The pitch was awful yesterday, That was obvious and I feel contributed to the shite® standard of play from both teams. Utter dross again, Last minute goal again. I don't remember either midfield being involved at all. I want to point out a few things. Ripley - Utter shite for that first goal. A bus could have got in that front post. (Missed the second cos when they got the free kick I said "I don't want to witness this" and went for a piss before the journey home.) McManus - Maybe I expect to much of someone with his experience and International caps. Loves a long aimless ball humped 80 yards up the park. Laing - seemed "solid" enough at times. seems to have learned his trade from McManus as he loves to hoof the ball up the park. Gave the ball away about 80% of the time he had it. Johnson - Useless unless given the ball to his feet with 20 yards of space. Others have been pointed out already but I felt the need to recognise these players.

I don't think McDonald can play up front alone, That's where my frustrations were coming in with him.

Still gutted we missed out on Hoe-Been-ho

This thread has been pretty positive, I like that. I have known 'Flow for years. Good guy. I need a sound clip. My message tone of "Oh Stegosaurus" is a bit dated now!

I agree other than Pearson signing, CM had been awful when it comes to bringing folk in recently
-
I think that is more to do with his remarkable good looks rather than his football ability. I see folk who pick holes in his distribution, quite rightly so at times. I see folk who think he is half a second slower than he used to be, quite rightly so and then there is folk who have a go at him blowing out his arse after 75 mins, once again quite rightly so at times. I think he is still a very important part or team. He hustles very well and often holds the midfield together. He wins the ball and makes a nuisance of himself. Good player in our team.

You have his age wrong. The "superman" image may be something you have imagined. I just think despite his flaws, he is one of the most consistent of our players and we miss him when he doesn't play.
-
Keith Lasley get some amount of undeserved mentions of his age. He is still one of best players over the season. We miss him awfully when he doesn't play.
-
I must be the only person who had no problem with McGhee calling out Ainsworth, Which he never actually did. Was he supposed to ignore that someone lost their man?
-
As I said, I don't think he has played well in any more than 5/6 matches, there has defo been games where he was awful but scored a goal or laid one off. Maybe I am expecting too much but I thought he'd be a lot better than he has been.
-
Maybe my expectations are too high, but I think other than a handful of games, he has been poor.

I thought Tom Hateley was a good player for us (unless Omar Daley was playing infront of him). I think was really need to look at the squad and start using the youth squad. The two Leitch brothers, Thomas, Watt, MacLean & anyone out on loan. They can't be worse than some of the options we have. It's no surprise the guys who have been most successful from our youth system are the guys who were put into the first team at an early age.

I'd have to see it again, at the game I couldn't place Kennedy on the park.
-
Whilst other points may be valid. This is complete fabrication. In what way is he a "McGhee Favourite"?? If he had come in out of nowhere then fair enough, he has been first choice right back for what? 3 managers? His ability can be questioned of course.
-
For the first Kennedy seems to leave his man and go towards the ball leaving two in the middle, one of whom Hammell is on the wrong side of. McManus goes to the front man, Hammell was shite today but it seemed as though he was "given" that man at the last moment. Second one is horrible, Gomis commits to the ball, slipped insde to the runner, Pearo is twaggin about in the middle of the park, doesn't make any effort to recover, and the boy shoots and scores. McManus was beating but little fault in that I feel.

I would like to start this off by saying I am in no way standing up for Mark McGhee or saying that I don't think he should shoulder some of the blame. The players however have been god fucking awful. We have had 2 seperate managers for most of the players (some of them have had 3) and we are still looking awful. We really need to look to get rid of some of the so called "senior players". Scott McDonald has been absolutely honking, One or two games aside at most. Stephen McManus has been terrible for 2 years, get in every game. Pearo has been our most consistent player but beenawful recently, his absolute failure to bother his arse tracking back at Killie's second yesterday was criminal. If Louis Moult is dropped for having a bad couple of games I don't see why these guys get away with it, Pearo could be the only exception as his shite displays only seem to have come about recently. McGhee is taking it in the neck (and deserves some stick) but the players on the field are getting away with murder, for all McGhee's faults these players weren't assembled by him. We are always stating that the squad has more quality than the league position would indicate. I am starting to doubt that is the case.

I for one am shocked. Got a link?

yes

I was also delighted they did. However they were not very good from the start of this season.A fair crack? I would trust that the management team seeing them everyday would give them a fair idea of what they think about them. If they give it a push in their daily job I am sure if they deserve a crack, they would get one.
-
Neither of those player you mentioned have been anywhere near "two of our better players" this year.
-
Aint oor players a sensitive bunch! Luckily we can stand up for them all.

The McGhee haters will eat that interview up

I remember the horses caused more agro as they themselves were feart. -
Thought It was clearly a continental style 4-2-3-1 attempt. Pearo was dreadful, Think we lost cos we took Las off. He wasn't having a good game, But it's the area he would have been around where they scored from. He may have been able to get closer to the player. McGhee left any changes too late (and made the wrong changes I think) because we got a goal from nothing.
