Its a big financial risk to take an injured player on who's been out for so long. If he doesn't get back soon then I can't see him being kept on. The medical men may even be advising against him playing for all we know? Sad but inevitable I'm afraid, although I would love to see him playing for us again.

You are seriously needing to take a chill pill, Dewell! All of the team made mistakes on Saturday but they all played for the jersey and tried hard and nearly came away with a victory. It may not have been slick and silky but it was a good old fashioned cup tie, packed with incident. I am looking forward to the replay and before that the chance to continue our UNBEATEN run against Adams' mob on Saturday- even if Kerr is playing.

Going up tomorrow, mainly because our away form, like last year has been excellent. But could someone explain why this crazy SPL have scheduled Tuesday and Wednesday night in late November for these games and just before the cup games? I can't see us taking many up to Tannadice what with the expense and the travelling time added to Saturday's demands on the fans and the team. I can't see the logic in this, especially since we have had a couple of blank weekends to accommodate our so called national team! Anyway, based on our great away form I am looking forward to us tanking the tangerines 2-1

Listened to the interview with the Partick manager yesterday. Apparently he doesn't have a contract and is playing for bonus money only! Partick also had a crowd of 5200 for the Dunfermline game. They hope to be able to offer him something in January if crowds remain high. Seem to remember he played a lot better for us until we gave him a 3 year deal? Personally I got fed up with him being caught in possession and taking forever to release the ball so maybe the lower pace of that division suits his style.Good luck to him anyway.

Calm down, Chris. I'm sure there was a big worm on the end of that line. Randy is up there, no doubt but the other one is just silly!

Should you not be away tae your bed, Diggle!

Or putting penalties over the bar or making shots at goal look like pass backs or failing to control out balls or passing balls back from the edge of the box instead of shooting or committing stupid fouls on the half way line etc, etc. He's had good games and scored some good goals in the last couple of years which is why he's still playing but if he's off form, which he appears to be at the moment then we do need to use a plan B or C which might not include him. Its ok, I'll go and take a tablet and wait for the onslaught.

Depressed last week, joyous this week. Its a roller coaster all right and it always has been. Great trip to Perth today with no road works and a sensible exit from the dearest car park outside of Edinburgh or Glasgow. Honestly a fiver! Then herded into a quarter of a side stand before they saw sense and realised we actually have a travelling support. The drummer and his boys did us proud today as did the guys on the park. Much intimidation of us and the ref and his assistants from the Saints who could have caused us a lot of damage with their recklessness in the tackle. I think that was the difference about us today- we really got stuck into them and did not take their cheating and kicking lying down. The midfield put in a power of work and the defence also worked hard but Ojaama and Murphy were everywhere and never gave them peace. Also 'the angel' gave a cameo performance and made the third goal with a great run past four men. Shape wise we were fluid, converting from 4-3-2-1 to 4-3-3 in possession and even 4-2-4 at times! Onwards and upwards.

Thank God , he's back! One Jamie Murphy.

Never felt so low on a Saturday afternoon for ages. Then again that kinda reflects how well we have performed over the last few years, I suppose? We certainly are not carrying any luck since three quarters way through the Aberdeen game and the season has become disjointed for supporters with the postponement and the International week, not to mention Sunday and Friday games! I think we really just need to get back to basics- including training schedules and things will become better, sooner. Some of the players looked sluggish as the game went on last night and only Henrik and latterly Carswell appeared to put some zip into their play. More enthusiasm is essential and I'm afraid SM's overweight appearance and general folded arms demeanour will not spur the players on at all. Having said that I ill still be at Perth on Saturday, hoping for improvement.

Never mind all that! EMBARRASSING! That's the only word to describe tonight. Not so much for most of the players but for that refereeing and his stand side assistant. Steve O'Reilly should never be allowed to referee at Fir Park again. His prejudice shows from the start and he reacts to our criticism by picking on our players and penalising the team at every opportunity. TV shows his bias clearly and he cannot be allowed to get away with influencing a game by making decisions which are at best mistaken and at worst are downright incompetent. He must be reported for this performance and the whole Jennings thing be dragged out again to show how he is influencing our games at Fir Park in particular. Having said that our manager cannot be excused entirely for some awful tactics in the second half and for making substitutions which made no sense whatsoever. We had much of the game in the first half and were unlucky to be one down to a superb strike. Why we decided to change our tactics at half time is a mystery.

You're far too sensible to be posting on here- and far too accurate!

Totally agree with your appraisal Spiderpig. We were taken apart by a much better team. I hope SM doesn't try to change too much of what we were doing before the Old Firm matches and is able to work on restoring confidence before we take on United. Its been a bad week but we have to look forward now.

We should be able to hit them on the break with the pace we have at our disposal. Having said that Humphrey is not competing and if he showed more heart he would have caused havoc. Either he contributes or he gets hooked early.

Humphrey- rabbit in the headlights

Turned the sound off! BBc blue nose commentary already got me shouting at the screen!

Why does that sound like one of Baldrick's 'cunning plans'?
-
Remember Skippy? Similar situation and look how that panned out. Well done the shooter! Let's get him on a deal?

I don't care what they call you. You guys are doing a fantastic job for the team. I do sit in the 'old man's graveyard' of the Phil stand but you have to beieive that any young folk brought by their faithers or grandads love to hear your songs and can't wait to get the chance to join in. I missed you at Tannadice on saturday but I hope you don't let the b'stards grind you down and you continue to drive this fine team on to more success. Well done the 'Well boys! Oh!, and Diggle.. If that's all you can say after a superb game and performance like that then maybe it's time you considered your support for the TEAM? Jamie was sacrificed for the sake of a formation and took it really well.

Agree with most of this but I cannot agree with the appraisal of Hateley. United piled the pressure on him first half because he and Daley were so poor and he was constantly out of position. He did do better second half but he needs to stop trying to score direct from every corner he takes. Anyway it was a good fightback led by a new young player who cared about playing and not getting beaten. Oh, and O'Reilly is a clown of a ref. He makes Brines look decent. Anyone know why he booked Crags?

Heard it on the radio coming home after the game that apparently we only took about 200 fans to Tanadice today. After the famous shut out of 60 of our boys at the last game I wondered if this was some sort of Boycott? I know January is a long month between pays but this the poorest turnout at an away game for a long time and the poorest by far at Dundee. Our choir was not as vocal either, which is a shame because they have added atmosphere at most away games this year. Finally I noticed that SMcC had to coax Higdon to applaud the few of us who waited to applaud the team at the end as he looked pretty pissed off and seemed to make a wee gesture after he scored? Anyone got any theories?

Were any of you 'experts' at St Johnstone a couple of weeks ago when he scored 2, including a smashing header? Honestly get a grip with your stupid criticism of a young man who gives a massive amount in every game and troubles every defence he plays against. Its not his fault if other players don't get on the end of some superb crosses he and Hammy, with his help, put in. Check the scoring charts for us and the SPL before you criticise one of our most important players this season. Then again, carry on abusing one of our own until you get rid of him.
