a great pace which i think showed towards the end. Every player knew there job and gave it everything which is all you can ask for as a supporter. Thought the penalty was soft but was at the other side of the ground but what a save from gunnar, didnt fancy his chances at all but im quite happy to be proved wrong. The goal before half time was a killer blow for us in terms of winning the game, had we got in at half time 2-0 its a completely different game. At the time i was raging at us throwing away another 2 goal lead i think in hindsight its not fair to compare this today to what happened at easter road for example. Celtic a far better team than hibs and are champions for a reason so they are always liable to come back. However the spirit of our team to comeback after losing a late goal was superb. All in all a good point, and a point in which i didn't us getting before the game, so therefore a bonus. Thought Leitch was outstanding, also have to say i thought Gunnar and ZFA had probably there best game for us. The work rate of Sutton and Anier was first class and spread through the whole team. Hopefully can kick on with a massive game at tannadice next week. Also special mention for the Well Bois in the east stand today, Thought the were tremendous, as usual, and brought a cracking atmosphere to the game.
-
Went for Jack Leitch but special mention to gunnar, penalty save was top drawer and had a few other good saves to keep us in the game. But Leitch was superb and looking like a real good prospect!
-
Had a feeling they would ban the drum after the last game there. Will be really disappointed if we don't come away with 3 points from this one.
-
Just seen on Sky Sports News that we have major doubts over 2 unnamed players,as well as faddy and carswell being out
-
The stage is set for McFadden, if fit, i feel for this one. Has hardly kicked a ball all season and has to come good at some point. And i think he may go there with a point to prove from a personal level against them. They are more focused on the Champions League just now and i believe they are there for the taking on Saturday. I will go for 1-0 well with faddy scoring the winner !
-
Thought we totally outplayed them first half and to be honest i felt we should have been 2 up at half time. Second half they were always going to come back into it but it was 2 really bad goals from our point of view. First one was Lasley trying a world class cross field pass to Ramsden which left him out of position and the second was horrendous that the boy ran 70 odd yards without any of our players getting near him. But i would have took a draw before and actually think its the best we have played all season and the team seem like they are starting to gel which is good. But the real question after watching today's game has got to be, When did Keith learn to hit a free kick like that??
-
I thought Keith was Superb today. Was unlucky with his free kick which i never knew he had in him. But a close second for me was carswell. He does a lot of the ugly stuff really well and sometimes goes unnoticed, covered every blade of grass today.
-
I think we are more suited to sitting in and soaking up pressure in the last 20mins or so than chasing the game at the same stage. I personally think we have been spoiled by the football we have seen the team playing over the past few years and this season may not be as good to watch as last season for instance but thats not to say it cant be every bit as effective.
-
Tough one for the gaffer this week a far as team selection goes. ZFA was probably our best player on Saturday when playing in his preferred position so it would be a shame to see him dropped but on the other hand i don't fancy Hammell at right back. As much as i thought he did perfectly fine on Saturday i think it could be an accident waiting to happen.

I think if we score first tomorrow we could win by a couple at least. I'm hoping the break does faddy some good and hopefully see some magic from him. I love beating St Mirren for some reason so hopeful of a decent result tomorrow. I'll go for 3-1 to the well faddy and sutton(2) against his old team.
