Another game another convincing performance and victory. The pitch, I think today more than in the past affected play, but still don't see how it stopped Murphy from scoring those 2 sitters, they were just bad misses. All in all, a very good win very few negatives for me, the run goes on. Garry Hay is a scumbag.

Just reinforces the view that in the evolution of man, John Hughes and Brian Easton, are several stages behind.

BBC Hibs have won their appeal against the red card.

Two weeks isn't exactly a long time, although I'm confident that it wouldn't come to that.

The pitch, whilst in no great condition, has been deemed playable by every official so far this season, this seems a whole load of nonsense to me, until it causes a game to be called off then it's fine.

Well, I'd say it's becoming much more widespread, currently 11 NFL teams have FieldTurf installed at their home stadium, and I'm pretty sure there'll be more in the future as teams re-locate. It's the way forward, as seen in New England with their pitch being a mudfield much likes ours, since the installation of FieldTurf about 2 years ago now, I can't remember any injury that has been brought about solely thanks to the surface, infact, a study releasead, conducted over a5 year period found very similar injury levels between fieldturf and grass.

Yes, remember the team training under it in during McGhee's first year I believe. I'd say the USH does work, compared with other years we've had very few call offs.

We've had balloon type things in the past, including last year and the year the park was actually shut down for a month and still had problems.

Coke baffles me. At times he looks like a class act, capable of putting his foot on the ball and letting things develop but recently he's been way off the boil. Whether that's down to moving out wide, a more fast paced system under Broon than under Gannon or something else I don't know, but I hope he gets up to speed soon, he definitely has the potential, but not a lot of time left to show he merits a new deal with others out of contract like Jennings are showing so much more.

Ball went into the front of the stand during the warm ups at HT and a wee guy just left it, Benji looked a bit miffed and jogged over to get it back himself, just he got to the trackside the guy chucked it away, Benji turned round, put his hand out to the side and gestured his opinion of the thrower, to which Buzz buckled. Edit: Aye, pretty much was SDT said.

That was superb. I enjoyed the game today at times, albeit after a very dull opening 20 or so minutes until Sutton's shot and the sending off. After that we really did look totally in control and it would be only a matter of time before we scored, although as time went on I was beginning to wonder if it was going to be one of those days. Was surprised to see the Juke wasn't playing, hadn't heard anything about his injury pre match until the teams came out so that was a surprise however Murphy did very well and it would be very harsh if he was back on the bench when Jutkiwecz is back fit. Sutton was again outstanding, the guy does so much work it's unbelievable, really hope we'll be able to hang onto him going forward as I think he keeps us going a lot of the time upfront. Similarly I pray we hold onto Jennings, he is a class apart in our midfield at times, out of the more defensive midfielders we play, he's by far and away the one I hope we sign on a longer term basis, Lasley was very frustrating to me, gave a lot of cheap possesion away and put us in danger a few times by being out of position which allowed Hibs to pass straight through our midfield as Frazza alluded to. All in all though, a good shift from everyone and it seemed to show on the players at the end, to a man they looked knackered, though Humphrey was about to collapse at full time as he just stood there looking a bit lost. The effort over the last month has been nothing short of amazing, almost 2 months with only 1 league goal conceeded (one which should never have happened) is an unbelievable achievement, one that can only be put down to the partnership of Craigan and Reynolds re-discovering it's form with a solid pair of hands backing them up. The run is going to end sooner or later, but over the next three games, I think we should be good for at least 5 points, possibly even 7- realistically, I don't think third is outwith our reach.

Ruddy saved us a point.

Correct me if I'm wrong or have missed something, but ours was also grown from seed until the horrendous patch up job?

Worst game in a long time. O Brien failed to make any impression and was rightly hooked, there are no words to describe how bad Coke was today and McGlinchey was none too hot when he came on either although I've got no idea why he was put up front with Sutton left mid. All in all a horrendous advert for football with nothing positive to take away from it. Yellow Jedward must be a contender for diver of the season, the one just before half time where he rolled about 6 yards from where the clash happened was terrible. Simons says FTW!

Do you have to drive? It really is the perfect train day IMO, right next to the park and no need to worry about the little Hitler car park attendants that are in Sainsbury's.
-
Might be a good chance to get grievances about a certain Mr Dougal out in the public domain, see if his fellow Record reporters defend his horrendous stance and maybe with O'Brien on it we may get a hearing.
-
It was suggested by a few but sadly no takers
-
Could be an interesting one for the club to ask the SFA/Record for clarification, pretty sure they could try spin it as defamation... Or even to the PCC under their "accuracy" clause...

He is, but we all know if there is any dubiety to a decision involving the old firm, they will side with them. That's the reason why I think a bit more savvy was needed from Forbes at the time to just let it roll in, or at very worst follow it in but don't touch it. Heat of the moment and all that and seeing the glory, but we know how corrupt our officials are.
-
He's basically saying "Against the Old Firm, officials will always fall down on their side if there is an element of doubt in a game involving them."
-
I'm convinced John Hughes is trying to implement a new tactic with 4 goalies and 7 strikers.
-
Billy Reid- he wouldn't know a good footballer if it hit him in his baw face.

I think barring a major collapse we'll be in the Top 6. I think the players are on a tremendous run and after last nights heartache/cheatery will be chomping at the bit to go out and pump Accies this weekend. Dundee United are no great side either, very very patchy now under Houston so I don't see why we can't catch them, especially having them to play twice. It's very much do able to get 4th I think and that's where we'll be aiming for. 1 goal in about 600 mins of football conceeded, unbeaten in the league this year, all pointing towards a strong push to the top 6 which, when in, we can set about getting into Europe.
-
Yes, but the majority of them are already established in the league therefore its harder to replace them. For someone to break into the league they need to be something special and Reynolds just isn't that unfortunately.

His work rate is incredible. For a guy his size you wouldn't think he is fast, but he can fair turn the jets on, defends for his life and is fantastic at holding up the ball. Him and the Juke have formed a brilliant partnership upfront and long may it continue. My only criticism of him is his shooting, he floats far too many shots straight at the keeper.
