I'm a critic of murphys consistency but well done excellent performance today. Over the last few weeks looks back to the player he can be.
  4. Seriously thought we would get beat today, never saw a scoreline like that coming. Our ability to punish teams has hurt us so hopefully that will give the players a massive lift. We had come off the rails and confidence was low so let's use it to kick on, hearts are surviving and barely anny more so lets put them to the sword next week. As for today plus pass marks for every player Randolph must have a bad attitude or be incredibly high maintenance as this can be the only reason he has not been snapped up the guy is a class above our level. Murphy finally is beginning to show the player he is and glimpses of what he could turn out to be, consistency is his problem but he has come good the last couple of weeks keep it goingmurph. Oj had a scrappy goal but more than deserved hope he now taps into that goal scoring vein again but not too bothered if he doesn't as his contribution, work rate and sheer dogged determination is an inspiration to any young player out there. Cummings made amends for his mistake at the ict goal so well done young man. Nicky law where have you been the last few weeks totally ran the show. Others made it a solid team performance but the few above stood out most for me. Ict made it easy for us 1st half why butcher only put 1 man on humph I will never know as his pace is explosive and every other team in the Spl double up on him. Caley were a mile off the pace and we should have been out of sight by ht and as expected came out with fire in their bellies for the 2nd. What was to our credit was we held our discipline didn't panic weathered it only conceding 1 then the man to blame for that got us back to 2 in front again and they were clinically put to the sword. Well done Motherwell Ps didnt mention higgy as I'm one of the few that appreciates what he does every week.
  5. Think he was talking about the hibs game when he said about the officials.
  6. Now this is far from a knee jerk reaction tonight and i will not slate the players and call for the managers head however. Murphy hasn't kicked his arse in months. Humphry/Daly are football imposter's. Randolph has been our saviour far far to often. We look nowhere near having a settled defence that can communicate. Jennings is a massive miss for us we need a play stopper not maker to stop the opposition. I see no leadership on the park, i don't doubt the players will/ well maybe a bit after tonight's lie down and play possum performance. But what do we do to stop the rot, it was coming last season and OJ injected new life. We need a bit of dig and leadership on the park or this will just be a meaningless safe from relegation (Dundee are woeful) season but with nothing to play for. Skill may be lacking but i expect more of a fight than what i saw tonight.
  7. Sorry i think it should be MJC as he has such a high and mighty opinion he must have invested at the highest level surely?
  8. Im sure i saw jennings with a petrol can running away saying thats another bet secured
  9. Smoke from a generator at cooper. Not looking good 4 game going ahead still no power.
  10. Motherwell striker Michael Higdon with his Clydesdale Bank award Motherwell striker Michael Higdon nets player award Motherwell striker Michael Higdon has been named Clydesdale Bank Premier League player of the month. The forward, who is out of contract in the summer, netted six goals in September as Motherwell climbed to the top of the table. Higdon fired a hat-trick in the 4-1 win over Inverness Caledonian Thistle and scored a double in the away victory over Dundee. The striker also netted in the 3-3 draw with Aberdeen. “It's not just his goals, it's the way he leads the line” Stuart McCall Motherwell manager Higdon, who signed from SPL rivals St Mirren in June 2011, said he was happy at Fir Pak and would not rule out extending his contract with the Steelmen. "It's a long way to go until we talk about contracts," he said. "But my family is settled here and I have a little girl in school. "On that side of things, it's fine, but you just never know in football." The striker said he expected talks over a potential new deal to get under way in January. Play media [/url] Interview - Motherwell striker Michael Higdon Motherwell boss Stuart McCall praised Higdon as the focal point of his side's attacks. "It's not just his goals, it's the way he leads the line," McCall said. "Sometimes goalscoring goes in fits and starts. "Hopefully he can continue on a consistent level. "He's done that since he's been here and his goalscoring record is terrific. Long may that continue."

    Bluster

I think you actually have to get a shot on target first to win
  12. Isn't that what makes forums great everyone knows better than the other and their opinion is the only one that counts. Take it for what it is just a forum and unlike being pissed and ranting down the pub its still there when sober and not forgotten about. I had a major strop after the rangers game due to disappointment and having no sleep after a night shift, but still went today like an addict hoping for that one hit of pleasure. Didn't get it this week but will go looking for it against Utd. Sometimes people just need to blow off some steam.
  13. Difference of opinions i guess i thought we were being run ragged and pulled all over the place before that. Whats pissing me off most is Mccall Lauding them up when i think they disposed of us without really going for it, a good celtic performance but some of their finishing was terrible. They will need to finish better in the CLgames that's for sure.
