I work in Dumbarton and can get a good 2.5 mile walk in if I go down and around the ground then back. From A814 main road turn left at Victoria St which leads on to Castle Rd and the ground is right in front of you. Looks like on street parking anywhere there shouldn’t be an issue.

2018/19 Game 27: Celtic (A) Sunday 24th February 3.00pm Kick Off

Big Shirley certainly did, 1989 old firm cup final. Don't remember much fuss being made about it. -
They have appealed Candeia’s red card (second yellow). Supposedly you can only appeal a yellow card if it’s mistaken identity and the team then has to name who should have received the yellow or wrongful simulation. No, me neither.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45835735 Chris Humphrey: Motherwell thanked by winger as he retires because of injury Winger Chris Humphrey says will "never forget" the support Motherwell gave him, after announcing his retirement from football because of injury. Humphrey, 31, lost his unborn son during his four-year spell at Fir Park - a time in which he played 163 games. The 31-year-old last played for Barrow on loan from Bury in February, having had a brief spell at Hibernian in 2017. "I've been playing for the last year or so with a lot of pain and I can't play through that anymore," he said. "Massive thank you to all the Motherwell fans. Everyone at the football club was great and I will never forget that." Wishing him and his family all the very best.

That is indeed the problem. So the laws of the game are for everyone, is it just Scotland interpreting it this way? I referee Sat morning youths and I will now make a point to say to teams and coaches....do NOT go out kicking players just because you see them doing it on Sportscene. In my opinion the law needs to be amended and there is a process to do that. I would say kicking a player should be a red card, end of. The current process for review means it will either be a red card or nothing at all, cannot retrospectively yellow card a player.

Less is more. Love it.

Is it the same lassie that aye dis the Queen of the South games? She will say "goal" then waiting for next 5 mins for her to tell us which team has scored. Dreadful.

From BBC website: Want-away Bigirimana goes close for Well Motherwell v Hamilton John Barnes BBC Scotland at Fir Park Football has finally broken out a keenly-contested and physical opening quarter. Motherwell have had the best chance so fa with a Gael Bigirimana header from a Chris Cadden cross superbly saved by Accies ‘keeper Gary Woods down low to his left. Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson thought Bigirimana was heading back to England before the transfer window closed on Thursday but the fact it didn’t materialise means he started today. Robinson said: “Gael wanted to go back down south but he hasn’t gone. He’s come back in with a great attitude and he deserves his opportunity.”

No, I've never seen one. Bearing in mind Maxwell was taken to hospital right after that picture was taken on the pitch. Think he had a ruptured/damaged spleen if not cracked ribs. Did he ever play for us again? New contract talks for him broke down and he left. Think him and Tommy fell out perhaps. Aye remember front page of next day's Sunday Mail with him in hospital bed with headline "MY HERO" with his Mrs there. Such was the distance from the terracing behind the goal where I was when Malpas hit that shot at the end of extra time, I had no idea if it hit the bar or did Maxwell save it!

Laws of the game say if a keeper is touching the ball with any part of his hand he is deemed to be "in control" and you cannot kick ball away from him. I personally think they should re-write the wording to say "touching the ball", would read better. -

I think McLaren, Millar, McVie, Wark & Stevens might take care of the Hearts front line I dare say. -
Different Scotland managers played McGrain and Jardine ahead of Joe even though both of them were right backs weren't they? Can't remember if was McGrain or Jardine who always switched to left back for Scotland instead of selecting Joe.

He could "do a Colin O'Neil" who came on as a sub in the 91 cup final despite barely able to run after an op.

Celtic went down that route in recent years then the phrase "honest mistake" was born. Not much honesty last night.

I watched the Scotland-Australia rugby game on Sat and the use of going to the video referee was great. Did not affect the flow of the game and ensured that the right decision is arrived at every time. Also, the ref is mic'd up and can hear him speak to the video ref. For the red card, the ref pulls BOTH captains over and the offending player and explains why he is sending him off. No dissent whatsoever. Simple, effective. How about it football?
-
Yeah time for the Record and/or Sun to come up with "Rodgers pondering move for Moult" in Sat's paper.
