Feeley should not be chair. We cannot have the head of the Society a bloke who doesn't believe in the purpose of the society.
-
McMahon is outgoing. Dickie has quit the WS so his place on the exec board should be removed and Feeley should be removed as chair if he doesn't believe in the WS. He's welcome to finish his term and stand for re-election.

You won't get a figure of how much DD's have increased. These things are variable and it be mad to announce they are getting £7000 a month more or whatever

Many tickets we got for this?

While I agree with you Steelboy's concerns are legit, maybe not his end of season projection there but I think you can build the team around Miller but expect better than Paton to be his out ball. I don't mind Paton but I have concerns that SK loves him and will squeeze him into the team every week if he can.

I never saw any of Canada When they had their prelim squad I was surprised Theo made it. Up front is where Canada are best.

What's this based on? Cos I think the issue is he doesn't have that much. I am sure he said as much somewhere.

Feeley won't go anywhere. He's a stubborn wee man.
-
This is it in a nutshell. Ignoring his proposal, did no one see his online/whatsapp interactions? The man is unhinged.

A few we other snippets I had: Tom was also confident that with the "Motherwell men" on the board if the proposal went through there'd be no need for EB to have the deciding vote. Cos he felt the Motherwell men would prevent it. I pointed out it doesn't always work that way as an example, himself. Voted on the WS board to protect and maintain the Society, Only to vote against society's ownership. When I mentioned we'd probably make up the EB money if not surpass it with the sale of Bair and Miller he said, "we'll sell Bair, We're not selling Miller." Before going into the "what if" injury thing. Make of that what you will. Similarly when I asked "what happens to the society if this deal goes through?" Tom gave the ideal scenario where there is the same amount of members contributing and the Society have X amount of money for a back up. I pointed out that I don't think that would be the case as many members, myself included, would stop their contributions. He couldn't fathom this, I was trying to put a point across "why would anyone contribute to something that has moved the goal posts and no longer stands for it's original purpose?" but it was a busy part of the room and the questions were flying at him.

I was there. It was a good event. All the WS board members were there. I felt the WS members who were against investment were spot on in any chat I had with any of them. Tom Feeley was there too and to be fair he showed up and fought his corner. I didn't really feel there was any answers to the questions I asked of Tom and his decision and anything I said was met with a "what if" *insert worst case scenario.*

There is nothing insightful in suggesting the club needs investment. Mr McMahon has said it for years.Done little about it. Now the attempt to gain some is ready to go. Just as he is.

fucking hell some folk aren't half pessimistic

Feeley and Dickie won't want to rock the boat, they've a cushy wee number, interesting time ahead.

What a thread! Loved reading the old names. I must've been on a sabbatical at this point.

Did we lose at the weekend?

KVV did not deserve any criticism what so ever. When he was "looking huffy" etc it due to the fact he was expected to do the donkey work of a Mandron/Obika while trying to do his own job also. The wide players couldn't get close enough regularly to build up any rapport and KVV often had two centre halves to deal with. There were occasional flashes of the KVV we loved in there but he flourished once the system was changed. Not really a surprise.
-
He's not our project. He needs to hit the ground running and be good for us. Still he looks like he'll be a good player for us.
-
I am looking forward to seeing this Bair guy.
-
Butcher was what mad us tick, moving him is not something I'd favour.
-
Nicky Devlin was right good and I would have loved us to go for him.
-
Look's like they just missed the playoffs, by 12 places.

I agree we should stay away from the forwards we had in already. Decent foil for KVV but that was cos he needed someone to support him and KVV could have worked with almost anyone I reckon.
