  1. From Helicopter Sunday to Wheelbarrow Saturday
  2. Laws of the game say if a keeper is touching the ball with any part of his hand he is deemed to be "in control" and you cannot kick ball away from him. I personally think they should re-write the wording to say "touching the ball", would read better.
  3. I think McLaren, Millar, McVie, Wark & Stevens might take care of the Hearts front line I dare say.
  4. Different Scotland managers played McGrain and Jardine ahead of Joe even though both of them were right backs weren't they? Can't remember if was McGrain or Jardine who always switched to left back for Scotland instead of selecting Joe.
  5. Mind that gemme well, walked fae Craigneuk and back....changed days. One of them scored 4 that day I'm sure. Had got to Airbles Rd on the way back when the Motherwell mini bus with the players passed me and my mate. All I could wiz give the bus the fingers to say thanks a lot guys. Never quite sure if I wiz getting a V sign or a friendly wave back
  6. He could "do a Colin O'Neil" who came on as a sub in the 91 cup final despite barely able to run after an op.
  7. Celtic went down that route in recent years then the phrase "honest mistake" was born. Not much honesty last night.
  8. I watched the Scotland-Australia rugby game on Sat and the use of going to the video referee was great. Did not affect the flow of the game and ensured that the right decision is arrived at every time. Also, the ref is mic'd up and can hear him speak to the video ref. For the red card, the ref pulls BOTH captains over and the offending player and explains why he is sending him off. No dissent whatsoever. Simple, effective. How about it football?
  9. Yeah time for the Record and/or Sun to come up with "Rodgers pondering move for Moult" in Sat's paper.
  10. Pedro not needing to concern himself with the final? Check
  11. We'll be calling that a "Hartley turn" many seasons from now
  12. Correct, the ref will always have a straight on view of the goalmouth. Unless the ball is in the pie stall in the Cooper Stand, the decision will pretty much be in the hands of the linesman who should have a decent side-on view. Don't know if there's any players obscuring his view was there?
  13. It was really weird, I was driving back from work so I'm listening on DAB which has the Celtic commentary on. I know that game was running late but when it ended it then switched mid-sentence to them summing up some other game and it then became apparent I'd missed them summarising the Motherwell win,wiz raging. Was like some radio ham had control of Sportsound.
  14. I was at that game at Tynecastle, thought it was the esteemed Mr Levein that got Cusack sent off. Only time in my life I've written to a footballer to say don't worry Nick that arsehole Levein was a disgrace that day getting you sent off.
  15. Think Walter Kidd is the man to take care of that.....
  16. Not my decision but I've no idea why the club appealed Dunne's Ross County red card. Clearly bundled over a player in front of goal. Given that club probably have some ex-ref on a retainer to advise them on appeals and it's £1000 a shot, it's all the more surprising.
  17. From BBC Post-match reaction Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson: "We got the performance against Rangers but not the result, but we got both tonight and I think we deserved to get through to the semi final. Has Robinson been mis-quoted there? Save it for a few weeks
  18. Long way off but I'll be bringing my "Killie minded" pal to the Killie home game in Sep. I'm not a member so would we both be able to get in there? If not is JD's next best option? He's not been at Fir Park since getting lifted as a 9 year old so he tells me so promises to be on best behaviour
  19. Guys are work are telling me "oooh the English fixtures are out" and I'm like "who cares?". Fake news. Real news is when our fixtures are out. All roads lead to Hampden July 15th.