  14. Gawd when was that i mind strathclyde finest asking me if i was going home when it reached 5
  15. Honest to fuk il have some of what you are smoking are you mental, what game did you see as only Randolph got pass marks and it may have stayed one nil is truly laughable. Make no mistake it was only poor finishing and fine goalkeeping that stopped this being a cricket score (Celtic shots 18,12 on target with a 62% possession). As for the long ball did you actually watch Forrest and brown drive a double decker right through our defence today? Motherwell 3 shots 0 on target. Mind you i think Mccall has had some of the same stuff as "The one thing from us is that we stuck at it." baffles the fuck out of me stuck at what exactly cos the score doesn't reflect the mauling we got on the park today.
  16. Fook me how we are only 2 down I've no idea
  17. Fraid looked that way from the cooper. Guy giving vicky to fans up back as they left.
  18. Right through the middle of us far too many times.
  19. I think we are really missing Jennings. Las can only do so much and players are being played out of their natural positions to try and compensate for it, it is also leaving us to be very easily bullied . We need an ugly type player in midfield badly, to slow opponents down break up thir play and give our midfield more time on the ball. Sadly I can't see it with the players we have we need someone in. Celtic will try to steamroller right through the middle of us and this must be the thing we try to stop most.
  20. My God burn the witch. 1 game and you are totally inept and incompetent We have had better teams fail at greyskull ffs over reaction astounding. Yes last night was sickening but please keep it in perspective, what has he done so far and with what ? Budget for this season was cut despite us reaching a cup final last season and euro games. A bit of perspective.
  21. Some people getting a hang up over legend and great. Tommy is in history so will be a great, Butcher helped us through our worst time ever so is to a degree a legend, but as for great well i think that's on form and McCall is a great to me but not a legend yet. His record is exceptional so far CL for the first time in our history (ok by default) but they still had to get there. Scottish cup runners up 2011 we now take Europe for granted rather than relegation battles, this shows how far we have come on since the days of malpace and Gannon. Legend not but a great maybe without doubt a potential. As for signing on read the bbc interview id be very very surprised if he doesnt sign on agan unlike that judas cun* brown. 21 September 2012 Last updated at 15:04 Share this page 106 Share Facebook Twitter print Manager Stuart McCall open to extending Motherwell stay Motherwell manager Stuart McCall is open to extending his contract with the Scottish Premier League leaders. The 48-year-old former Scotland star has impressed in his first 18 months at Fir Park, reaching the Scottish Cup final and Champions League qualifiers. "I'm more than happy with the job I'm doing and the squad of players and staff I'm working with," said McCall "I think people who know me know I'm fairly loyal. if I'm happy somewhere, I'm happy. It's not lack of ambition." Continue reading the main story “If you enjoy what you're doing, is it worth an extra 250 quid to move?” Stuart McCall Motherwell manager McCall, who played for Everton and Rangers, signed a two-and-a-half-year deal in late December 2010 after a spell in charge at Bradford City. The Lanarkshire side finished third in the SPL last term and currently sit top of the pile following an unbeaten start to the campaign. McCall said that contract negotiations were likely to begin in the "next few weeks". And he added: "Even as a player, if I was happy and enjoying coming into work, which I certainly am here, I don't have aspirations, I don't look higher, higher, higher. "I'm in the SPL, at a terrific club like Motherwell, and I enjoy coming into work every day. "I have nothing against thinking I will look to extend my contract." Stuart McCall factfile Born: 10 June 1964 in Leeds, England International honours: 40 caps and 1 goal for Scotland Managerial career: Bradford City, Motherwell Playing career: Bradford City (two spells), Everton, Rangers, Sheffield United McCall's contract situation mirrors most of his players and he admitted last week that he could lose a full team next summer. But while he is realistic about the possibility of losing the likes of goalkeeper Darren Randolph and midfielder Nicky Law, he hopes the job satisfaction he enjoys could persuade some players to stay. "Apparently I have taken a little bit of criticism about answering a question, but I think everyone knows loads are out of contract," McCall said. "We have got players who have come up from down south and maybe wanting to come up for a couple of seasons, but again the grass isn't always greener. "If you enjoy what you're doing, is it worth an extra 250 quid to move?" Captain Keith Lasley and Stevie Hammell both extended their contracts after last season ended and McCall hopes they might be able to tie some players down quicker this time round. "The budget had to be slashed by £200,000, that's why the Keith Lasley and Stevie Hammell saga took a bit longer, because other clubs in the SPL were willing to give them more money," he added. "But thankfully their loyalty to Motherwell kept them here. "It's a long way down the line but I'm sure there will be talks between now and Christmas. "We have to be realistic, some players will move back down south, but this is where we have to bring in players who can hopefully do just as good a job."
  22. Pissed off big time. Totally nieve play by some of the players. 1-3 and a pissy draw
  23. Reading post on great players for Motherwell and was wondering if MCall is now classed as a great in the line with managers along with the likes of tommy mc.Tommy had a geat team and delivered us our firrst cup I'm many yea ears but MCalls record with us is excellent. Champions league forthefirst time euro now seems a given every year and a cup final. Are we underestimating just how good he has been for this club? Thoughts please.
